FS: IKEA Slatten Beech Effect Flooring 315 sq ft $100
Trouble Maker replied to dakotart's topic in Other Stuff
Before we moved into our place we had Columbus Floor Sanding refinish our floors and replace a small section (~3x4) that had some serious damage and needed ripped out. You can't really tell where the 90 year old floor ends and it starts. They did a great job all around and were very reasonably priced. It's a local family business, which I also like. Might be worth looking into, even if just for the part that needs fixed. http://www.columbusfloorsanding.com/ -

That's awful, good job going back to the original hardwood floors. GL with the sale. -
So, anything other than Hopslam gate? Serious question. I read both sides in that and can't jump to any conclusions. Really the biggest detractor I have from that even being a situation is that, wouldn't they get into serious trouble with the LCB and supplier if this were true? I've been going there since I moved into the neighborhood and have never had any issues. But I also don't want to support a shady business if there is any real evidence that they are. It's also the closest store to me, so it would be hard to give up. To the OP... I would think you can get that pretty much anywhere that has a good beer selection.

I've heard that guy with the E92 is an ass hat. :gabe:

Step 1 would be to laser that tattoo off of your arm. It will be the best waste of money you've ever spent.

I might have to watch part of this race just to see the car.

I love using projects as an excuse to buy new tools.

Great, I really want these cars gone! -
Anything from a reputable brand should be fine. I would think you should be able to get into a good entry level bike for around $500 new. Do you really want/need a mountain bike? Something more like what Randy was talking about might be more the ticket if you aren't going to offroad. Something more of a hybrid will be easier to ride on everything but off road and have a more upright, 'comfortable' seating position. I don't know anything about these specific bikes, but just as some examples. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/rove.3/14858/66251/ http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/roam.3/14821/66248/ If you can afford 1 step up price wise, their $650 option bikes on those have disc brakes, and I'm sure other better components. I'm sure most big brands have some type of bike like this. Really, just go to a shop and ride some bikes and see what you like.

2003 Ford Focus SVT 116kmi $4.6K CR only firm
Trouble Maker replied to Trouble Maker's topic in LBTS GLWS
I do not know if the clutch or timing belt have been replaced.' Come take a look at the car, the worst thing that will happen is you get a chance to drive a different car and meet another person from the board! Bulbs came in last night, will replace this weekend at the latest. I can get them on before that, before anyone wants to come look at the car if someone wants to come sooner than that. -

Just did an Autotrader search 62 Focus SVTs for sale country wide. Only 6 for less than this. 5 of those have more miles. The 6th one is 1kmi less for $100 less, so about the same. Only 14 5 doors, 2 of which are less than this with more miles. -

Thanks! Swapped old bulbs left to right and right to left and problem followed the bulb. Bulbs ordered. -
Just bought this from EvoXBMX last summer http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112778 I've really enjoyed it but after I bought this car I started a new job where I get great lease deals so I'm taking advantage of that. The car: 2003 Ford Focus SVT 5 door, black exterior, black+red interior. Factory option HIDS, Winter package (heated seats, mirrors, TCS, block heater), 'audiophile' sound system w/sub, very good condition tires. Goods: Runs and drives great, is a fun little car and has a ton of room inside. This car started right up even on the coldest of days this winter. Bads: 1 HID is out (fixing soon), drivers side heated seat doesn't work, could use a wax (will do soon when I have time and weather is good). Has incorrect size wheels & rims for the SVT. These are aftermarket and correct for a regular Focus (205/50/16, SVT should be 225/45/17). I was just going to use these for winters and get a new set of rims and tires this spring. I'm asking what I finally bought the car for from another member, as I feel that is the only fair thing to do. He gave me what I felt was a great deal and I'd like to try to pass that along. I have put a few miles on it, but part of the deal I got the car for is that he didn't have to clean up the interior. I did a very deep cleaning of the interior on this car, and a little in the engine bay. The only thing I didn't touch on the interior is the middle of the seats, they could use a good shampooing. I will be giving it a good wax soon. This is a CR only member price, and is firm here. When I post it up elsewhere it will be for a bit more. If you have a friend that wants it, it will be more. I will be fixing up things on the car as I have time, but it will not change the price on the car here. If you happen to want to pick it up quickly before I fix these things, that's fine too! http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=880&pictureid=7541 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=880&pictureid=7540 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=880&pictureid=7543 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=880&pictureid=7542 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=880&pictureid=7544 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=880&pictureid=7539 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=880&pictureid=7538

Bump, took this thing for a drive just to go through a warming cycle and knock the rust off of the rotors from it sitting. Started right up like it usually does and drives great as always. I'm still surprised about how well this thing drives going down the highway. Come pick this thing up! Throwing this thing up on Craigslist in a few minutes..... -

Craig, more explanation on the garage/shop space differentiation? I just assumed the total structure had to be 720sqft. Are you going to do 30 wide by 24 deep, 3 cars wide?
-
Gerg, you going down to MotoGP? I really want to go to F1 this year! Scotty, I've been to 2 different K1s around LA, they are a blast too. The electric cars are a lot of fun and very different from the gas carts.

Me and my parents have used him over the years and he always goes above and beyond. Bill is one of the only people I will take my cars to!

This seems like it could be an easy/less expensive way to book the flight and hotel at the same time. I know Berto got a deal through here and it worked out well. http://www.travelzoo.com/vacations/hawaii/ At some point, you will have to pick dates. Just play around with the dates on Kayak or the like to find the best deals. Not saying it's a bad idea to use a travel agent, but just giving some other ideas. It definitely takes time and patient to nail down dates and places on your own when you don't do it often. If you don't have that time, a travel agent could be a great idea. It took some finagling to get just the 'right' flights (only 1 stop both ways, through somewhere out west) going to 1 island, hopping to the next and back here when we went.
