  1. the app just says Swype+ Dragon which the Dragon speaking works awesome too for dictation.
  2. This guy right here http://www.remax.com/realestateagentoffice/westerville-oh-43082-sidneyhuck-id13844076.html He's been my agent a few times and would be again. Excellent at what he does and has been doing it for a very long time.
  3. At 19:44 a tornado was sighted near Carrol, OH. I don't think I'd want to "sight" one on this dark rainy night. Would be a bit close and sometimes they have buddies. Here's a map of tonights outbreak. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/TornadooutbreakCapture_zps7174c48d.jpg
  4. Doppler radar has progressed in recent years to the point that a tornado or at least extremely fast rotation can be detected within the clouds. This is what the NWS uses to issue tornado warnings now. The app I mentioned in Tims thread "Radar Alive Pro" can show level 2 radar data and wind velocities. I've been monitoring this storm on it and at around 6,000-9,000ft wind speeds have been 70-90mph. In the area's of rotation you get winds of the same speeds moving in opposite directions on the radar and that is where the tornado warning comes into play. Using radar we still can't see the rest of the story and be 100% that there is a tornado, especially if its not close enough to the doppler station to see data near the ground so the warning is a good indicator to at least be alert and not be caught in a bad spot.
  5. Oh yeah, iheartradio is cool, I use the WOSU radio app and a few other stations custom apps from around the nation that I've learned about.
  6. I installed swype pro because for me the default keyboard's swype function would not train to my usage at all. I use it for work and filling out work orders and it couldn't even learn to input my most common things so I replaced it with one that I knew how to customize.
  7. I use "radar alive pro" all the time to monitor incoming storms. isn't a weather app, but rather a very good radar map complete with in the field reports from storm chasers. Pindrop, Swype pro, and color note are also apps I use daily. If your into any day trading "stock quote" is good for technical charts.
  8. Thats how I've always taken that list, as a toyota fan boy, I don't complain about anything that goes wrong with my toyota's because I know it could be far worse. Good example, my 2005 Tacoma, I've had it since new, its had a couple small problems, but its nearing 200k and oil and tires are about all its had. I don't even do any of the PM stuff because its been my experience with toyota that it works better if you leave it alone. Sounds like I'll just watch Lexus SUV's. Wish they had a larger tow rating, but I guess thats just a good reason to keep my military truck.
  9. Lol yeah, Lexus SUV's are on my short list.
  10. Ah well, all the suspension parts are always completely shot on all my toyotas, but just ignore the noises, but keep an eye on it and if it looks like its about to break and I would care, then I fix it. Sorry poor toyota owner mentality here.
  11. I learned something... According to that vid we were still testing in Nevada in the `80's and early `90's. Funny because all that time I was a kid watching all the documentaries which only show the really old tests shot on film that now looks like its about to break. Cool point, I still haven't seen a modern documentary with more recent film.
  12. It was the `50's. They were trying to wake Godzilla.
  13. My turn, I don't talk cars much so here goes... I'm thinking of cars I might get a few years from now. I don't know much of anything about BMW, but I spend a good bit of time at MAG for work and I'm liking the looks of the 2013 3 series. two generations of my family have always owned toyotas due to their longevity, low cost, and low cost to keep driving. I've driven or owned about everything in toyota's line and nothing is what I'd call comfortable until you get into lexus. How's BMW on reliability after a few years? By this time I also don't plan to be fixing my own stuff much, but I'd really hate to find that I have to do much more than brakes and oil as thats seriously all I ever do to toyotas and I pass 200-300K frequently on them.
  14. For reference, calling corporate and giving a reasonable complaint is a great way to rock the boat at a local level and get things done. The Regional and higher managers live in a dream world of how things run and they don't like hearing complaints and will almost always make sure your taken care of. Wife and I have had lots of experience on this over the years and have always found it to be true. Professionally, part of my job is disaster recovery such as this and in most cases I can come in to find a customer who feels completely wronged and can turn the situation into a position one reflecting why you keep your money with our reputable dealership (office equipment not cars, but same principles apply.)
  15. Wife goes to america's best at polaris. I've not needed any for a while, but I'll likely go there as well.
  16. I repair them all the time for engineering and architectural companies. Mostly HP DesignJets and Ricoh models.
  17. No one at my house watches live TV and hasn't for at least 4-5 yrs. I'm out pretty far so I can only get DSL, but it works fine with no interruptions as long as I do my huge uploads from my photography business in the late night. Netflix and Amazon prime keeps us completely entertained.
  18. Anything above 5m pixels will do fine at that size. Especially if shot in RAW mode so that you get to start with the highest resolution possible, but even if the photos were only done in JPEG it would be fine on canvas due to the built in texture of the material.

I agree with point 1, I hate the idea of tipping as well. Point 2, I see the same "very well played service" they are very effective and there is always 5 or so working on your table on the cruises I frequent and they are typically European servers.

I get what your saying, when I go on a cruise they do some of this, but I take it as part of their fine dining experience and they are never pushy, though possibly over the top for my personality.
  21. Yeah most V8's are going to have the quadratrac in them. Mine did fine up to 250K then the transfer case exploded. Easy to swap, but by then I was tired of the gas mileage and at my job I shouldn't have been driving anything under 25mpg really. The selectrac is the basic transfer case set up, 2HI, 4HI, N, 4LO. Any other transfer case and your in fulltime 4x4/AWD.
  22. I'd get a `99-04 grand cherokee. Nice to drive/ride in and can tow when you need to. I'd get the I-6 and a selectrac transfer case for simplicity and slight gas mileage increase. As soon as I'm no longer in a job where I drive everyday I'll be taking a serious look at one again. I drove one from 80-250K and loved every minute of it except for the gas mileage.
  23. I've used steel BB's in several sets of larger tires for balancing, works fine.
  24. Marietta's SR 26 fall foliage tour is a major attraction. Its also a covered bridge tour. Self guided or tour bus. Since we moved this far north the Wife and I have found that a trip up into the Mohican State park area is great for foliage seekers, there's a sizable gourge in the area as well as this castle http://www.landollsmohicancastle.com/
