That's funny. Most of the guys that I have met from here would laugh at the bashful comment. I just don't care about everyone's opinions on the matters .
-
I'm just going to quote this one to save time and effort. Basically the other guy was being a dick to start and you reciprocated, correct? This doesn't really make him more of a dick than you, just that he was the one that initiated it. Do you really think that he would be "a decent human being" after your initial exchange with him? I believe you were trying to "outrun" him from your initial statement. That in itself is funny. He didn't want to compare penis size, he just wanted past you. One last thing, people swerve into lanes without signals all day long here too. I get to see these morons in action everyday on 270. I can't believe that there aren't more accidents based on what I see. Either way, you were upset over the guy not wanting to let you back over and he most likely learned nothing from this other than what cleaner to use to get the pop off of his dash . By the way, people piss me off on the road almost daily. I just don't post about it on here for this reason .

There's a video of a GTO losing it there too. Looks like stupid drivers are in all makes.
-
So, when the other guy "pisses you off" you can cut him off and then slam the brakes? Hmm...sounds like you are over thinking and both the OP and the other driver were being stupid. I guess it's too hard to see that.
-
There are plenty of "real" beers that will do this as well Ever drink a belgian ale that has the leftovers at the bottom of the bottle? That will get things moving the next day too. I do agree with the statement as far as drinking real beer and not that watered down pussy beer.
-
Alright, I've read enough. The guy was obviously in a "hurry" and riding your ass. That is stupid when there isn't anywhere you can really go in traffic. However, just because your signal is on doesn't mean that he has to let you over or that you should get over on top of him. The whole "my wife is a lawyer" comment really makes you sound like a douche. Either way, this happens on the highways around town everyday and now I realize the mentality of the people who think "My signal is on so I am going to get over". Thanks for clearing that up The outcome was rather entertaining though.

All I have to say is that Kirk better be flying a huge OSU flag in front of his house in Wisconson right now! Brutus is going to anal rape Buckey the Badger prison style!

I have this http://www.jegs.com/i/K%26amp%3BN/599/62-1490/10002/-1 K&N breather filter for sale. I had it on the car for a month or so and changed my breather setup. I'll take $15 for it.

I never knew that there were rules for the 1/8th when runing 1/4. I remember all of the GN guys running 12.0s at 80-90mph when the rule was 11.99 or faster. One of my friends at who was at the track said that he saw your run and said that they had to have said something, because he never saw you come back. Sounds like you should have just made the glory pass that run!
-
I have to agree. There are plenty of older guys out there running 12s and 13s and still enjoying it that don't drive muscle cars. I guess HE doesn't like it, so it must be boring. I've found that most people who give up on drag racing are either not very good at it, or feel that they have mastered it. Those who feel they have mastered it are usually the ones who dump the clutch and granny shift the shit out of their stick cars, but what do I know? To me it's something that I have always liked. It's fun to try and out-do yourself and it's really fun to put some people in their place, especially the ones who say they run 10's but have never been to the track There is always room for improvement whether it's mechanically or sitting in the driver's seat. As far as why I don't do it every week, I have a young daughter that I like to spend time with.

Did some work for you. Here's the thread as posted by the GTR owner who previously owned a 9 second GT500 http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/road-kill-drive-thru-34/728970-gtr-vs-cobra-round-2-a.html Looks like everyone else is laughing too.

It does pull timing, but even then he is still making 650+. Kid shouldn't have jumped into a high horsepower car and expected everything to go well. I wonder what he drove before this?
-
They said something about 7.40 or faster in the 1/8th and they would kick people off. Of course that was after they stopped you. I think my 1/8th was 7.41. Time for a cage then
-
It helps to drive the crap out of them. Most of the "better running one's", i.e. mine and Cory's, are running well due to driving them hard. Cooling them down properly helps a lot as well. Once they hit a certain IAT they just pull timing and they won't perform like the dyno #'s say they should. The IRS in them is a pain in the ass as well. For my purposes with the car, I love the solid axle. If I would try and slip it out like I have been lately when I had the IRS, I would be pushing the car off of the track. Trust me, I had to do that once. Bottom line is that no matter what the car is, if the driver doesn't have the experience or ability to make that power matter, the car won't perform. If that car made 750 wheel it should have pulled that GTR hard. At 750 the car should go in the 140+ range and the GTR was going high 120s. That's a big difference.
-
Haha. I figured that you would get a kick out that one. For what it's worth, my car trapped 124.54 last night and weighs more than that car. I make 260 less to the tires too!
-
Getting closer Derek . Got an 11.43@124.54 last night on the shittos again. 60' was 1.76. Surprisingly, they didn't kick me off. They have been very strict with their rules and they didn't even look my way. Hmm.....
-
Just make sure to land on the roof of the house this time!!!
-
What a joke. Guy can't shift to save his life, but it should still trap higher than 124. Maybe he drives like all of the 600+ RWHP Cobra's that Linn used to beat all of the time
-
Do you think that you could explain it a little better for me? I'm just not getting it
-
I thought the idea was to get into a semi-reliable car that is fun? This seems like a trade to another high horsepower car that will definitely have issues of it's own at some point.
-
I'll let you know when I put it on real tires. It is a solid axle already Just working out some other bugs. I think it's finally right. My friends brother had his eaton Mach out on Thursday too. It went 11.58@121.75 with a 1.74 60' and being easy on it. Car only has 2,000 miles on it and he was being nice to it. We told him to beat on it, but he wouldn't powershift it I forgot one thing, what was your best ET on 555 R's ?
-
The dark grey one. Best of the night for me was an 11.59@122. I think I could have brought it out a little higher than I normally do, but I didn't get a chance to find out. I had a 1.82 60' on that pass. Not too bad for shittos, but I would still like to see better out of it. I had a few issues to figure out on the first two passes I made, so I wasn't too upset about that pass.
-
That was a good run. We figured that they would say something after that run. It didn't matter anyway, since the generator went down at the end of the night and they sent us home anyway. It's kind of funny that the eaton cobra's, atleast ours, are running better than most of the twin screw cars at the local tracks.
-
So was Tommy's. It made more than 465 with spray though. It was still fun to watch everyone run over after a pass at Kilkare and try and figure out what was done to it

New IRS Corvette Record 8.17@173MPH
DKilbourne replied to atomicfusion1647545515's topic in Passing Lane
That's a slight improvement from the 8.55 Tommy sent me a message right after it happened. That is moving. Congrats and see about that 7.9x pass.
