  1. Those are some good frenchy jokes. Evan
  2. I got mine for $69 at walmart. Its worked good for over a year. Evan
  3. Mr. 2's pretty much right. I think you'll need to make sure your of the type of input of your amp. If its RCA's like move good amps then you'll need to get a 150,000 ohm adapter to convert line level to RCA's. If its got connectors for line level inputs (ie little screws to hold the input wires on in a block) then you can run it directly off the rear speaker wires without the adapter. Evan
  4. No its rated for 80W-90. A toyota dealer may use a brand that they get the least complaints about, but any 80w-90 gear oil would work and wouldn't damage the transmission. You just might experience sticking or otherwise less then smooth shifting. Evan
  5. I have a 500CCA unit that I use for powering my telescopes computer drive. I also use it for jump starting cars. it works really good. I don't have a coleman unit. Mine is a walmart one. Evan
  6. I agree with the previous guys about helping through encouraging interests. That is the only true way of learning. All the other stuff might work, but will only work in that he does what he must do to either get to do fun things or not feel pain. He won't really learn. In learning there is math, reading, spelling, history, sciences. How far you take a child in each area depends on the childs interest in the subject. I wouldn't be afraid of a medical doctor that can't fix a car or fly a plane, or even just do algebra. I'm a field service tech for an IT company so I don't expect to know how to be a medical doctor or engineer, but they call me when there office shit breaks. I don't need great grammar, spelling, advanced math, or things of that type in my job, but I do need basic communication skills, advanced mechanics, electronics, and physics. Evan
  7. My wife just got a bissle for $250. It's awesome. It has a nice plastic container that all the shit goes into and you dump it out. Its clear so you can see it picking stuff up and it cleans way better than our old cheaper one. I used our cheap one and then she brings this thing home right after I finish so I'm like WTF, but I used it anyway and it almost filled its contain after doing only 1 room and a hall way. Evan
  8. Yeah I started my I don't give a shit stuff before 1st grade and no punishment ever worked in the least. I wouldn't even except the bribes. I felt I was compremising my intregty. Pretty cool for a very young kid ain't it. yeah my spelling still sucks. Evan
  9. I may be a rare case, but I was like that. I didn't care what anyone did. I didn't want to be in school, didn't care about school, and just wanted to do things my way. By the time I was in 5th grade I had had teachers and my parents try bribes of money, candy, stickers. I had punishments of loss of activities and beatings. I didn't care it only drove me to resist more. Finally everyone had about given up and the school was suggesting other forms of education. My parents finally decided to try homeschooling me and it worked out great for me. Of course I resisted that as well, but I only resisted in the since that I did my learning my way and learned mostly what I wanted to learn. Is your child smart or are you serious that there only a C student at best. I was a D and F guy, but only on paper. When I took the yearly exams that all other kids in convental schools had to take I was in the 99.9% group in all areas, but spelling. I still can't spell worth shit, but I feel I'm a well informed person and at 26 now I'm doing pretty well for anyone my age. I don't believe people are dumb. Just ignorant in certain areas. Maybe you need to expand and grow your childs areas of interest and try to integrate the other stuff into there hobbies. My parents saw that I liked using a computer very much. They also saw that instead of playing games I would write games. I'd do it 16 hours a day or more if they let me. They looked at what I was doing and it wasn't just messing with a computer. I was a 11 year old that could type at 80 words a minute write in 3 old school programming languages. I was learning and using mathmatics that were way out of there league, and I was also writing technical documention to go along with my programs using techniques I learn from books at the library on technical writing. I wouldn't advise medication or labels though since that is just bandaiding a problem instead of dealing with it. Evan
  10. go to my clubs website and you'll find a few nissian guru's on there. Plush Fab customs had a really nice 2002 truck that he totally hacked up and did a solid axle swap on. It did well, but anything can get stuck. Evan
  11. I agree with not putting it on a POS that isn't ever going to be done or even started, but consider that at many of the car shows and sound competitions I've competed in there has always been a class for best underconstruction. I guess its based on the type of project, condition of the project vehicle and stuff of that type. I had a buddy in Parkersburg that used to win that award alot. He did actually finish his truck though so it was cool. Evan
  12. I spend 75% of my work time in a car and I notice that most of the really fast speeders are driving SUV's. Not saying I don't like them its just that why do they do it? Then there are the BMW drivers, but mostly its SUV's going 80+ alot of times 90+ Evan
  13. If its an auto get rid of it quick. The tranny will go out and that will suck. Don't believe it do a web search. You will find a large amount of owners with bad trannys. I had one go out on me. I put some rebuild in a can in it to get it to the dealer and traded it in:) Evan
  14. yeah the starters are the same for about all japanese cars and trucks. You just have to replace the solenoid contacts inside the starter every 140,000 miles for a cost of like 20 cents. I've done many of them. Some on the trail even. Evan.
  15. Most engines make more torque then horsepower. Torque is the actual measured amount of force and horsepower is derived from an equation. After torque peaks the equation starts working in reverse and the HP curve usually starts downward at some point very near peak TQ. Of course that is the anwser from a physics point of view, but turbos, superchargers. Change this equation and make it more complicated. My toyota truck engine stock 127HP/180TQ. My 95 GMC serria truck with a 5.7L 207HP/315TQ. Evan
  16. It sounds like your input shaft splines aren't lined up with the clutch disk. If you can try to rotate the clutch disk a little either by pulling on it or by turning the engine by its crank pulley. That engine may not have a crank, but it should have a main pulley anyway. I've been through that a few times. Evan
  17. I may not be busy tomorrow. I will be Sunday though. Evan
  18. Yeah man get your ass over hear soon and eat this shit. Evan
  19. Your probably right the blazers have a really crappy setup to run there front diff. They fail all the time out on the trails. They can't be worse then the older models though they really sucked. Evan
  20. I used to burn up tranny fluid pretty fast in mine, but I put a hugh tranny cooler and now I've been hauling cars like mad and haven't even discolored the fluid yet. Evan
  21. My wife made an awesome meal and I managed to make 2 pies that kicked ass. Evan
  22. How did you blow up the 4L60E? Evan
  23. Its a DSM I wouldn't be surprised. I'd have to run better then they normally do. Evan
  24. I've got MS spacesim. it is so insainly complex that its not even fun. Probably why they only made 1 version of it too. Its something that you should have a good calculator handy while flying. Oh a note on cool tools to use while flying. If the ATC instructs you to hold at a VORTAC you should have a stop watch to make 1 minute passes and then u turn to do it correctly. Evan
  25. I was looking at FS2004. It looks like its a little better then 2002 graphics wise, but it addes alot to the GPS and has a much smarter ATC and allows more options with IFS flights. GPS comes pretty natural to me since I use one daily in my job to locate businesses and in my hobby to go offroading. I built my own throttle control and made some rudder pedals out of an old joystick to see if I wanna buy them. there over $150 for a good one. I'm probably going to make a better throttle this winter that will be able to control up to 4 engines independently. In flight sim you can have up to 255 joystick axises at the same time so its almost endless. Evan
