Yeah I'd check the slave cylinder for proper travel. I had one that finally came apart on me. It could be if you have a rubber line somewhere in the system that its weaked and is stretching. Evan

Here's a good one for yal. My sister inlaw has a 2000 dodge stratus and the brake lights work normally until you turn on the head or parking lights and push the brake pedal. Then the drivers side tail light goes out and the brake light doesn't come on. The passenger side works normally by getting brighter since both the tail and brake filaments turn on. The bulb is good and I checked the connector and it works normally. I also cleaned all the contacts. I'm guessing its a short somewhere, but I figured I'd throw it out to you guys to see if its a common problem. I don't know alot of dodge products either. Evan

Anyone have a EEPROM programmer? I have been looking into doing my own programming. I can write the code, but by the time you buy the equipment and make the cables you could by one already made. Does anyone know if the Hypertech programmers actually work as good as custom programming? I've also seen some really nice circuit designs that will allow you to run a chip with more memory so you can switch between stock and modified using a switch. That seemed like a nice feature. Evan

It could be that you had a bad t-stat and you replaced it with a bad t-stat. Don't think it can't happen I just did that last winter. I've seen it several other times also. Other causes could be one of the fans isn't working. could be the fuses or could be that the fan motor is worn out. I'd rotate them by hand and see how they sound and feel and check the fuses. You may even jump to watch them run while your sitting still. The reason for this is you mentioned the A/C makes it worse. A/C will take up a bit of HP and on most cars it puts the fans in a highspeed mode or at least forces the 2nd fan on. Evan

I'm not completely certain how to do it, but I'd guess you'd have to jump some pins on a diagnostic port on the truck to get it ready to check and then you'd just set the timing. I'm actually not sure that timing is the problem on your blazer. Pretty much all GM small block design engines from 96 and on use a fully computer controlled timming system. Its possible that something like the knock sensor is not working. It detects engine knock and pinging and adjusts timing and other things to compensate for it. So unless you've had the engine apart and set something wrong or missed plugging something in you might have another problem. I could probably help you out, but I'd definately have to have a manual test the timming and probably do some research on it. Evan

You'd pretty much have to go with the phone company that you use for a standard phone if you go the route of DSL. I've noticed something about the marketing tactics of ISP's. It seems that the cable companies have everyone thinking that cable is the fastest out there. Why is this? Its totally not. It would depend on the plan you have I guess. Phones have a certain speed they can run at using a modem. DSL uses a phone line, but on a different frequency than voice. I am paying for 1.5Mbps and usually through DSLreports.com I rate in at 1.6 to 1.7Mbps. So tell me how am I slower than a cable setup? Sure someone could go and say they have 6Mbps on there road runner, but then I could say I could have purchased 6Mbps on my DSL. I'm pretty sure DirectWay has both TX and RX via satellite and its not really expensive although it does cost more than the other types. Evan

Thats a pretty odd problem especially if SHIEF's right and several people have had the same thing happening. I'd suspect a short somewhere. It could be that a wire got routed in the wrong spot and now when cars get on roads and get jarred around they short a harness somewhere and cause it to blow stuff. Disconnect the battery negative terminal and test the positive connection at the light to ground. There should be an open load. If theres a connection switch the an ohms reading and see how good the connection is. I wouldn't guess its a full connection or you'd blow fuses and kill your battery alot. You may also check the voltage at the light connector and make sure its the same as the others. too much or to little voltage can cause early failure also. Evan

definately size matters, but nothing else does. If its one of the driving tires (meaning one that an axle goes into) you should probably move one of the older tires to that location and replace one that does not have an axle going into it. The reason being that the slight difference in size from wear or brand differences could result in increased stress on the driveline. Evan

Maybe your compressor failed because your system was running low on lube already and the damage was done. My dad just put R-134a into R-12 system about 6 months ago and also we have a van that had the same thing done to it with no bad things happening. It may not be good for it, but its not that expensive and hell compressors are cheap at the junkyard anyway. Just buy a conversion kit from autozone or my favorite advance auto parts and go for it. If you decide to go with a chevy engine try the TBI units or set up the stock qjet to run correctly. I spend my trail rides making fun of people who's fancy ass carbs won't run while the vehicle is laying on its side. I had my truck laying at an 80 degree angle while going up a 45 degres hill last saturday. It was like that in the rain for probably 15 minutes and never had any problems. I kept dropping into a rut and rolling over and had to back up to fall back down on the tires. It was so extreme my belts were getting wet from the rain pooring into my passenger wheelwell. Its just a stock qjet that I keep tuned good. Evan

Just don't fall for that $600 bullshit like alot of people. Don't laugh to hard I can name 3 or 4 people right now that have fell for it. besides why not just do it yourself. replacing brakes is one of the easiest do it yourself jobs. Evan

Not sure on that one, but its possible that the bellhousings are the same unless they used the R151 series trany for the 2.7's. Its probably still the W59 like yours since it can easily handle the power. Evan

Put in a chevy engine and tranny and you could do it for less than $1000 easily. You can come over and measure my motor mounts and stuff if you want. Evan

Yeah good guess. it can be checked by listening to the gas tank while turning the key to the on/run position. You should hear the pump run unless its at full pressure already or your not getting power to the fuel pump. If you suspect that its at full pressure wait a few hours or a day and try it again. Evan

Well its either not getting fuel properly or its not getting spark. It could also be, but not as likely that the injectors on top of the TBI unit aren't firing properly. You can check them by running it and pointing a timing light at them. They should spray in a nice fan pattern across the TBI opening into the intake. You might just put a fuel filter on it just because it probably hasn't had one yet anyway. Evan

Good points, GAS. Also check the radiator fan fuses and probably a RAD HI/AC fuse. Also check the AC fuses for shits and grins. I just fixed one over the weekend that had a fan motor lock up and blow all the fuses. Had to replace them and the fan assy. Evan

On thing you can do is download the updateds from windowsupdates.com I think thats the link. I just installed an update that fixes that problem with some systems. Evan

Got laid off several times over the past 3 years since I moved up here. Hard to find a job unless you have no experience. I did however find a good job kinda in IT. Its paying more than I ever made in IT. Anyway its copier field service. I do some connected stuff, cable drops, and network troubleshooting, but not as much as I used to. I'm glad too. To much BS working on computers. Evan

I can't imagine you actually damaging it by the description of your repairs. Does it run? You didn't actually say it starts and runs. It may need cleaned out so I'd keep starting it. My mower does some strange stuff sometimes. Like just won't start at all no matter what. Then you go out the next day and it starts on the first pull. Probably some type of flooded condition, but I know how to start a flooded mower and it don't work. Evan

HIJACKTHIS is a good one for giving your a list of things such as search bars. You do have to sort through them all manually and find the ones that don't belong, checkmark them, and then hit the fix marked button. Its cool though. Evan

thats pretty sad considering you can get a small block for $100 bucks or if your in southern ohio its a case of beer. Evan

Zelda was the best came I played on the NES. I played a few other versions over the years, but not much since I didn't own the game systems. Evan

Help Wanted Engine Replacement?? Anybody want to make a some money
Tractor replied to CJINOHIO03's topic in Passing Lane
There right that wouldn't even be worth the time. That could easily turn into less than $30 an hour. -
Where we going? Is it legal? Its it local?
