  1. If some piece of TWC equipment near you didn't have power then I guess that would cause your problem. So I'd say completely normal.

I lived off cooper rd for awhile. The cove at cooper lakes. It was nice. I also lived up at oak village near 23 and polaris. Before I decided to move to South Carolina I was looking at the places out near westerville rd and polaris near the Meijers. Also on up westerville rd to sunbury has nice apartment these days that isn't very far away.

I'd pick Lewis Center or Westerville before Polaris itself. The traffic is very heavy during the peak hours and especially annoying during holiday shopping season. I lived near, but never at Polaris for many years and loved the convenience and general area.
  4. Ok, I've had 2012r2 server running on one of my old PC's for a while and it's been working pretty well except that reason I stopped using that PC and built a new one keeps coming up. Random system errors, loses HDD connectivity. Happens a couple times per week and I'm getting to the point where I want to get different hardware to fix it. Current specs are an ASUS P5Q SE2 with an Intel Q9550 Core 2 Quad Processor and 8GB of RAM. This setup is working fine as far as performance goes and I've got 2 virtual servers running as well for the fun and learning of it all. I'm considering going to an AMD based machine because I've been able to find stupid cheap ECC memory for it which is always good for a server. Any thoughts on where to get or what AMD processor/mobo combo will allow virtualization ie Hyper-V? I found that current intel processors don't always support virtualization. I'd like to keep this about the same specs as my Intel machine because I don't need more other than more RAM if I can get stuff that will support more. I'm also open to buying a used server and am googling a few places that sell them at reasonable prices. That actually might turn out to be the way to go, IDK.
  5. Thats one of the huge issues with dealing with people who suffer from mental illness or even physical problems that can easily create depression situations. Even for someone very close, to the person. Its not your direct problem so you don't easily know when you need to help even if its just listening and being there for them. As a friend at a distance its even harder because when you leave them, their problems seem to go away in your own mind. So many times you here, "they seems find last time I saw them". My wife lost her mother to depression just after we got married so I understand a lot and have had 15yrs to think about it and I do most days. You always think, what you could have done, but you have to remember it is a disease and ok people can't end their life and the truth is they plan it out for a long time in many cases.
  6. ETF, exchange traded fund. just a group of stocks put together into a single fund to make it easier for you to get involved with investing without having to know what stocks your in specifically and follow each one. Diversification, etc is done for you by the fund managers if they any good. Important to make sure your getting the best deal you can find on funds as not all are the same, some will have high maint fees that the guy selling it to you will sometimes like to hide in the details.
  7. In the end it doesn't matter what the insurance company would have paid. The bottom line is that if you had used your insurance you were going to have to pay $4500 deductible. Insurance probably was going to be billed zero and the hospital was going to laugh all the way to the bank with about $3k more of your money than you ended up paying by paying cash up front. That right there is the problem and should piss us all off.
  8. To me the cheaper wines tend to be better tasting (less complex as well) and more expensive ones usually much more complex tastes and also usually much more acidic and tasting like the barrels they were made in, lol. Wife loves the cheap ones and doesn't have the patients to drink complex stuff and have the "experience".
  9. A client of mine gave me a bunch of them. Very hot.
  10. So far this fall the Carolinas have gotten way more rain/cloudy than usual. It started to look like Ohio for a whole week.
  11. Lately it looks like our police haven't been doing very good at making split second decisions;-)
  12. I didn't talk about the position long. I get inquires about jobs and the pay is all over the place for the same type of jobs. I guess it's more a question of how much a company values their IT systems.
  13. I know the feeling. I have way too much fun with my kids now for a job like that to get in my way.
  14. Yeah little of everything, geek skills.
  15. I agree with that, I was just telling someone that times are changing and oil is becoming less the major energy source. Some of that is just me hoping we move forward, but you can see it in policy changes and prices.
  16. I got a call from a recruiter of mine in search of an IT guy that is willing to travel with a racing team for IT support. Possibly based in Charlotte, NC. I'm not interested since I'm getting out of traveling, but said I'd pass this one along to my fellow car guys. Sounds like they wanna interview very fast, even as early as tomorrow so if anyone gets this in time call; Tell her you got the lead from Evan Claire Shiflett Recruiter Insight Global, Inc. 201 N. Tryon St. Suite 2150 Charlotte, NC 28202 (704) 357-3177
  17. Because you have insurance they are going to rape you and your insurance company because you can afford insurance so you can afford the rape. Makes perfect sense in DC.

    Virginia

West Virginia basically doesn't seem to care what your speed is. Virginia on the other hand, better to just set cruise and get it over with.
  19. My downside is protected by being 90% day trades. Doesn't matter what happens in the week/mo/years. Love volatility and do best when everyones either panic'd or euphoric.
  20. Yeah, out in the country. Outdoor lot. Indoor spaces are only $40-50 but hard to get since they are full.
  21. I store my Military truck at a state park boat/rv storage for $25/mo in the boonies.
  22. Not really a star wars fan, but I didn't like the direction Star Trek went with the last few with JJ directing either. He should stick to Super 8.
  23. I was just watching a documentary on YouTube about Robinson helicopters. I found it interesting that their model R-22 and 44's engine is from the nineteen fifties. Still carborated and all. The range is around 200 miles depending on altitude, wind, weight, etc. They mentioned due to regulation and cost to get a newer engine flight certified is cost prohibitive. To me that's really sad and part of what is wrong with the US.
