  1. Is that the voltage you get in alot of places around the car? Like in the cig lighter, and say at the lights and stuff it should be, but I figured I'd throw it out there just in case. If so the regulator is bad and I wouldn't run it like that for very long. Yes it could shut down the car. The ECU probably has a built in surge protection.
  2. Slow as Hell is pretty much right. I never forced the tstat open before though. I may try that sometime. You should be able to warm the coolant up by running the engine and then loosing a hose that is at a point above the rest of the system. That should release the air and pressure then you can add more water as needed. Evan
  3. That really wasn't a bad idea at the time and I don't see why it would be now. Who really cares if a bomb hits the moon. Rocks in space traveling at very very high speeds have hit and continue to hit the moon. Cosmic radiation far worse than the alpha, beta, and gamma rays that are produced by a bombs hit the moon all the time as well. Our earths magnetic field stops most of the bad radiation from hitting us. We wouldn't want to destroy the moon though that would be bad for us. Evan

    jeep racing

Jeep and racing can't be used in the same sentence.
  5. Did the second one actually come up? I'm messing around with all this message board stuff for lack of anything better to do tonight. I was seeing it, but now its just the red X for me.
  6. Anyone got any good pictures of there trucks doing what trucks do? Mine is undergoing a major refit now, but this is how it has looked thoughout most of its 4 wheeling life. The first pic was taken after I had already broken the front ring gear. It was pretty cool getting that far up the rock in 2wd. http://www.ohio4x4.com/gallerypost/data/518/20066.jpg http://www.ohio4x4.com/gallerypost/data/537/10Evan_Ditch1.jpg [ 09. 7. Just ask I probably have it for a toyota. The big stuff is all the IFS parts, a locked rear axle assembly thats complete and a complete 22RE with all its accessories, hoses, wiring. 2 toyota W56 transmissions. The chevy is pretty much a rusted out haulk of a 79 blazer. It does have all the interior stuff incase someone needs gauges or seats or some type of trim stuff. I have some of the door, and body parts and windows. Send me a PM
  8. Yeah I noticed Since I'm using one for a computer chair right now I'm just not sure it would keep me able to use the clutch, brake, gas pedals, and other shit while the truck's x,y axis are more near the 90 deg point then most people could believe or imagine. Currently it sucks with the bench seat in there. Its pretty hard to start it and try to take off while I'm laying over again the passenger door. Evan
  9. Okay all this has got to be bullshit because I was listening to the new lib station 1230 AM today and some jackass calls in talking about a website that shows just before the impact at the pentagon the terrorist fired a missile at the pentagon from the plane graemlins/bsflag.gif You see a video can be made to show anything you want it to show or your mind can be made to see it.
  10. I'm doing some major refitting my 4x4 truck and while I'm at it I have a question about seats. I'm looking to change my toyota truck from a cloth bench seat to some type of bucket, or performance seats that will help me stay planted in the seat with the truck laying on its side. The number one prority will be will it work and then second prority will be cost. Its gotta be cheap because I'm cheap. Anyone know of a car that has stock seats I could get some from that would allow me to put in harnesses. The seats comfort isn't a big issue since I haul the truck to the trails and am in and out of the truck alot thoughout a 10 hour trail ride. I was thinking about some of the cheap ones from sumit racing. Evan
  11. Yeap thats a cacoon. Used to have them all the time down in Marietta. don't remember exactly what it is because I'm pretty dumb about biology stuff.
  12. I'd believe it wasn't a plane only if it could be proven that the dead that were on flight 77 weren't at the pentagon. There were 4 planes downed that day. 2 in New York City, 1 at the Pentagon, and 1 in West Penn. I see no reason to believe it wasn't a plane. I'm sure in a town that size and with the level of tourism there someone actually saw it. I'm sure once it got near the ground the noise from its engines got anyone outside of a cars attention. I'd need alot more proof.
  13. Not to take away from and odviously stupid run in with the cops, but you were really in the wrong place at the wrong time and your lisence plate would probably attract alot of attention. You know what my lisence plates for all my cars are? I don't either because there state issued numbers because I'm cheap and wouldn't want to attact any more attention then I already get. Especially when driving the toyota. Evan
  14. You really can buy anything on ebay. Thats pretty messed up, but I suppose it would be a good laugh.
  15. I agree. Alot of times girls are pretty dum and I bet you can't even talk to her about it because for some reason some can't be reasoned with. I'm all for kicking his ass after she leaves you though. And I feel that you can destroy his life buy destroying his car. Its totally fair play. Evan
  16. "They really lower the ground pressure of the vehicle. You can drive on TOP of the mud, instead of through it. It's damn near impossible to get a tracked vehicle stuck in mud." graemlins/bsflag.gif Yeah they lower the ground pressure, but a bull dozer is very easy to get stuck in a small mud hole or 2 foot wide streams. I know all about those. I had one stuck several times and it takes a backhoe to dig it out. Evan
  17. Color would be nice, but for a considerable amount more. I don't really have any trouble sorting out all the data since you can zoom as close as you need and can limit the type of data you are needing to see anyway. As for out on the water. You wouldn't even need one with a detailed base map for marine navigation. Just one with a good tracking feature so you can create routes and input your own navigation markers. Evan
  18. Thats just it. We've had them totalled and never had to buy shit from them. We either drive them home or have them towed to our house. Of course its always an argument to get a towing service to take a car back to your house instead of a garage, but we do it everytime. Evan
  19. I agree. Artists are usually pretty fucked up. Thats what gives them there ideas and talent. You know I'm probably the last old dude to still like Metallica, but I do have to say that this last Album is totally suck ass dumb. I really enjoyed there S & M set, but after that they started trying to make new songs and really they don't carry Metallicas style. There trying to be more like the new hit bands and they all suck to. Evan
  20. I used a Magellan for my 4x4 trail leading duties. They are the most accurate of the name brand consumer units. I only have 6MB of memory, but I can load topographic maps in full detail of 80% of Ohio. In low detail street only I can get a few states in it. I also use it for work driving around on service calls and it will get me to 99% of the locations I work in. Some of the newest streets aren't on the maps yet, but aren't on any other maps other than county ones anyway. Evan
  21. Go to my clubs website. www.ohio4x4.com on there you will find local columbus guys that know there shit real well. Evan
  22. I've heard that about MSD's as well. Evan
  23. Have you reached a certain age or something. I no I haven't liked any new stuff for many years. I'm only into the bands that last more than a few years. This "One hit wonder" shit totally sucks ass mostly because the people that like that shit are in my opinion are the equivelent of ricers in the music world. Evan
  24. I totally understand running plates and if they actually do that thats great I just wonder how many really bad people they end up harasing by doing that vs how many minor offenses they write when they probably wouldn't normal care. But bothering people for really dumb stuff is lame. I hope a westerville cop is on here. If someone knows one tell them to start stopping dumbass kids from run 50MPH through my neiborhood with there sound systems on at 2 or 3 AM on week nights. I used to have a very powerfull sound system in my truck, but shit I didn't play the damn thing in peoples hoods ever even in the daytime because it was totally louder than most of this pussy shit around here.
