  1. It seems that common sense has given way to temptation.
  2. I forgot that Mr. Saleen had started another company.
  3. How about someone actually works out without taking all kinds of shit and gets there the natural way? I guess when you are a lazy fuck you take all the necessary shortcuts. I do understand that it still takes work and dedication while on something, but I'll pass. I'm happier knowing that I did what I did without the help of the pharmacy.
  4. Anyone need a set of stock 03 Cobra injectors? I'm upgrading and won't be needing them anymore. They are still on the car, but would only take another 5 minutes to get them off. I'm thinking around $115 for them, but I am always open to offers.
  5. This is why I hate people. Why fuck with someone's car? I don't care what the reason is. It's just something that I won't do.
  6. That is the latest story being reported on ESPN. I heard it yesterday too.
  7. Why steal them when they are for sale here http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75786 ?
  8. Can't do that, but your point is noted. Also, since when is 6'4" 215 scary?
  9. When I say bogging, I'm talking about at the starting line not between gears. I'm interested to see the responses here. I have a feeling that I already know what will be said, but maybe I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the 1st time.
  10. The trap isn't measured by tire speed, so if someone can actually explain the myth to me I'd be impressed. Now I'm not talking about a turn or two off of the line to keep the car from bogging, but flat out tire spin through atleast a gear leading to a higher trap speed.
  11. This doesn't really fall into the usual category of hooking harder and the trap speed going down. The guy couldn't go full throttle until somewhere in 2nd and that will most likely bring the trap speed down a little. The whole spinning equals higher trap speed thing makes me laugh. Here's an example, friend of mine ran on radials and went 12.20's @117 then put on some stickies and went 11.40's@121. If spinning picks up trap speed, then why was it opposite here? That's right, he actually got to use the first two gears and wasn't wasting them by spinning. He made multiple passes on radials and the results were always 2-4mph slower than when he would run good tires. The other side of the coin that "kind of" helps the other side of arguement is that when I would spin a little coming out I would get a better trap speed. This was because I was keeping the rpm's up and not bogging. If someone can actually provide a response that involves actual data and a solid reasoning as to why spinning improves trap speed, then I'm all ears. If spinning improves trap speed then that would lead someone to believe that spinning down most of the track would provide a higher trap speed? Please enlighten me.
  12. Yes they are. I don't know how many guys on SVT have thought that they killed their motors when the FRPS went bad during a spirited run. Best bet is to get the Kenne Bell FRPS disk and put it in. It helps to keep them working a little longer. I got mine for free, but that is because I had to send multiple emails about not being able to get them on the phone. You'd think that a place like Kenne Bell would have more phone lines.
  13. Seems like a lot of people who attempted the having a fast car thing, got discouraged when they realized that it wasn't as easy as it appeared. It definitely takes money and patience. Most of the people who get into to cars, want to have a fast car but don't realize that you have to put a lot of work and money into it. I've never gotten into bikes, but I'm sure that they are fun as well. Just not my thing. I don't think that I have a fast car either, but I've always had fun with them even when they were a giant pain in the ass and wallet.
  14. That is nice of them. When my 93 sat for 2 years on the street, or whatever it was, I never renewed the tags until someone noticed that they were expired. I lived on a court and either someone, most likely the neighbor trying to sell their house, mentioned that the tags were expired or some random cop actually had zero else to do. I'm going with the neighbor calling. I had to pay a $15-20 fine since the vehicle wasn't moving at the time. I renewed the tags and never had to pay for the time in between or prove that it wasn't moving. I guess that has changed. I'll still pay for my tags every year, since my birthday is in June and you never know when you might need another vehicle to drive.
  15. I'll assume that he doesn't drive or park the car on the street while the tags are expired. I thought that part of the fee was to pay for the use of the road and the maintainence of the road. If you aren't using it with that particular vehicle, then why would you think that he would need to pay for it? Just a thought.
  16. Do you want to separate the shifter?
  17. Yes, I think it's called syncromax and is something like 13.99/quart. Penzoil also makes a version of the fluid and it's either 5.99 or 6.99/quart. Don't know enough about the actual fluids to give an educated response on which one is better and why, but the place that built my T-56 swore by the Royal Purple stuff.
  18. Have you seen the #'s of the receivers that Revis has covered this year? There is a reason that he is in the Pro Bowl. By the way, I'm not a Bengals fan either.
  19. This is all very true. I'm thinking that when people change lanes and they feel a little snow buildup, that they just feel safer not changing lanes again. This is the fun part. They won't change lanes because they are scared, but they will hold up traffic and speed up when someone tries to get around them. I guess our rants only do good for us to let the frustration out, because it only seems to get worse with every flake of snow. Maybe there should be a required winter/snow drivers ed course.
  20. Why would anyone do that? That would make too much fucking sense. I was "flying" past people on 270 yesterday afternoon in the left lane going 40-45mph. Keep in mind that most of these scared pussies were driving 4wd vehicles and are too scared to drive faster than 20mph when there is a flake in the air. Fuck Columbus drivers in the snow. That being said people need to find the happy medium when it comes to driving in the snow. Not this holy shit the snow has come to kill us, but more like look at the snow I guess I'll have to actually get off of the fucking cell phone and pay attention to what is going on. I can't tell you how many of these SUV driving morons were on their damn phones yesterday. Pay attention to the road and maybe then you can speed up a little bit. Carry on.
  21. Are these actual Ford parts or reproduction pieces?
  22. Sounds like you may have a slight problem with freezing of the fluid somewhere in the line. Once the underhood heat gets to the line it thaws and there you go. I know that in a large quantity and storage space, that the fluid shouldn't freeze in these temps. I'll assume that in the line you have a space where the concentration of water is higher and it freezes in the lines somewhere. This happened to me on Sunday and when I hit the gas station almost all of the people were trying to get their windshield washer squirters to work as well. That is my best guess at this point.
  23. This. Also, if the deal seems to good to be true it usually is too good to be true. If the guy won't meet you in ATL, then tell him good luck with the sale. He seems to be rather hesitant on responding to you and getting you the info that you want, so find another car and move on.
