  1. Blah fuck google, I ain't found much yet. I'll probably get down there again and talk to the people at the store down the road and see if I can find an owner. I'd like to shoot it properly and bring lights if I have to. I see a lot of old buildings around the country side, but this one has so much character. Bad part is I can't get a clear shot of it due to power pole/lines in the way.
  2. Wife and I have been driving past this old church for the last year and I finally took a pic of it the other day and have been playing with it in photoshop. I had way to much sun so I had to reconstruct the right side of it from the shadows and I'm no expert. Its near Frazeysburg on SR 586. Anyone know anything about it? http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/ChurchRuinsBW.jpg The light was perfect when I started my drive down to take the pic, but when I got there most of the clouds had left so I got harsh shadows. I'll get a really nice one someday, but at least I've learned a few new tools in PS.
  3. One problem you'll run into with modular and mobile is that a lot of locations in the area have restrictions against them. We ran into that 2 years ago when we were gonna get land and build. We ended up using Wayne homes because in the end they were cheaper than modular home builders were charging and no restrictions on a stick built home other than minimum size and roof pitch restrictions hehe. I'm up in Morrow County and I guess they don't want to add to the already high number of total shit hole houses up here.
  4. I'm all for leaving the snow on. People will learn and adapt to driving on it or they will stay home. When I wake up and see a bunch of snow I see it as a ready made adventure filled day just waiting for me.
  5. Not sure what sizes, but yeah dollar stores and other places of that type are where my wife gets them when she needs more.
  6. I don't mind the cold if the skies are clear, but I hate when its cloudy. No stars to keep me warm:-)
  7. You don't really have a criminal case. Or at least you don't have one your gonna get anyone to do anything about. In Ohio you have a very strong option to use the "Mechanics Lien Law." To dish out the justice the thief deserves. You'll simply go through the court to get him to pay or the court will give you the right to apply a lien on their property. You'll get your money eventually doing it that way.
  8. Nothing wrong with that. Hell I'm sure she'd shave it if you asked nicely.
  9. Another vote for Senior Antonios. The wife and I are there at least once per week for the last 7 years.
  10. Maybe you should get some ideas from the Eve Online forum. I play that game and they allow account/money selling so most people have multiple account that they buy/sell.
  11. Lol He seemed like that wasn't the first time he stood in that spot. Car hits heavy wall, guy snaps a shot and then runs over to see how the drivers doing.
  12. My company just released its sales data last night at our christmass party and we are still at 4% growth total. Now that is down from around 10% the previous year, but at least we are still expanding.
  13. At this point I think I'll just live off welfare when I get old and slow down. Hell a large number of my family members have been doing it since they graduated HS.
  14. I see a pile of them in Mt Vernon walmart everytime I go there.
  15. Yeap been around almost 3 years now on the canon side;-)
  16. Yeah if your a canon guy and not wanting to pay for the prosumer models yet (40D, 50D, 5Dmk2) then XSi is awesome. Its basically a 40D camera minus the magnesium body and a few pro features. A great starter SLR camera. I don't know much about Nikons, but basically those two brands are the only ones I'd consider since they have the largest following and thus the largest amount of interchangeable lenses and accessories to utilized as your interest grows.
  17. I've been looking into this one. http://www.ixwebhosting.com/index.php/v2/pages.dspmain?PID=1560015 Anyone know if its as good as it looks? I guess they are also based in columbus.
  18. Cool win. My wifes the lucky one so I just stay clear of anything luck related:-)
  19. I processed that image out to be a nice 16x20. The RAW unprocessed file had it at around 40x36 and if I wanted to I could perform a debayer-drizzle algorithm to boost that to probably 140x120. I might need to buy a new computer for it to finish those calculations before the end of the year though:-) I only use that process on tiny objects that can easily be cropped out before processing begins to speed things up.
  20. Yeap from my backyard in the freezing cold, but it pays off when I get a nice image. You could get a setup to do that for $3000-4000 which would be the scope, camera and other random wires and stuff. You can get good images with cheap stuff really, but like anything else the more money you put into the gear the less time you have to spend processing it. Even the money I have in my stuff is nothing compared to what some people will spend (just like any hobby though.)
  21. I think I nailed this nebula the other night. I used a couple different exposures to create an HDR image of it. This ones going on my wall as soon as I get the print back from cord. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/M4211-18-08.jpg
  22. The pic from inside the car looks like a dude for sure. Still funny though.
  23. I agree. Basically if they fail Michigan will fall off the map and people will just move into other industries in time. Won't see any real impact here or in 99% of the country no matter what the doomsday guys are thinking up. Besides toyota and honda will just have to fill the vacuum with more US factories.
