I thought you might, but I figured you would rather play with your truck sooner than after trying to piece together stuff to put in a clutch pedel and crap. I'll probably put my NP 205 on the 203 as a doubler at some point anyway just for the shits and grins. I wanna do the auto because while I was laying under it last weekend I decided that it would be a major pain in the ass to have to remove the sm465 and 205 from the truck and do a throwout bearing in 3 to 6 months anyway and this way I've eliminated all problems except cooling lines which are only a problem if they break. Truck will probably take a little drive across the farm by this monday. Evan

Thanks guys I found a newly rebuild turbo 350 and 203 transfer case on ebay. I'm picking it up friday. BTW Its going into my trail truck so none of those drag racing trannys for me.
-
lol I guess I should have said cheap. I was thinking more of some rebuild shop that stocks them that I could do some dealing/trading with. I got several other transmissions 1 of which is worth a bit more than the turbo transmission that I want. Evan
-
Anyone know of any transmission shops around that stock GM Turbo 350 or 400's? I need one for a 4x4 truck. I also need a transfer case. Evan

Or you can sit in it while I haul it down the highway. yeah I know I"m an ass. BTW you get that thing running yet? Evan -
If you need help I"m almost always around. I have a car hauler and truck. Evan

I've worked in a few auto plants as an outside contractor and can easily see the problems unions cause. Its no wonder the imports were able to build a better product. They don't have the high cost of unions to work with. Unions can be a good thing, but I think they've outlived there usefulness in the US. Evan

Well if your problem is the car runs really rough and you've already replaced the plugs a few days/weeks ago and your burning oil and fouling the new plugs then yes your rings or valve seals would probably be worn out. having the valve job done is a few hundred bucks at a machine shop. The rings would require the engine to be torn down and quite alot of time would go into it. Unless you really like the car or could do most of the work yourself it wouldn't be worth it. You could do alot of the work yourself and just take the engine block in to be rebuilt and save a good deal of money. At least when your done you'd have learned alot and I"m sure some guys on here would be willing to help. Evan

She can ride in my truck, but she better not bitch. -
Wow. that would be awesome. I think its pretty funny when I"m on the highway early in the moring and you get to see the fresh meat the semi's hit. Sometimes they splatter those deer for 200 feet. I've never got to see one actually get hit though. Evan
-
Thats just funny for some reason. Evan

I can assure you its not such a stupid thing to say. I know how things work and if there are budget problems instead of governments/companies just working things out they put all the pressure on the little guys ie cops and/or sales whatever to work harder to get more revenue. Its just a really sad way to do things, but its life. Evan

lol I can't imagine them giving much of a fight. there little skulls aren't fully developed yet. You could quite easily do serious damage just popping them in the head. besides that anything you do to a 5 year old makes them hurt really badly. but who gives a fuck? Evan
-
Your all forgetting something very important. Fairfield county is going through very difficult budget problems. I have been hearing on the radio that they are laying off 20 or 30 more officers. He was just earning money for the city. He may have never wrote a ticket for it under normal conditions, but sounds like your just screwed. Evan

Just thought I'd throw something in. How much attention do the schools give to diagnosing todays engines? I mean any dumbshit mechanic can change a water pump, but how many can take a problem that would take that same mechanic days of swapping parts to fix and narrow it down to real troubleshooting. This is a problem I've seen in my industry as well and it all comes down to good troubleshooting practises. What about that really stupid wiring harness that broke somewhere alone the path. Can the modern mechanic use troubleshooting to find that problem without say replacing the coils, fuel injectors, computer, fuel pump. You know what I mean. Just curious because modern automobiles are not the simple fuel air and fire machines of 50 years ago and they will only get more advanced with time. Evan

Dont go cruising without this list! IT will save you!

I've heard that it isn't actually legal to be listening to police freqs in your car. I could be wrong since I only heard this. Not even from a good source. Evan -
sorry dude its your car you were driving and if you try to go that route your insurance policy is likely to not cover anything because you aren't paying for that type of coverage. Most insurance companies have insurance that covers your car driving to and from work each day and driving around for your own enjoyment/whatever, but you would have to be on a different plan if you are using that vehicle to do company business. I know a little about it since I drive my own car 700miles a week for work. You don't want to mention you where driving for work in your car. I'd pay the deductable and forget about it. besides sam's club is likely to not agree with your logic anyway. Thats why they didn't provide you with a car to drive. Its cheaper for them if you get in an accident Evan
-
Honestly if your trailer only weighs 1000lbs I wouldn't put a car on it unless its a Featherlite car hauler or similar made of all aluminum. In that case thats a nice trailer. Definately do not use one of those 7000lbs capacity utility trailers. they just aren't designed to haul a car. maybe once or twice, but eventually you'll be sorry. Evan
-
what your towing will always be more than the vehicle doing to the towing unless your planning on getting a dually with a loaded utility bed. I have a 2100 pound flat bed carhauler and any car you put on it puts the weight above my 3800lb GMC truck. If your cherokee is rated for towing 5K then your fine. Ohio and most state law requires any trailer over 2K to have brakes on it. If you going to tow just a few times a year then nothing much is needed except trailer brakes. If you towing long distance or once a month or more it would be a good idea to add an inline transmission cooler. A vehicle with a true towing package will probably come with a real cooler, an oil cooler and most likely a transmission control that will allow the computer to shift stiffer and at intervals better suited for hauling alot of weight. I wouldn't mostly because its a jeep and secondly anyone who had it wouldn't take it out with me. Evan

Tractor replied to CJINOHIO03's topic in Dumpster
sounds like you work in IT. thats a tough field in columbus right now. If I were you I'd just get a lower skill lower pay job for now and wait it out. your more attractive if you have a job anyway. Evan -
yeah I've had the best luck with either a die hard that I never changed in my vehicles or a RV/STARTING/DEEP CYCLE sam's club el'cheap'o Evan

I'm guessing the pump is in the gas tank and that the bolts on the gas tank are bad. if so you may have to replace the gas tank. Evan
