You can download it for about any flight sim out there. Myself and others consider Microsofts flight sims to be the best out there. That plane is cool. It takes a couple of states to turn it at over mach 3. I've flown most of the consumer simulators and I've also flown the "Really advanced" ones at the dayton airshow and the like and the Microsoft ones kick there asses badly. Check out this guys cockpit * http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/howto/kevssim.htm

Shit I better get my truck done so I can play. To bad we'll never get enough snow to be really fun Evan

That type of thing is quite common in Harriers. They are kinda tricky to fly being the first aircraft to successfully use vertial takeoff and landing in the real world. Of course they were built before computers were very advanced so they are 100% pilot controlled. The next generation of VTL aircraft will have computer controller stablization software to give the pilot more room for error. Kinda like the B-1 bomber. Anyone really think that that is supposed to fly. Its mostly computers because humans don't react quick enough over time. Evan

Anyone else into it? I've been into it since MS Fligh Sim 4.0. I currently use MS Flight Sim 2002. My set up is MS FS 2002 Flight Sim voice controlled co pilot software For my controls I use a home built cockpit that has a flight stick, rudder pedals, and a hand throttle beside the MK III supra seat. I enjoy flying IFR between states and heliocopter flights around columbus. Its awesome to try putting it down on the buildings downtown. If anyone else does it it would be awesome to do some flying sometime. Evan

^^^^^^^^ I agree with these guys bose makes the worlds dumbest sounding wave radio. Evan

Do you got fuel, air, and fire? Is this a type of car that needs a signal from the mass air flow sensor to run? Are there any more codes? You may need to get a multi meter out and have fun. Evan I just saw it says you got fuel and fire. codes?

by "car gets hot" you mean normal hot or overly hot. If its overly hot then you could be screwed. If you meant normal hot then you could check to see that the cold start circuit is shutting off after warm up. Evan

Need basic info on Toyota 22R/20R motors and old-ass Celicas in general.
Tractor replied to a topic in Passing Lane
If you think of something you don't know on the 20/22R/RE engines just ask. I've been there done that. Evan -
Yeah I agree. Its sad that its happened so many times on something that simple though. I can kinda understand alternators and starters, but a water pump don't do alot. Evan
-
Well it could be that you are installing the belt to tight. That would be about the only problem that would cause failure that soon. It could be bad shit in your water eating the bearings, but probably not. Evan
-
Oh yeah. I've been so damn busy lately I haven't had time. It looks like after next weekend I'll be stuck in columbus for awhile so we can get everything out at least. Anyone else for hangin out and helping? Evan

I agree Rockford is a very good company. There amps were always very good. I used to run 4 1200watt pyramid amps 1 each into 4 Cerwin Vega subs. The amps aren't perfect, but the model I was using was a rebadged PPI class B MOSFET amp so it worked, but was old tech. They would put out about 900watts RMS so they were over the subs 600watss RMS rating and made my truck loud as fuck. Evan
-
My 4x4 truck will be BIG and I've got a first gen RX-7 that might be getting stripped down and 350 swapped. Evan
-
RMS = Root Mean Square = <> 70.7% of maximum power The speaker runs from a frequency comming from the CD player through the amplifier to increase the power. The frequency has peaks and dips. The RMS is the maximum you should put into the sub, but the max power is the maximum amount it can take for a short period. IE hard drum hit or something shouldn't damage the speaker, but a long bass note at peak power will. I'd get a speaker with the best effiency you can find. something like 100dB>1>1m 100dB> at 1 watt of power> from a distance of 1 meter. Evan

Toyota truck update for those who give a rats ass
Tractor replied to Tractor's topic in Passing Lane
I finally got the time and got the truck sitting on its own weight again. Now to make it mobile. Evan -
Here's a whole bunch of different martial arts stuff. Some of it is pretty lame wrestling and some staged demos, but some really good technics and hard hits in a few of them. Evan
-
I thought they were pretty lame fighters in the first video too. Not saying I'd want to have to fight either of them because even if they'd have a hell of a time landing a punch on me I'd probably have a bitch of a time actually hurting them although I can easily fold a 270lb bag in half with either arm. Those guys are just moron enough to go bare knuckle for money and I'm to chicken. Evan

