  1. steelsoldiers.com and craigslist has them listed for a couple hundred bucks. The downside is the brakes are air actuated and the lighting is 24v. The electrical stuff is easy to convert and could be done by simply changing the bulbs and installing a standard trailer connector. The brakes on the other hand are much more expensive to convert, but doable.
  2. More likely to be a red tail hawk. I'm no expert, but the coopers hawk is much more rare around here and I can easily spot you 5-10 red tails on any 10 mile stretch of highway this time of year. They go through different color patterns as well as male and females being different looking so sometimes they don't look like the name would suggest "red tail." Cooper's are small by comparison.
  3. I've seen a lot of build ups on converting them into campers and using them for camping. It would make a great trailer to pull along on a long trail ride. I can't see it working out well in Ohio especially on wet days. The unladen trailer is 3Klbs and most trail rigs have a hard enough time moving over wet terrain. Out west or some other large region they would be awesome though. My plan is to also use mine for camping. I'll sleep in the duece bed and use the trailer to haul our gear when the family is along for the trip.
  4. I don't think they do well behind anything. Very heavy trailer for being so compact and backing up with one is a special kind of fun, especially with a duece because you can't see the damn thing until its already crooked.
  5. I keep meaning to take some photos now that I've got the whole thing back together and the cover on it. Maybe after I put the generator back in tomorrow. I really need a garage big enough to work on it in.
  6. The M35A2 truck I picked up back in winter came with a not so great condition M105A2 trailer. The truck has been doing well except the generator stopped charging, which I think I fixed today, but will have to test it. There were some wires disconnected inside the regulator. The trailer turned out to be a very awesome find for me. Its a 1960 model and after sanding some paint I found unit markings from the West Virginia Nation Guard 1092 Engineering Battalion Head Quarters. That is where my dad served in the Vietnam Era so its pretty cool that it found its way into my hand. Looks like this except more rust http://www.mvcconline.org/catagory3/images/Jon%20Hoff/m105.jpg I am going to be restoring the trailer to serviceable condition. Currently it is rusty and the air brakes don't seem to be working. So far I've been able to remove the cover racks and bows and repair the parking brake system. Today I cut out a very badly rusted area, welded in new sheet metal, and prepped it for finishing. I've still got a lot of loose rust/paint to sand off then I'll be painting it to match my truck and put the West Virginia markings back on it.
  7. Lol been in my garage all day working and just saw this. Blah, I've been wanting to go back downtown to do some shooting.
  8. Would love the chance to light this one better.
  9. I wouldn't want a lens that goes out to F6.3 at 250mm myself, but it depends on what you shoot with it.
  10. The thin little Kodaks have been very impressive lately. My mom and sister use them though personally I'd get a Canon because I know the menu system well and shoot with Canon professionally.

    Tax experts?

Not sure about your case but you can file up to three years back to claim a return. Doesn't work if you owe them though.
  12. My cheapo harbor freight model has been great in helping me make many brackets etc over the years.
  13. +1 for motion sensors. I picked up several DSC wire and wireless ones and they work great. Easy set up if you already have an alarm panel.
  14. They will make excellent reefs when they try to use them. MERICA, FUCK YEAH
  15. I'd be proud of that wide angle shot. It's simple but still a keeper.
  16. I know what your saying and agree. Instagram is just the latest problem. The underlying problem is people not having a clue what a photo (talking strictly technical/artistic) should look like and then giving praise to clueless "photographers" over the images. Real photographers join a group ie, forum that gives truthful critique of their work so that they improve their collective skills instead of oogling over underexposed photos of pets, kids, and the occasional duck faced, underwear clad self portrait of a fat chick with a rather large camera.
  17. I'd hit it with a drimmel or grinder to make a flat notch in the outer ring, then hit it in the the correct direction to loosen it using a larger hammer and chisel or screw driver. Should come right out. Hit it with PB blaser just before you try also, will make it easy.
  18. Its sad that the simple thing to do would be to use my title from my `92 Pickup, put the vin somewhere on the truck and forget it. This allows me to simply get plates for it as a toyota pickup, sell it to someone else within ohio who then simply has the DMV person look at the vin on the title, then get their plates. Completely ignoring the fact that toyota had nothing to do with the design or even any single component used in the construction except for maybe a vin plate or piece of the firewall. This sort of thing happens all the time even with the DMV ORC rules about not modding vehicles. IDK the whole time I've been into 4x4's I've always been troubled by law enforcement ignoring 99% of the mods we do yet they bother others for lots of things.
  19. I've heard of that and seen other buggies with frame sections left in from other trucks, but I'd rather get the "self assembled" or even register as an APV before going that route
  20. I guess a big question is, does the inspection include things like, bumper heights, etc. my vehicle will have the standard safety lighting but bumpers aren't gonna happen. Though I guess if I had to I could put something stupid on it and cut it back off later.
  21. I've read the DMV and OSHP sites on self assembled vehicle titling, but reading and doing and different things. Has anyone actually done it? I think I can provide the necessary parts paper work. If I were simply building a truck id just use one of my old titles, in my case it would be an obvious fraud and id like to do it very legal.
  22. I've heard of it "magically" turning back on and don't want that happening often.
