Wow, I ain't done that yet and I've had a couple vehicle fires over the years. LOL @ the fire fighter comment.

I had some dude doing that to me one day while I was driving at work. I have no idea what I did. From the way he was doing exactly that and also had himself turned completely around in the cab of his `80's dodge pickup flipping me off through the rear window I wondered if he thought I was someone else. In this case I didn't attempt to escalate at any point and just ignored him which seems to make it worse. Finally I decided that his `80's truck probably topped out at 80mph so I just left him behind and traffic was heavy so there was no catching up. Grove City people, blah.

Those are cool.

I picked up 3 military jerry cans off a guy in Newark last winter. I'll be restoring them and just test fitted one in the jerry can mount on the truck. Lucked out in that deal, the guy had a fuel and water can set and they are from early `50's.

While that would be fun, the truck is high maintenance enough.

Here's the mostly finished trailer. It was pure luck that it is from the West Virginia National Guard. My dad was a 1092 engineer in Vietnam when this trailer was brand new otherwise I probably would have sold it. Still it was a lot of fun restoring. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/IMG_1933_zpse9389866.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/IMG_1934_zps8fd0a9f0.jpg

Very pretty. This thread inspired me to go out and photograph an Easter Lilly that I've had growing on the edge of the woods on my property which comes up annually, but the last couple of cold days messed that up. It was a very nice looking one when I walked my daughter over to see it last weekend.

Got around to making the stencils and putting the numbers back on the trailer. All thats left now is to finish the spray on bedliner and finish painting the tongue and put a few "Lift Here", "Tie Down" stencils near the lift points. So busy, I'll probably get around to that in a few weeks. If I get time I'll move it out of my garage for some photos this weekend.

He's actually getting old this year. Does this mean I've actually known you twenty years?

GeoArm here, I own the system, am the installer and no one except me has the installer or master codes. Most other systems will lock you out of your own equipment as soon as you sign up. If your DIY'er its the way to go. You can buy what ever you want for equipment. I went with stuff ADT uses for the main stuff since it had good reviews, etc. I installed some extra's and programmed in some perimeter and driveway alarms. Response time is seconds after the call goes out.

I could be completely wrong, but my photography skills are giving me a hard time believing the photos came from the 1940's and are just random photos that were polished up with photoshop. Especially any of the close up shots where people are working in factories. The lighting is clearly shot off camera and using the same equipment for the shots. The white balance and exposures are all nailed to a T as well. Photo number 8 is a great example and shows multiple light sources that likely were fired "bare bulb" to create a high contrast effect. Didn't say it was impossible, just saying some look staged though I have no idea how or why anyone would go to that much trouble. Could just be a lot of the HDR processing too.

Lol, yeah and pretty much anywhere outside of ohio's major cities.

On the pro gun side it comes down to "a right not exercised is a right lost." Guy should have complied with any orders law enforcement gave him and just been on his way though. I'm sure he probably tried to argue that he was doing nothing wrong. The side of the road is never the place for that argument unfortunately. Law enforcement should have told reporters of the "man with gun", that it isn't suspicious to be carrying a rifle in and of itself and to mind their business.

If its that easy, do it. Though if it were it wouldn't work very long.

Now your talking, that won't get you much attention and you can find out who has the gold and take them out. Remember this is SHTF anything of value is going to put you in a life or death situation with anyone you come into contact with so its better to look worthless. Its not going to be a rosy game of WoW, especially at first. There will be millions starving to death and ready to do anything to survive once they realize there will be no help coming, but by then it will have already been to late for the weak and nice.
-
I actually watch (AUY) Yamana Mining as an indicator for gold and have traded the stock in the past. Summer is coming up so volume will go down after the June-July profit taking.
-
On the whole "gold for the SHTF" situation I see it like this. If things to go SHTF and some guy approaches me trying to barter gold for something I have or service I could provide I'm gonna kill them and see what else they might have of value. That is if I get to them first anyway.
-
If i were gonna trade gold, I'd treat it like any other commodity and it does look like a reasonably good buy in time if your shorter term, maybe sell towards August or something. But that isn't my style so I don't touch it.

Cars & Coffee 2013 Promo Video - Need Your Car for More Footage
Tractor replied to ForeverMaker's topic in Pics and Vids
I'm no expert but cool start on the video. -
I was mostly joking, but if you really wanted to do it I'd be game. I keep my eyes out for interesting settings to photograph my truck in during my traveling around Ohio. The big places I'd like to be able to bring it are Rickenbacker, DSCC, etc. Would love to do a shoot with the hangers and aircraft of the 121st down at Rickenbacker, but I don't figure they are gonna let me in there unless its for work. DSCC might be different, but nothing good there except the "military" warehouses would look kinda correct since my truck is from a logistics detachment.

I need a model in some arrangement or current desert BDU's for my truck. Oh and some guns and big tools.

I've had an `05 V6 4x4 dbl cab tacoma since `05 for the same reasons and its held up great. Tows 6-7K lbs just fine and stops it well even when the trailer brakes aren't up to par. It can tow a 3-4K car + 2K trailer even better. I've towed over 9K with it once. I wouldn't have, but its flat up here, no traffic, and I was only going 20 miles. Mines an automatic with 175K on it and still feels new.

More reason to hate cable barriers (first 2013 Viper casualty)
Tractor replied to Mallard's topic in Passing Lane
I've seen several cars cut up pretty bad by the ones near dublin and more recently the new ones north of columbus on 71.
