I know, I have lots of women that drive 4x4's in my offroad club. Some even bring there "pretty boy" boyfriends to the rides and get mud on them. Its always funny to watch. She can do what she wants. The one thing I hate is parents pressing their kids into stuff. Evan

I've been using photobucket for quick things, but my astrophotography pics are at the minimum 25-30MB's. Any ideas because resizing/compressing loses so much detail. Evan

I noticed how fast time moves with my nieces and nephews. Its just sick. The oldest is in 7th grade. Evan

Oh I love that shot. I'd imagine they have more than one, but they look the same to me. Evan

Bunch of whiners. Don't park in the garages down town if you don't like squeezing in/out of your cars. I gotta do it all day long and I just drive a beater. Makes life in the lots simpler. Evan

Yeap first one. Wife was sorta bummed though. She was hoping she'd have a boy first and she didn't even consider she might have a girl. Her family has 28 girls to 2 boys as grand children so she was fighting up hill odds. Evan

Yeap, wife and I got back from the doctor yesturday and we'll be having a girl sometime in June. Now I just gotta start saving for the wedding:-( Evan

Anyone else see this big guy at the zoo last summer? I can't wait to go back and take more shots. This guy is what makes going to see a bunch of animals well worth it. Oh and BTW No I can't fight him hand to hand:-) http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/Picture027.jpg Also is there something other than photobucket I could use. I don't like how they compress the images. They lose way to much detail. Evan

Spirals out of control? I think it did that when he busted her window. Evan

Airplane on a Conveyor Belt - Mythbusters Tonight!
Tractor replied to LPFSTheFett's topic in Dumpster
Umm... Should I even respond to that? I think he's beyond help on this matter. Ok go get a treadmill and walk on it. You don't move right? Cool, now get a toy car or something and push it on the treadmill. Now turn on threadmill and push it again. No difference the wheels don't connect mechanically to the treadmill and you can push the toy car off the threadmill. We relate your arm pushing the toy car to the prop pushing against air. These two things are unrelated to what the treadmill does. No mechanical link = no possible effect on each other. Someone draw the picture quick:-) Evan -

Someone draw a picture of an airliner with 30,000 foot long wheel supports because I still get the feeling some people think planes get power from wheels and the prop blows air over the wings. Evan -

don't matter if the planes take off speed is 25 mph and the treadmill is running 1,000 mph backwards the plane will still take off. The treadmill has NOTHING to do with the plane moving forward and cannot prevent the plane from moving forward. The reason for this is the invisible force of the prop against the air around it. The faster the plane is moving backwards at the time the prop begins turning the more pressure (read that force) the prop will have to "dig in" to the air and start negating the backwards movement of the treadmill. I understand how some people wouldn't get this and won't call anyone stupid over it. Some people just understand other things better than others. Physics of flight are something I happen to understand enough to get it. BTW I don't watch that show. I can't stand the format of all these new TV shows. I liked the old dry way of learning on TV. Not really gonna ever get around to it, but I just like browsing. I've always been way to deep into MS Flightsim and have flown fixed wing a few times with an instructor. I've rode in an old national guard Huey(sp?) Was nice and loud:-) I just like adding things to my lists of certifications from time to time. Years ago when I had more time I studied all the stuff from ground school to instrument rated. Home schooled from the time I was 10 so I had way to much time on my hands. Evan

Yeah noticed that. Seems like that specific site could be a scam, but found a reputable training facility listed in Indiana, Freedom Helicopters. Evan

Been seeing commercials for Silver State Helicopters http://www.silverstatehelicopters.com Is this type of training for real? I read the site a bit and looks like (in simple explanation) you do their training course, become a trainer for their course, and while teaching you gain the necessary flight time to get hired by some company. Anyone know anyone that has actually been successful in a course like this? Also guess the same question can be asked about http://www.beapilot.com Evan

I looked at the info on scottrade. It looks like a company in failure. Of course if you happen to know that someone is buying it or possibly buying it you could be ahead of the game. Its a very cheap stock and playing "darts" with $100 isn't a bad idea if you can afford it. As an FYI Budweiser is down below $50 per share again. Lots of people expect it to soar past $60 per share and stay there for awhile once its bought by some other company in the next couple months. I picked up a couple hundred shares. At a loss at the moment, but good ole BUD don't fail to often. I'll probably sell in a few months or if I feel like it maybe I'll just take some quick gains and get back in on more bad market news:-) Evan

