  1. Which LSX cars are we talking about? This car has very little done and show me an almost full weight, drag wheels being the exception, LS1 F-body running 11.xx with intake, exhaust, and a tune. Notice I said almost full weight and not a gutted 3000 lb or lighter F-body.
  2. Guy at work brought in his MR. T doll from when he was a kid when we found this video about a year ago. One of the guys actually put it on a CD and every once in awhile it gets played very loudly in the lab. Who knew Mr. T was such a great dancer;)?
  3. When I bought my cobra I just put my the plates from my 93 on it and I was told by someone at the BMV that they were then my 30-day tags. I then took care of all of the fees and the same plates are still on my car.
  4. Nice work. That's an impressive ET for the mods and the tires for sure.
  5. I have a Bassani stainless steel catback from my 03 Cobra for sale. This is for the IRS cars. Sounds and looks great. Only reason for sale is that I got rid of the huge hunk of parts known as the IRS. Looking to get $500 out of it. This catback lists for $750+ and being stainless it still looks very good. http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx296/DKilbourne_2010/IMG_1041_1.jpg http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx296/DKilbourne_2010/IMG_1040_1.jpg
  6. That's funny. I work on the other side in the tech center and I didn't even know a car went up last week. It must have been right after I left, but I heard it didn't go well for a few cars.
  7. The car does look nice, but you are correct. His claim is as bad as the idiots from the rice and ridiculous saying that they were riding in 10 sec cars.
  8. He meant 10 second 1/8th mile car. Get off his back already
  9. Just tell me that you still plan on getting an 05-up.
  10. Mine wasn't slipping when I upgraded the transmission, but I had to get a new one with the 26 spline input. When I took it out, it was worn down to the rivets, or whatever those are, and needed replaced then anyway. Would have killed the flywheel if I hadn't gotten in there when I did. Of course, I had 55,xxx or so miles on it when it came out, so that wasn't too bad.
  11. That was the best part. I had it built and back in my garage in the same day. Guys did a great job and the thing shifts so much smoother too. I'm not too easy on it either. Definitely holds up to the punishment.
  12. I thought the f-body t-56 had a 26 spline shaft stock. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd assume if that was case that it would just be a stronger 26 spline shaft.

I didn't realize that you changed the gear after that last year.
  14. Sounds like a dyno party day in October is in order. Congrats. You know where I stand on everything. Keep up the good work.
  15. I don't blame him. Having a car sit for a long period of time sucks. I did that when I was in school and learned my lesson.

That's strange....One of the better running F-bodies around was running a gear. I wonder if that may have been part of the equation? I've always thought the cammed f-bodies would love some gearing, since they like to rev higher with the cams that everyone seems to run. Just thought of another example of a good runner. Steve has a 4.10 in his Z and it runs better than most with the mods that he has. Not sure it will be ideal with his new turbo setup, but it definitely helped the N/A setup.
  17. Damn. I guess I may have gotten a good deal then. Did that $1800 include shipping both ways? That might have been the difference.

Sounds good. Now it's time for a gear. I think 3.90's do well in those.
  19. RPM in Indiana did a great job with my T56 and many others on here. Can't say that I know what they would charge for an f-body T56, but I got a decent deal on mine being built.
  20. He could always get a loan from dad
  21. I picked up a rear end complete with brakes that is from an 02 GT. It has the stock internals, which include a 3.27 gear and 28-spline axles. It also has stock lower control arms. It is for an ABS car as well. I'm looking to get around $500 out of it. I can email pics to those interested. I'm just going to trade my IRS with another guy for his solid axle setup and don't need this one anymore.
  22. Hmmmm......I'll need a catback with the solid I'll be getting.
  23. I've seen the car before. It's an older white guy that drives it. I'll assume that was the same one, since it's usually around there that I see him.