Your thoughts on drifting in the US, American cars...
Tractor replied to Boost-n-Juice's topic in Dumpster
Any dumb fucker that thinks drifting is new and that only ricers do it is just retarded. Drifting has been around as long as people have been into making there cars faster. Now drifting as a competition that is judged may be new, but go to any hick town in southern ohio and you will see every parking lot that empties at night or especially after snow storms are totally covered in marks of people drifting. Every hillbilly learns to do it as a way of life. We drove on gravel roads alot of the time and we drive in snow and mud and other bad conditions. I can remember my dad taking my brother and myself out in the old pickup and drifting when I was probably 6 that would be 20 years ago. Now having said all this I do agree that anyone that drifts there car and damages it via hitting a curb or pole is pretty dumb. If your gonna do it make sure you've checked your area first. And if you totally lose control your pretty dumb to. I can say I've over shot my slide many times, but I've never hit something or ended up actually scaring myself or overcorrecting. I'd recommend drifting be a part of the driving test. We spend alot of time on stupid shit in the driving test, but nothing on advanced techniques. Pilots practise stall and spin recoveries as well as equipment failure crash avoidance techniques. All we do is sue automakers for not making the computer do all the work that any skilled driver can do. Such as maintain lateral control or braking control in an emergency. Probably covering just those 2 areas of advanced driving would save lifes. Just imagine how many people end up taking there first lateral control lesson while there slaming into a wall or car at 65MPH. Not a good time to learn and you also learn nothing because you are scared shitless or dead. Evan -
I agree about the Bo making a good weapon to know how to use because you can pick about anything up and use it like one. The Han Bo is about 3 feet long and would also make a good weapon under those criteria. Well if your odds are 2 or 3 to 1 then you probably wouldn't want to use a hold, but thats were your life becomes more theatend and I believe the law changes slightly so you can do alot dirtier things to protect yourself. I could be wrong though. Again 2 or 3 to 1 is also a mental game. If your in that situation they think your less likely to try anything and they also get braver until you give them a reason not to be. I'd say totally destroy the first guy that comes near enough and the others will probably think twice. If not there next reaction would probably be to try to grab you. Let them. Then knock some teeth out. Or see if you can open there throat. Evan

How does everyone feel about martial arts weapons while were on it. I like the Nunchukus(sp) myself. I wouldn't want to argue with anyone that is holding nunchukus. I am pretty well practised in most of the weapons of karate and a few kunfu ones and the nunchukus will deliver the most painful blows. I'd most like to be attacked by someone with a knife because the knife is a mental game. Most amatures are going to try to keep a hold on it and try to cut or stab you. At the same time it will give them a sense of security because they don't think you'd try anything risky. Thats when my one arm holds there knife hand and the other causes damage to there eyes and maybe even a few liver/kindy shots. Lots of fun! Evan

Well a fight doesn't have to go to the ground when its totally one sided. Say Mike Tyson vs me and most other people, but most of the time a fight won't start and end with both people standing and if I'm knocked down via a blow, push or bodyslam and I don't have time to get up before the assailent gets over top of me then he's going to be joining me. Of course I've never been in a fight that lasted more than a few seconds out side the ring because I usually get in quick and hold them painfully while I talk them out of a big mistake for one or both of us. I've never had anyone disagree after that point, but hey you never know and its good to know you can hold your own. As well as martial arts are fun and a great workout. Evan

Toyota truck update for those who give a rats ass
Tractor replied to Tractor's topic in Passing Lane
Yeah me too. I've ran it pretty much stock except for the small block for over 3 years now and its done pretty good, but the added flex and width of the fullsize axles should be a huge improvement. The other reason to do it is that the parts are easier to fix on the trail and cheaper overall. Evan -
To bad I'm to dumb to remember to take pictures, but my toyota fullsize conversion is going well. In around 10 hours I've flipped a `79 blazer on its side, cut all the drive line stuff off with a torch, cut all the toyota trucks IFS stuff off, welded in brackets and bolted the front solid axle from the fullsize blazer in place. I removed the rear toyota axle and have the fullsize axle in place and just need to get the lift blocks to hang it. Next I'll be putting on shock mounts, hooking up the steering, replacing the toy tranny with a GM SM465 and making driveshafts. The trucks total lift is 13" so far and will be capable of running 44" swampers if necessary. I'll probably keep it around 37" to be nice to the driveline though. After this stuff is done and I move it from the farm in Marietta its getting onboard air and an onboard welder/120VAC system over the late winter/spring. Evan

Your right the jumps and stuff would be useless in a fight except to maybe wear someone out. Not knocking the really good Tae Kwon Do guys, but most that I've fought at the schools in Marietta were pretty pathetic. Kicking unless your fast or your opponent is dumb just takes to long to get off a good hit. Thats why the only kick an old school karate instructor will teach will be a front kick to the balls or maybe a little higher. Bruce Lee is also quoted saying that any kick above the waist will probably not work. The other school I went to was a kind of karate/boxing school. The guy taught boxing for the punching technics and had a bunch of kicks thrown in to call it combat karate. Pretty funny. It was effective, but the instructor wasn't that good and it wasn't unusual for most of the students to get the best of him. Greeco Roman wrestling owns all when the fight goes to the ground. Evan