Your the 2nd person I've heard of in the last weeks that has had ID theft that has been located to NY. Other person was having pizzas ordered with their ID. They were even opening other accounts and ordering pizza on those too. Evan

I have no clue which is better, but I loaded up on Sirius stock a few months ago with some extra cash I had. Been following the companies since the 90's and kinda new in the back of my head that sirius be the better company for some reason. On that note if they do merge (which I believe they will) it will still be at least 6 months to a year before they are conjoined fully. So you might want to buy a unit anyway. Espeically a used one and just enjoy it for now. Evan

I stand behind Dr Rick 100% on this issue. I'm sure you will too in a few years once you start realizing how much money is being taken from your glass factory to pay people that don't even work for you. Seems like some of you don't understand personal responsibility. I don't care what situation some one is in or how bad their luck has been the government is not the entity that should be supporting them. The "NEW DEAL" era should be long gone, but to many people have grown up living under it that its become a social class. Very hard to take away from the people who have "learned" to depend on it. Evan

IMHO not worth the trouble. Just pay the fine. Who cares its a no points violation anyway. Hehe I usually just park get out and wave at the officers without paying the meter. Company pays for it anyway. Its cheaper than wasting company time looking for a parking spot. Especially in the $5-10 dollar towns:-) Evan
-
Dr Rick speaks the truth. I feel the same way. Not to get off topic, but my wifes doctor told her it would take up to 15 months to get pregnant after quiting birth control and it took 15 months. I can't see how something that powerful can be 99.99% effective except so that they are legally covered for the 0.01% of the time that some dumb bitch is negligent. I suppose drugs or alcohol could lessen its effectiveness, but that would also point to dumb decisions on the part of the dumb bitch. Sounds like we are paying for other peoples laziness/stupidity. Evan

Yeah etrade is a good one. I use scottrade and there are a few free ones like zecco. I think you might be paying more like $20 per trade for a penny stock though. The $7 dollar trades that scottrade and others do are for stocks on the normal indexes that they can easily buy from someone else down on the floor. Also a few cents won't matter because you won't be locked in at that price anyway. Especially in a penny stock. Unless the broker currently holds enough shares the transaction will take a few minutes up to a few days depending on how soon they can find a seller. I agree though if the company looks good you could be sitting on $20 or $50 share price in a few years. Its not unheard of just high risk unless its a company your comfortable with. From an investment broker like scottrade you can read all the companies SEC filings. Everything from tax reports to human resources events get filed with the SEC. Evan

Well at 10 cents a share you should probably throw $100 down on it and see. Worst thing that could happen is you lose $100. If you think their business will work and there is a market for it then someone will buy them. If the idea is dumb then you can just place your bets and see what happens. Most brokers you try to place the stock order with may require you to have a "Margin" account with them. This is basically a credit line from them to you. They see "penny" stocks as high risk. Its also possible they would require a larger sum of money on account with them. I know you wouldn't be a risk to them in this stock, but rules are rules. Evan

Yeah probably easy once you do them a few times. I'm just pointing out that its not as easy as swapping the bearings and driving away. Setting the gears requires precise alignment that takes a few trys to get right so a shops gotta charge for some of that. Now I suppose it would be pretty easy if only the bearings were damaged, but when the tolerances in the thousandths of inchs I'd be checking those gears very carefully for bad wear. Especially since he's driven the poor thing with it locking up. In the 4x4 world we find the #1 reason for diff failure is due to improper set up of the gears so we tend to be very cautious when doing gear swaps. Evan

Its gonna be a lot of money to have about any shop do the job. Its kinda labor intensive and requires skill and some tools to do properly. I've done them, but I still haven't had the experience to try one on someone elses vehicle. Getting the gears set up properly is key to making sure it will last. I'd suggest finding the best warranty you can get since its an expensive job and there is a lot of room for error on the installers part. Evan
