I always figured it was a sign of diversity (multi colored) otherwise rainbows are pretty gay;-)

I guess it depends on what the "guest account" will be used for. If its just occasional and casual use of the computer just create a guest logon and use security policies to lock down folders, etc you don't want the guest messing with. Its already built into windows and no reason to make it harder than it needs to be.

Your right the Carolina's are great, especially around Charlotte, the weather is amazing, 80-90's at closer to 50% humidity. Odd part is the local people here cry about the weather so much I want to slap them. I can't go anywhere without hearing how hot it is and how they can't wait for winter, but the morons all go inside and stay there from labor day to memorial day anyway so I guess they just like indoors best. Huge job potential here in Charlotte, same with Raleigh and many other Carolina cities. I don't know much about florida, but its on the list of places to move someday. Next move I plan to be on a beach, but that is a few years off once I get set up to work much less.

As someone who recently moved to better weather, that's the one thing you can completely control. If you want to move do it. Ohio has good things that I miss but I wouldn't give up being able to go outside 11-12 months of the year without a coat to get any of it back.

Good for you man. Sometimes you gotta shake things up and do something different. Especially to move up in the world. The guys are right though, making a lot isn't as important as planning and budgeting. A few years ago my wife put us into bankruptcy court and since then, I've taken control and showed her how I manage money. We've since moved to a new state and our current jobs make much less but we save thousands more monthly due to simply planning. Now that we've settled into the new area we're planning to step up the jobs this fall. Its very easy for me though, I come from a long history of cheapskates.

I've been extremely happy with many of Samsungs mobile products over the past few years, S3, Original Tab 7" wife and I both have S5 now, and my daughter and I have had Tab 4 7" tablets for the past year and they've also been excellent products. However we both take great care of our toys. My wife on the other hand is a disaster with phones and hasn't managed to destroy her S5 yet;)

I live in Charlotte now so I was just giving local knowledge. Charlotte isn't even a big city yet, they just have very bad traffic flow (old school ramp designs and bad signage) and lots of accidents. I live to the south of the city and I have to plan around traffic to go a couple exits for a burger.

Also I like taking SR 35 from the Ohio River to Charleston, WV. It's on good road and scenic. 33 to Ravenswood is nice too.

I hear Planet Fitness is doing the IPO thing this week. Any opinion's (other than its the fat person gym)? I personally like their model as a business and could see them making nice profits but only if the health fad continues, otherwise they are just renting out expensive retail space.

If you do take 77S DO NOT hit Charlotte during rush hours, you'll waste an hour if your lucky. Also just north of Charlotte around Lake Norman the traffic is very slow almost all hours of the day. Best to go from Statesville to the SC boarder before 6am or after 7pm if your time critical. The area's grown so much over the past decade. During mid day expect the Lake Normal area to waste about half and hour, everyone slows down to nearly stopped and looks at the lake like they've never seen water.

I have always stayed away from China, they don't follow rules, they have no problem miss reporting financial data, eta. IMO not good unless you know of something specific.

Best advise of all is learn to except the pain of losing, not just losing some money, but the deeper since of loss from being wrong about a position and then having the market take something "cash" from you because you where wrong. Its just like being punished by your parents when you where young. Rather than letting your brain build up that "avoidance to pain" meaning "training not to do that again," you must learn to let it go and keep trading your plan even though it hurt last time and don't second guess yourself out of a great set up due to the remembered fear. This is what defeats the majority of traders. These days there are lots of books on the subject, mostly written by beaten ex traders;-) They do have good points though, one I've read a couple times is "Trading in the Zone." Jesse Livermore had a knack for understanding the fear/greed dynamic of the market and earned/lost fortunes several times during the early 1900's.

Thanks guys, I have a family trip to Disney in a few weeks then I'm getting much more active in changing jobs. In field service I drive way to much, but since I moved to a new area I decided to stay with it just a little while to get to know the region and also I end up in lots of IT Depts throughout my daily routine. Wish I were better at networking with people and not sucking at interviews.

Yeah, I hear ya. I had a great opportunity in a school district around Columbus right as I was planning to move south, the current guy was retiring and I worked with him almost weekly so I was the top pick. But I think moving was the better decision, there's so many jobs here, but thousands of IT jobs, thousands of applications so blah.
-
I moved to Charlotte, NC last summer and have been here a year doing most of the same stuff I did in Ohio for the past 12yrs, IT Field Service. Before that I did a lot of different areas of IT, programming, sys admin, service dept manager, etc. So I've been tired of it for years and looking to change and go back to more of the in house IT type of work. What I really want is a Systems Administrator gig at a company with say 30-100 end users or something like a school district or other local gov agency. My experience and resume are great however finding the type of job I'm looking for has not be easy. I have probably 8-10 recruiters in the area who love me, love my credentials and could get me a job at any IT Dept doing anything from helpdesk to much higher level support roles in the large corps ie Bank of America, but I've been there in the past in Columbus working with Nationwide, Ashland, etc. Currently I support companies from 1, to 300 employees on a daily basis. Any of you working as the "IT Guy" in the size company I'm looking for? How'd you find the job. I actually see more of what I'm looking for on craigslist than I do the recruiting sites. Thanks,

I've found over the past 20yrs trading stocks that individual stocks are much more predictable in the very short term via technical data and then get predictable again in the longer term by reading fundamentals. To me at least there is a "grey" area of days to weeks that is pretty hard to predict unless very specific circumstances occur and then those are the stocks which I make huge profits on. As for my short term trades I aim for accuracy first and let profit sort itself. Long term stuff, I just research what I can and hope for the best.

That storm front just passed over head here in Charlotte, nc. Looked pretty cool, just a little wind.
-
That's pretty cool. I've seen the show, much better than watching naked and afraid. I've seen the naked and afraid guys run from small animals that the fat guys in the woods would have tackled and ate. Lol

Going in October, wife's got it planned out well. Its a huge undertaking to schedule all the stuff my two little princesses want to do six months out.

I could point you to lots of trails within a two hour drive but nothing central Ohio unless you want to chance getting caught down on south high around obetz.

I do like his style.

Anyone work at a dealer and see anything about this? Sucks we got four vans and three are showing symptoms that I know of.
-
From what I'm reading, looking like lots of transmission failures. Not really seeing a diagnosed down to a single part or anything like that yet. Thanks for the link.
-
My companies ford transits have been showing signs of transmission problems. My boss wanted me to check around for possible causes before we take them to the dealerships blind. The shifting isn't great, feels like its slipping and then will bang into gear, they will do this most frequently while in heavy stop/go traffic, acts like it doesn't know what gear to be in, sometimes won't come down from higher gear, sometimes won't go up into next gear and then bangs into a gear. wrench light comes on, but no codes are getting logged. Any ideas? I'll also be googling later, but gotta run kids to dance class.

Frys electronics, huge store in Atlanta that makes microcenter look like a kiosk. They sell selfie sticks for $10. But the one in the OP is creepy.
