You don't have to o-ring the block. The Trick Flow gasket kit from Summit is the cheapest way to go. That gasket kit also uses the Fel-Pro Loc-wire head gaskets, but includes everything else that you will need as well.

This has been killing me this week. I drive in at 6:30AM and they idiots are already out. I'm trying to figure out where they came from. The funny part of this is that you called the guy and told him that you had a higher offer and then got mad that he didn't want the item after that. I'm sure that he assumed that you were trying to screw him out of more money and that was why he gave the response he did. I would do the same thing. As far as the part about you selling it to someone else, I'm up in the air on that one. You had someone pay you more money and you took it, but you also had some kind of agreement with the other guy. That is where it gets to be in the grey area. Yes it's a little crappy that you sold it to someone else after the agreement, but there aren't any guarantees laid out. Yes, what you did could be considered a little shady but it's not the end of the world. I personally don't know what I would do, but most likely I would take the money from whoever had it. I've had too many problems with people who say that they are going to come get something or pay for something later and then don't.

I wasn't talking too much crap, but I just get tired of people whining on the internet when they could have done something in "real-life" to avoid the issue. Timing did screw him, but crying on the web doesn't help anything either.

So, your saying that someone hits you and if you are under 25 that you don't get a rental? Since when? I know some companies won't give a rental to someone under 25 that wasn't in an accident. I've never heard of anyone of any legal driving age having an issue getting a rental after their car was hit by someone else. Like I said before, if he would have pushed the issue he would have gotten something done. Sucks that he is in the situation in the first place, but the insurance company he is dealing with will screw him around until they cut him a check for his car so they won't have to pay any money on a rental. Just an example of him being taken advantage of by the insurance company.

That would do it too. I heard that the A/F with the Predator was a little lean too and that when it was "programmed" to add more fuel, that it didn't do anything at all. The handheld has limits unless you can do a custom tune through it.

I guess you just need to man up and tell them that they need to quit screwing you. I've never had or seen a limit like that on rental coverage before. When I had my old car in the body shop I had a rental that was more than that as well. This was before I was 25 as well. Good luck.

I still don't understand why you haven't gotten a rental. When my wife's car was totalled we went to the rental place and explained what was going on. They used our credit card just to put a hold on it, not take any money. This was just to cover their end. The other insurance company then payed the bill. This is common practice. If you want to have a car to drive that's all you have to do. Quit bitching about it and just go get one. The other company has to pay for your rental. It's their customers fault that you don't have anything to drive, so they are obligated to take care of that. Just realize that once they cut you a check for your car, they won't pay much longer on a rental. They expect you to get a car very quickly.

Please, please, get a SCT mulit-bank chip from Brian and have him tune your car. Handheld with limited capabilities just don't hit all of the necessary functions that a custom tune does. Your previous "issue" with melting the plug may have been due to a less than desirable tune from that hand held. Just saying.

It's rather amazing isn't it? Our girl was born the day before Thanksgiving and I would have thought that missing out on Thanksgiving dinner would have bothered me, but I didn't care at all. I was definitely ready to get home after a couple days in the hospital. Like everyone else said, congrats and hopefully you didn't like sleep anyways .

The mirrors usually hit $200 within 2 days on ebay. I haven't seen a pair go for less than $350 on ebay. The other parts will sell for that money. They do all of the time on the sites mentioned above.
