Pretty sure that's not true. They may have implemented a different ECU with additional security features, or boot loader, but every module on the CAN bus would have to be changed to support Global B, and that's not something anyone is going to do on a model year change-over or new engine option. It's a huge expense. Also, AFAIK, Global B moves to CAN-FD. The security measures are multifaceted. You have a desire to lock down the calibration due to emissions regulations. They'll want to prevent warranty fraud. And they need to minimize their cybersecurity risk after several high profile vehicle hacks have exposed safety concerns. With cybersecurity, keep in mind that GM said this is their first launch that supports Over The Air (OTA) software updates (notice how that coincides with the introduction of Global B and all of these security measures). When you open up the vehicle to allow software to be flashed remotely, you need to ensure only the correct software is able to be flashed. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

I hear that the vehicle shares its s/w version information with the GM cloud, and the on-board security certificate changes over time, such that the vehicle has to update/request a new/valid certificate from the cloud at some interval. All s/w versions must be "signed." Of course this is rumor and the exact implementation may be easier to get around for tuning purposes with physical access to the ECU. Not only that, but from what I hear, the ECU's are locked down pretty hard to prevent tampering. It's the first vehicle to launch with GMs Global B electrical architecture, as well as several cybersecurity countermeasures. On day 1 don't expect to bolt on a supercharger, swap big injectors, and tune the ECU with HP tuners. It's going to take time, and probably will have to start with piggybacks. Chrysler 300S AWD? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

The AWD HEMI was/is only available on the 5 speed auto. After the 2015 refresh retail Chargers are only available with the 8 speed, but they still make the 5 speed/HEMI/AWD for police (with a column shifter). OP: Didn't you want to tow a camper with the Durango? Is that still a requirement? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Than GM, sure, but not the new RAM. It will be interesting to see the comparisons between this and the Power Wagon. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Damn! You did a good job on that. I wish I lived closer to Columbus so I could have you do my Durango. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

After driving an Equinox for the last 9 years (dear God it's crazy I did that for so long...) I FINALLY got rid of it. This week I picked up a 2018 Durango GT V6 AWD. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

I'm wondering about this too. A coworker has it and loves it, but he's the only one I know. I have been with Verizon for about 20 years and have a Loyalty Plan that's $65/month for 2 GB. It's about time to buy a new phone and I'd like more data so I'm checking my options. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

What size? Rural King sells 3 lb for $12.99 or 50 lb for $119.99 Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

You could try Rural King, if you're out by Marion. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

I came here to say this. Check out a Duragno R/T or Citadel. Citadel is more luxury and comes in V6 or V8, R/T is V8 only and more performance oriented. They come in 2WD and AWD, but both have the 8 speed transmission. I'm in the market for the same thing and will probably end up with a Citadel Platinum (2017+). Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

There were guys seeking these out to swap into Fiero's back in the day. Supposedly a few up to 300-325 HP N/A, and that was back in the 90's. They also had a more exotic sounding exhaust note. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

I was at Kart2Kart about 2 weeks ago with 2 guys that play iRacing with full wheel/pedals/seat set up, and they do pretty well. One has moved to an Oculus while the other just has a screen. The guy with the Oculus was talking about how he feels it's a night and day difference, primarily because you have depth perception when approaching and braking for a corner. I've been tempted to get an Oculus or a Vive for a while know. Interested to hear what you think as well. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Finally finished all the flooring. Just trim work, wall, and kitchen counters left. I'll be happy when it's summer time and I'm sitting on the patio. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Forgot to update for a few weeks but got the floor down through most of the place, had to make a threshold for the bathroom, and had furniture and appliance delivered. Doing the flooring in the bedroom this weekend. Still have to fix the counters, cut a sink out, have the plumbing moved, prep and paint, trim.... Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

I may have to look that up. MARS on Nat Geo is directed by Ron Howard and blends drama with interviews and current events. I think it's been decent, but I just started watching Season 2. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Is that anything like MARS on Nat Geo? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Installed the new entry door this past weekend since the temp got up to 38 deg, but next weekend is supposed to be in the 20's with freezing rain and snow. The first problem was a long time ago someone laid a galvanized pipe in the concrete as a psudo-threshold. It wasn't going to come out without a fight, so I used a grinder to cut it off, flush with the concrete. Also, since the structure is concrete block, and the doorway is fully inside the block, we cut a majority of the brick mold off on the table saw. After that it was pretty straight forward of an install. This picture was before I installed the last trim piece at the top, after cutting back some spray foam (my FIL went a little crazy of the spray foam). After that I got the high spots in the concrete floor ground down and fairly level. There was a little bit of a high spot around that crack in the floor. I'd like to fill the crack before I put the new floor down (epoxy?). The vacuum attachment for the grinder was worth every penny. I also got my first cuts of the kitchen counters done, but they're not finished yet. Was running out of time so I picked up the flooring and had to hit the road.

Yeah, a total PIA to install because it has no frame to anchor to the wall and shim. You have to install it at the same time as the two neighboring cabinets, so it becomes a giant 3 way balancing act. I'm sure a seasoned pro could do it faster, but as a first timer it was annoying. I watched as many YouTube videos as I could beforehand. We did it for the extra storage, which I'm sure I'll like, now that it's done. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

This past weekend I got all the cabinets installed, laid out sample flooring, did some recon for the upcoming door install, and prepped for the counter install. Unfortunately, I just found out the counter top that was delivered was damaged, but Lowes is swapping out for a new piece this coming Sat. I've been in kind of a hurry because we had already ordered furniture for the place, and it's supposed to arrive by about Christmas. The idea was to have all the new flooring down in time for the furniture to show up but the flooring can't go down until the new entry door is installed. Sadly, the furniture store called me today and said everything is ready to deliver, so I'm out of time. The flooring was delivered to Home Depot on Monday and I'm going to try to put down portions of it this weekend. P.S. fuck frameless lazy susans. Never again. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

Took a sample of the tiles to a lab and they trsted positive for aesbestos and were on the threshold for needing to be removed/desposed of by a proper remediation company. Since it's a bit of a drive and time is short I paid a company to remove all the tiles and decided to do the other bedroom as well. I went up on a Sat, painted all the ceilings, crammed all the stuff in the place into the bedroom with the bunk bed and left them a key. They removed the tile on Tues and I was back on Friday night to continue work and have the new cabinets delivered. For the most part, the slab is in good condition. There is one crack, and only a 3 ft section along that crack in not level. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
