  1. If the only thing not stock about it are things like pads, etc, do you think he really needs to worry about it? I think cleaning it up in general is a good idea. Plasti-dipped rims would probably turn me off on the whole car, if it were a random car I was going to look at. I'm not saying to have them professionally powder coated, but maybe try to clean and paint them yourself?
  2. What everyone else said. Swapping the trans, unless you plan to keep it for a long time, sounds like a bad idea for resale.
  3. Their regular prices seem steep, especially for pints, but Growler of the Day the 1 time I got it was a great price.
  4. That place is awesome. When we go down to Ikea, we also like to go to Jungle Jim's and Jack In The Box. Why not make a whole day of it!
  5. It had nothing to do with that. I had great service there before and after that. I really think, hope, if what people where saying happened, actually happened, that place would have been shut down. It could have been true, or just a good story, so I ignored it. But their customer service over the last few months has gone from bad to horrid. They seem to have lost their one amazing beer knoweldge person who would bend over backwards to do what the customer wanted. I think that was the beginning if the end. The other guy that was ok must be off of his meds now. He was a dick to my wife when she went in there the other day, so we are done with them! This is coming from someone who used to be one of their biggest fans.
  6. Actually, I'm done with that place. Absolutely horrible customer service lately, which is what they were really good at. I will drive a bit further and go to Weilands, Kenny road Market or Palmers. Those or Anderson's gets my vote!
  7. I have no idea how the booster would cause that system to fault.
  8. Probably a sensor, probably a wheel speed sensor issue (or harness sending the signal to the ABS/TDC ecu). Before the ABS/TDC was able to detect it was getting a bad signal, it was using that signal as a real signal. So say you are traveling at 60mph, and it thinks a wheel, or all wheels are at 0kph, it will cut the brakes completely. In this case, the fail safe detection should happen quickly enough that it doesn't cause a huge issue. This is why we do, or should do, extensive FEMA/FTA testing, but as we all know, not all systems or cars are created equal. The good thing is, if the ABS/TDC light is solid on, it's detected them problem and the system shouldn't intervene now. The other good thing is, there is a code in the system for whatever sensor the system is getting a bogus signal from. Unfortunately since it's not the FI ecu, you can't just hook up a generic code reader to it. You will need someone with a maker specific capable (ABS) code reader. Someone with an expensive Snapon/etc, or a dealer will easily be able to pull up the code. Baring that, one of the first things I would check is looking in the wheel wells to see if there is an obvious disconnected connector or damaged harness for the wheel speed sensors. Being down in the wheel well, they are more likely to get damaged over time.
  9. If you don't have 100 of those boxes sitting around, you've been doing it wrong.
  10. I also think anyone at The King of Hammhers might have a thing or two to say about that.
  11. But Joe, the real question is, does that Starbucks look familiar?
  12. Inb4 half of the board is a lyfy/uber driver.
  13. I would assume it's a 1099 at the end of the year. I'm sure they aren't doing it off the books. I hate Lyft on principle due to the stupid mustaches. I've heard really good things about Uber. We are flying down to Nashville next Friday, and driving back with my parents on Sunday. So we are debating to leave the car there and pick it up on the way back in, cab or Uber. I'm leaning towards giving Uber a try because fuck traditional cabs and it will be a bit of an inconvenience to go pick the car up on the way back. The better question is; who gives a shit? I don't know this guy. So I give -1 shits, that's less than 0 shits in case you aren't good at math. Do you know this guy, personally?
  14. We went backpacking a few weeks ago and MoJoe had one of those. It was a giant PITA to even try to use. I don't think I'd personally buy that one... but maybe for just in case, probably wont' happen, emergency backup, it would work. 2 other guys had this, http://www.cascadedesigns.com/msr/water/treatment/sweetwater-microfilter/product And I think this one http://www.cascadedesigns.com/msr/water/treatment/hyperflow-microfilter/product and I will be buying one. I guess if it's something that's just in case, the one you posted probably can't be beat for the price, but it can't definitely be beat... very easily in ease of use.
  15. Either states have rights to have their own laws or they don't. Can't have it both ways when it leans towards ones own agenda. I'm not directing this towards anyone in particular in this thread, just trying to start a conversation.
  16. I know that feels bro, it got pretty bad at my last gig before I left.
  17. Beat me to it, but I'm glad I'm not the only one to think that. It looks kind of like Brandon :lolguy:
  18. With my house the downspouts go into PVC into the ground and out the the curb, is this what you mean by in ground lines? I would think if installed correctly, this would be much better as it gets the water very far away from the house. I also wonder if this is part of why water comes into our house where it comes is. It's especially 'bad' at 1 corner, right around where the line comes from the back of the house downspout and connects to the front, which is also right where the front downspout is. I know the install was shitty. I had to dig up part of the line due to massive amounts of tree roots. The PVC lines were just slid into each other... the wrong way... and one of them was severely pinched versus being expanded. This caused a place where water would necessarily flow out of the pipe. Kind of wondering if I should dig all of them up at some point and do a 'correct' install. I feel like I'm probably going to fight an uphill battle with the roots at every joint every year or two.
  19. Details? One of my coworkers really wanted to go see this last night, but I'm not sure if he was able to make it. I'm sure he'd be interested in going to check it out at Polaris.
  20. Super clean RX7 FB? http://bringatrailer.com/2014/06/16/bat-exclusive-modified-1979-mazda-rx-7/
  21. Love the jump seat in the back of that Toyota.
  22. What do you have it running so far? How easy was it to get modules to communicate with the hub? Like I said, doing research on what to get and always happy to hear ups and downs from people who have actually used some system. Do you have one of these? "A bridge is not required if you have the new Trane XL824 or American Standard Gold XV thermostats. The bridges are actually inside of these thermostats, so no need to purchase a separate one."
  23. Does the Belkin WeMo use wifi, it's own protocol or someone else's (zigbee, zwave, etc)? Edit: Looks like Wifi, but looks like $50+ (msrp) for each module. The Maker does look awesome though.
