I say we vote out both parties and start over. Evan

Blahahahahah you guys who "lose signal" must have had one of those mexican satellite installers set you up. Its all about dish pointing, if its not right then yeah a little puffy cloud could throw your signal down a bit. The satellite coordinates come in the set up instructions. First and most important LEVEL THE DISH MOUNT. If its not level you will spend hours even finding the satellites. If you really wanna set it up right get a really good installer to come out with the special dish pointing tool that they use to fine tune it. Mine only goes out when its so bad outside that everything should be turned off anyway. I've had TW, dishnetwork, and now have directv and I'll never use the others. They are completely crap and cost way to much for their crap. Oh and don't buy a contract. I always buy the gear up front at best buy or where ever and just pay the sub monthly. You get it at a much cheaper rate and who cares in 2-3 years if your equipment is old. you saved 2-3 times the cost of the new equipment and can go buy yourself and upgrade whenever you want. Evan

I agree it depends on what your doing. I was just letting him know that ME/EE ain't necessary for 99% of the diag type jobs out there. As I said I work with people with both ME/EE and have worked with them in all sorts of diag jobs and all of them say the same thing, "sure wish I would have just looked into this type of job instead of going to college." Especially the younger ones that still have the loan to pay off. Hehe I didn't even finish the 5th grade and my company knows this so what do I know:-) Evan

Engineering degrees are more for design, and fixing problems on paper. If you mean you like to diagnose equipment problems engineers don't really do much of that. Service techs and field service techs do the grunt work if thats what your wanting. Myself, I fix office equipment ie; copiers, faxes, printers, (try to stay out of network stuff, but end up doing it anyway from time to time.) Its way better work than wiring buildings (i've done that too.) About any diag type job leads into any other similar job. I work with guys who worked on airplanes, gas station pumps, cars... Evan

That will work great. Might even get a few squirrels/coons while your at it. Cut the tails off for me if you do it:-) Evan

Its probably all the SUV's and larger trucks that I see going to the crusher. Its very hard to find a truck for sale under $1k now and its even harder to get something nice like a 1 ton axle set. Other than that the market probably just corrected from all the rednecks hauling their old cars/trucks to the crusher to get beer money. Evan

Myself I hate serious sports and think that 5 is a little young to care anyway. Might be better to just let them have fun and if they want to keep playing later in life they can. Besides don't we get enough asshole's killing each other over their kids sports, cheer leading, what ever anyway? From my own experience as a kid I would have prefered we just play for fun. I gave up in t-ball because I had a dad that was concerned that I be the best, win, and kill the other guy. Not trying to rag on dad here, later he did learn that he had to let me do what I want and help encourage me with my hobbies. Just giving another viewpoint. Evan

I'm not sure the issues even matter. I just vote for the guy with the "R" next to their name because the guys with the "D"s are out to get my wallet and give it to some POS that won't help their self. Its my view that these types of people should simply be left to beg on the streets and/or starve, but I'm just an asshole who'd work from the ground up if I had to do it again. Evan

slate.com is a very anti republican web site and should not be quoted as a reliable source of information. Please use wiki:-) Evan

Hehe maybe it was one of those 30yr interest only loans that MI was selling:-) Oh btw wife says she got an email today at work (she's a 5/3 manager) and prime is going down 1/2%. I wasn't in my car much today so didn't get to hear anything myself. They were giving notice to the branches to expect a lot of refi's. Evan

I just want term limits for house/senate on all levels, accountability for them not getting issues moved to vote, and most of all I want them to represent us instead of lobbyist. I'm pretty sure this is too much to ask though. Evan

Something about his name says Muslim to me and the fact that he was raised muslim. I do know people can change, but in his case I doubt it was for the better. Besides the church he went to for 20 yrs ain't exactly a typical "christian" church. Evan

Funny, I saw nothing wrong with that:-) Evan

Did you even listen to the video? Nothing out of context. He clearly says she "might have been a better pick than me" right at the end. His tone even suggests he believes it. I wonder if he's playing or if maybe he's not to confident? Evan

I'm thinking she wants a position (ie Supreme court.) So she probably is helping. Evan

I go to cord a lot, but their expensive and to be honest they aren't that great. I'm still waiting to be happy with anything done there. I only keep going back because they can do large file sizes and if you are getting really technical you can get the color profile of their equipment. On the other hand if you can get in Costco they are very cheap and have very good quality prints especially for the price. Evan

Okay so he's going around completely lying or is wiki not exactly correct since it can be edited and does get edited by anyone even people who'd edit wrong? He gets on talk radio several times a year and tells the story. Could be just selling books though:-) Evan

Of course, dressing her in tight biz-formal shit and parading her around isn't disrespectful in the least. Not the way I see it, but I do appreciate nicely dressed women:-)

Oh and for the triple post since I rarely do those. The director of the human genome(sp?) project actually thought himself out of a job on this type of subject. He ended up looking far enough into it that he switched to Christianity from atheism and has wrote at least a book about it. He talks on WOSU 820 sometimes on Fred's show. Pretty interesting how he used scientific method to come to his conclusions. Evan

Also the big bang ain't necessarily the beginning anyway. Its been theorized that the universe could expand/contract over and over and that we are just living in one of the cycles. Next question, where did that start and why? I'm not sure we will even be able to answer that type of question since no science we can even imagine can study a place outside of the universe and no device or theory could even be created really that would work on something that we can't even understand due to only being able to operate in this universe under its laws. So I think we're stuck or will get stuck at some point. Evan

The big question I have is the uni is 13billion yrs old and we can see galaxies 23billion lightyears away fully formed. Science knows it takes quite a long time for a star to form and quite a long time for a galaxy to form for sure so how is it possible that we are seeing complete ones, when we should be seeing not much of anything. Maybe just the swirling mass around the blackhole stretched out pretty wide and working to form a galaxy. Some woman scientists accidentally discovered this problem, I watched a show on science channel about it several years ago, but I've never gotten any more info about it. Evan

Exactly they better make sure there ain't no matter or energy anywhere near that thing when a singularity forums or it will suck up it up, grow, suck up some more, grow... boom we're dead. Evan

I agree with you here too, but she's still a MILF with the librarian look. I like her as a conservative, but I hate her as a "christian." I'd much prefer any religious views stay clear of government and that logic should rule, but libs have their own agenda (could be considered religion) and I like it a lot less. Evan

If you think "McCain = Bush", your a complete and total douche

QFT. Also Huckabe(sp? hate him too) worked with McCain by staying in until Romney was clearly out. I can't stand McCain and he does side with the republicans 90% of the time. that part is correct, but what you aren't realizing is that the other 10% of the time the vote was on an important issue and he sided with the dems against his party. I guess he could get the title maverick from that, but the way I see it he's a POS that does what he needs to do to stay in office. Oh wait thats all politicians so nvm. Evan
