That's my b day and I got free dyno time from the car show. Brian can we get a few pulls and turn off the skip shift with my 100 in dyno time car is stock so would b cool for a baseline

my s10 front crossmember is the lowest point at 2.5" and drives great on the street and easy to drive.

my dad put a big block chevy in one of those 78 hondas. damn motor seemed as big as the car.

if i cant sell it with the car first. id take 1200 obo. paid 225 for the bal 40 for the crank polish, 100 for recon on the rods, 175 to deck it, and about 300 in new parts from jegs, also spend 250 for the valve job on the heads. thats 1090 in just machine work and parts that i can think of. if the compression is too high for you i can swap pistons with pistons of a similar weight to not throw the bal off. but ud have to buy the pistons. may beable to use the pistons that are in your motor now. this motor is std bore. with the dinky cam id guess was in the 350hp range. but never dynoed or ran for very long. 1200 is less than most short blocks. the double humps are the more rare ones with accessory bolt holes.

kroger e85. dont leave home without it

ok i need to sell the camaro project. and the parts for it wont fit my 2001 so it needs a new home if i dont sell it soon ill waste all my money building it and i dont need 3 drag cars/street cars. it has the usual 3rd gen floor rust, but a really straight body and all wiring. was a v6/auto car. i have all ac/heaterbox componets every wire was unbolted not cut. and still in stock loom. car was stripped inside to install custom subframe connectors and cage for 7.50 cert. i have many pics but will post a few here. i have all original interior pannels and they are in great shape. grey. dash had no cracks, and worked perfect. also i have a spohn tq arm / tranny mount for either th400 or t56 w loop and rod ends options. plus a spohn panhard bar with rod ends. for 0 deflection. id like 1100 with the tq arm and panhard bar. wich are over 600 when i bought them. the rust here is right where the subframe connectors go so would get cut out anyway http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20Chevy%20Camaro%20build%20up/SANY0620.jpg this is the worst of the rust and would just need cut and a patch put in. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20Chevy%20Camaro%20build%20up/SANY0615.jpg rear wheel well rust is prety minor and easy patch pannel fix http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20Chevy%20Camaro%20build%20up/SANY0617.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20Chevy%20Camaro%20build%20up/SANY0616.jpg installed remote turn off for battery and charging posts. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20Chevy%20Camaro%20build%20up/SANY0714.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20Chevy%20Camaro%20build%20up/SANY0542.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20Chevy%20Camaro%20build%20up/SANY0549.jpg thre are parts for these everywhere as well. also have the 350 motor out of the blazer if somone wants a more street than strip setup. its 12.5:1 and ported double humps jegs cam and just rebuilt with about 500 miles on it. stock bore crank rods, but crank was polished rods reconed and all parts balanced w new pistons. new rings, bearings, double timing chain from jegs, jegs reinforced timing cover, heads have new valves seats and guides, springs and locks. springs are set for .550 lift safely. compression is a little high for the small .488/.510 but sounds good. 1800 with motor http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20blazer%20project%20blaze/SSPX4118.jpg 4 bolt mains http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20blazer%20project%20blaze/SSPX4114.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20blazer%20project%20blaze/SSPX4127.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20blazer%20project%20blaze/SSPX4124.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20blazer%20project%20blaze/SSPX4123.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20blazer%20project%20blaze/SSPX4121.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/89%20blazer%20project%20blaze/SSPX4138.jpg if you need i can swap the pistons for a lower compression if not running e85. you buy pistons and would need to be similar in weight to the ones in it to keep the balance in check. comeon somone buy this project and keep me from building another drag car. its my addiction and im trying to quit.

Wheres everyone find current car world records
Mattsv8 replied to DaddyBuiltRacing's topic in Passing Lane
yep this is how it works. there is no legit way to ever know who is fastest. u think some prince in in some foreign land cant have a fast car look at the shek kalid or however u spell it. im shure he holds a ton of records in quatar. the fact is there is always someone faster. -

Mattsv8 replied to DaddyBuiltRacing's topic in Passing Lane
All i know for shure is i got the fastest stock 1 gen block in a stock steel body s10 with full interior on pump e85 with 14yr old slicks. whats up now!. -
how much for the dyno chart with 400 hp. i could set up some races with the s10 if i had that. look its on low boost. lol
-
Yea its deff not everywhere. and may never be. but i have no plans to drive the s10 or blazer to tn. but for racing its awsome and usually arround 2.29 a gal summer w/o kroger discount. i usually get 20 gal at 1.99 gal. to runs 8s w low boost and 9.90s on 225 and a junk 355. saves a fortune over 114 or 116. some places are at and over 20gal for 116 last i heard. i was paying 7.00gal for 112 last time i bought any. s10s been e85 since before the turbo. i swaped with the old motor and spray. 3 passes and it was quicker than 112.
-
agree. i love the stuff. blazer and s10 are one it. way more power potential than junk 110. and leaded 110 is not race gas. u need to step it up to 112 for a truly race blend fuel. also waaaayyyy cheaper. if i decide to turbo the camaro it too will get a steady diet of pump e85.!!!!
-
i checked out the thread wow those streetlights looks badass. i think im gona do the 18" fast lanes ill post pics once i get them all mounted up. will be a while though. buying one wheel at a time. then tires. whats a good daily driverj tire for camaro in a 18" size
-
the 15" versions are sfi but the 16 17s are not. according to their site.
-
looked on their site. they deff have the sizes needed. but the 17s are not sfi so if your gona do some fast drag racing. they wont pass if the tech official checks them wich i doubt. but something to think about. mine wont need them not fast.
