  1. Well I'm investing in bauxite so you shall bow to me!!!! I'm also heavily invested in technetium and mercury, and am currently weaponizing them to make my toxic liquid fire ray gun. Currently finding that I need to set aside some money for molybdenum r&d to truly harness the power. Also beryllium. You can never have too much beryllium.
  2. Gold is at an all time high right now; obviously the time to buy, right? If the world goes to shit, shiny metals vs fiat currency will be the least of your worries.
  3. I doubt there'd be as much passion for winning were it not for the prospect of an NFL/NBA/NHL/etc career. I think the celebrations are awesome in their excess. Randy Moss mooning the GB crowd many years ago will forever stick in my memory as a hilarious sports moment. If a defense doesn't like end zone celebrations, try the tactic of keeping the offense out of the end zone. If they suck too much to do so, end zone celebrations are the least of their worries.
  4. Bored, dick, lazy, pathologically overcommitted to his work, or all of the above? EDIT: Or foul weather?
  5. Always heard "Nine you're fine, ten you're mine". I usually try to keep it around there but I figured with my tires going bald my speedo would be less accurate than normal. What gets me is that I haven't had a speeding ticket since I was 17 (8 years) and I am NEVER the fastest car in the area.
  6. Going 670WB the first day they had the crossover for 670EB into WB lanes. Before all the shit, its always been 55mph. Offcer Cockknuckles lasers me in a 55mph zone, follows me til I'm in the 45mph construction area (all while dark, no lights no sirens at 11:46pm), then pulls me over and cites me for 66 in a 45 with 2x fine for construction zone. Considering I was cited for 21 over in a construction zone I was fucking AMAZED that it only cost me $170. Still, not happy that I was a max of 11 over at any given point (I was doing 66 in the 55 zone, 55 or thereabouts in the 45 zone) and he went out of his way to fuck with me. Also, he cited "moderate-heavy" traffic on my citation...at 11:46pm...on a Sunday. Dick. Only good thing he did for me was leave Reckless Op off the thing.
  7. add to the mix a false sense of grandeur and entitlement and you've got an Audi killer!
  8. and on the internet, i'm a 6'10" muay thai expert who has diplomatic immunity. so what?
  9. Thanks again for the kind words. It was great to meet you and I enjoy trying to change CR's collective mind about this car, even if I have to do it one member at a time.
  10. a friend of mine just showed me a taser she has; its contained in what looks like a cell phone case but with one button press the metal nodes shoot out and its apparently quite effective. kinda expensive ($200 i think?) but its legal, deceptive, and powerful
  11. How awesome would a Morrowind DLC be? If Rockstar could put together something like BOGT/TLAD and charge half a new game price for it, I'd think Bethesda could put together a great Morrowind rehash with the Radiant engine and people would gladly pay $30 or $40. I know I would.
  12. I have my Xbox hooked up to my main computer monitor and use my 2ndary computer monitor to play NHL Gamecenter Live so I can nerd out while I nerd out. Not the quality res I'd have with a true gaming rig, but I'm guessing most gaming computers couldn't stream HD hockey while playing Skyrim on max settings. More importantly, do what the fuck you want. I prefer gaming on PC but for some reason, I like playing the elder scrolls games on Xbox
  13. Yeah absolutely. And that includes dealers like the one in Pittsburgh who had 0 cars on the lot but who were technically open for business. This whole Laura Soave exodus should be good for the company. Getting a Chrysler guy to head the brand will help market it as a car for all instead of as a luxury item.
  14. saw this yesterday too. ridiculous lack of communication about this from verizon's side. makes me think there's gonna be early issues
  15. Got a '99 Econline with more miles than you're looking for that came in on trade to our Lancaster location. Not sure on price yet, I'll get in touch with the GSM and get back to you.
  16. what year? My dad's '95 is pushing 90k miles and I want to buy it from him not really, he'd never sell it
  17. I, too, am looking forward to driving both the Focus and Fiesta ST
  18. In terms of what we should be compared to, the FIAT is an A segment car making it a direct competitor to the Smart Fortwo, and other B segment cars such as Fit, Yaris, Accent, Cooper, Sonic, the smaller Scions, Kia Soul, Versa, Fiesta, and I can't think of any others. Most of the time, however, we're finding that our customers are looking at the 500 as the small economy car option on their list of possible purchases. As in, they're not looking at any of the cars listed above, but they are comparing the 500 to Golf TDI which I believe is C segment, I find myself competing against the Prius more than the Yaris. I get a lot of people comparing FIAT to small SUVs instead of the Fit, more like the CR-V and Rav4. The most common competitor I face is the Hyundai Elantra or Veloster, both of which are great cars IMO. We did just take a 425 mile Veloster in on trade though. We definitely face a lot of competition from Cruze because its a well equipped vehicle, same story with the Focus. If there was one car, however, that I'd say I hate to compete against, its the Mazda 3 because I like that car as much as I like FIAT.
  19. This thread is a perfect example of why I love the Abarth. Its a polarizing car. Not only do people who not like it hate it, but they all have the reaction of "I DON'T LIKE IT BECAUSE I THINK THERE ARE BETTER CARS AND IF YOU LIKE IT YOU'RE WRONG AND YOUR OPINION IS WRONG".
