I always look them in the eye, a good portion of the time you can tell if they are just a bum or really need it. Well I guess they all need it or they wouldn't be asking, but you know what I mean. I know you guys think I'm a POS as so many say when we talk pets, but what I hear some of you saying about your fellow man in this thread I hope you don't really mean. Myself I help them when and where I can. Luckily the company I work for allows me to just call in and say I'm helping some poor people and will be a little behind and they are cool with me giving them a ride across town etc. Any one of us are a simple accident away from being that homeless mental case. Look at our friend 614streets. He's obviously went off the deep end and if he vocalizes his "new beliefs" at work he's out a job. If he has the type of anger the nazi types usually have he could be a homeless mental case soon.

I went to blackwing and thought it was a fine class. It might have been more on the higher end as prices go, but you get a range pass for the next 30 days (on tuesdays) and Attorney Ken Hanson gives a two hour Q&A which IMHO is well worth it. You couldn't sit in a lawyers office for two hours and get the information he gives for their class fee.

Not all but a lot of them get a nice fat social security check every month. They do have issues though and its a shame society doesn't do a bit more for the mental cases. The rest can get a job.

Truth I got my wife scared with all the money I'm dumping into the market, but unless a total collapse of society as we know it occurs I'm set to do well down the road. In the mean time I swing/day trade and pull off little gains here and there to buy toys with.

Did you try United Rental? My father is a manager at their Marietta, OH location and they will repair about any equipment if you pay their rate. The columbus locations may be the same.

The laser the dude at the range used activated simply by gripping the pistol like normal. I don't remember the brand name. I have considered a flashlight to put on my M&P .45's accessory rail, but still probably just something to get in the way.
-
hmm, could you make it a pistol? I think that would be fun, not sure if it would require any special stamps or forms though.

I have a remington 870 HD 18" barrel and it is plenty short. Of course I put on 2 pistol grips because its much more fun to use that way. If your concern is spread pattern, the choke will do more to determine that then the length will if your only talking a couple inches.
-
Isn't there an overall length along with the barrel length, since we're on the subject?

I watched a guy use a laser on a pistol at a range recently. Not experienced either, which led me to believe that lots of practice would be required to learn how to shoot with sights first. Then transition to a laser, because I could tell the dude was concentrating on keeping the laser steady when what we probably should have been doing is focusing more on the target. Oh and not to mention learning how to pull the trigger without whole hand movement. Once he switched it off he started doing okay. I could be entirely wrong though, I've never used a laser on a pistol, only rifles which are much more stable.

Der Dutchman is good, but I actually like the Amish place down at Logan better.

Pick a nice random road south out of the area when you leave and enjoy some back country. Eventually you'll find a major road to had back to columbus on.

Shot using 5Dmk2 + 70-200L 2.8 with several off camera speedlites around the dance area. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/Photo1.jpg

biggests, best bags for the money are the "Canon" brand backpacks and shoulder bags. wish i would have known about them when I bought my tamrac backpack, but I was a noob. the one i have fits only 5 lenses, 40D+grip and 5dmkii + grip and it cost twice as much as a larger Canon backpack. I did however learn my lesson and buy a canon shoulder bag to carry my speedlites. I carry 5 of them + cables, batteries, etc in it and still have room for more stuff.

I enjoy Hal actually. His posts are at least well thought out.

This is very important. Try not to be a target in the first place and the rest takes care of itself most of the time. The rest of the time just be armed and aware.

They'll probably shoot cats;-)

I use zenfolio for client stuff. Just wish I knew more about it, I hear from fellow wedding photographers that its very customizable. It wouldn't be good for simple photo sharing though, expensive and not really built for that.
-
I use photobucket and it retains my exif stuff. Though I do resize the images my self. If you don't do that before the upload they may be stripping the data at that point.

Since I get to tell people the same "if I can't see it, I can't fix it line every day" I guess I'll chime in a little. If it won't do it for them they probably really can't fix it. Now if it was my problem I'd still probably think of something to try for you each time you brought it in, but I still couldn't be sure I fixed it until I never saw you again for that problem. If it is a failing wiring connection or similar problem it may not be diagnosed until it finally fails and the key will not come out. At that point the tech will probably have it fixed very quickly. It happens to me all the time with office equipment and when the failure happens in front of me I know exactly whats going on and can even go into service modes and run diagnostics to get feedback on the problem. I am sure they aren't giving you the best customer service they can though. I don't know any dealer that would actually.

In all the stress just remember your not the only one to ever have a vendor bug out at the last minute before a wedding. Its actually pretty common. -
Help me to understand what your trying to do. You to want use a motor drive to keep some solar panels facing the sun for optimal power? The problem is much simpler than you are thinking right now. First theres no reason to have dual axis since the sun moves in one direction. You simply need a motor on a shaft angled at about 39-40 degrees north. One good source of motors would be a telescopes drive assembly. This would also give you the hardware interface to connect to a PC. Next you just build a very simple program to cause it to drive backwards in order to reset the system to east for when the sun rises the next day.

Yeah, as stated it will depend on what your wanting to shoot. If its just the occasional shot that you can't get then get back further or if you can't then maybe you could pick up an older Nikon full frame body for those shots. Then your current lenses would be 50% wider by default. You asked about wide angle adapters. You can use one of those and they do work, but they can also degrade the image quality and if try to zoom it will cause a really neat edge distortion effect which can cool nice, but is a problem if you needed to zoom.
