  1. Unable to provide facts Unable to add new insight to thread Unable to read rest of thread I know, I'll troll the SHIT out of this thread :gabe:. Point out to me where I compared the FIAT's interior to the MKV R32's interior. I can't help if you inferred thats what I was saying. I was comparing customers' experiences driving a 3 year old 260hp AWD performance hatchback to the FIAT. Which, when new, cost nearly double what a FIAT does. And even used, cost more than a loaded FIAT. I've been in MKVI interiors, and while they're nice, they still feel sterile and uninspired to me.
  2. The car does not have a price yet, nor do we have U.S. Spec performance or EPA figures. You and I can only speculate on performance of the Abarth, but what I do know is that a base 500 Sport at $18k provides, IMO, unparalleled performance, gas mileage (most people say the EPA is between 7-10mpg off on highway figures), and warranty in a car that gets a LOT of the right kind of attention. The car's niche is people who love performance in small cars and Italian style. I like driving GTIs, but I don't like the sterile, soulless feel of their interiors. If the minimalist, contemporary feel is what turns you on then you're right, the FIAT would probably mean little to you. I completely understand that the FIAT will not make everyone happy. However, if you're like me and you like seeing little differences like a color-matched dash (note how the new Beetle has gone back to doing that, like in the Karmann Ghia) and an interior that feels like it was designed to make a fun environment for the driver instead of geometrically proportioned to most efficiently place each button, then there is really no other vehicle in the market that offers what FIAT does. It's hard to explain, but when we had a MKV R32 here, we put a lot of customers out in that immediately before/after driving a FIAT. Overwhelming response was "yeah, that R32 is a hell of a car, but it didn't make me smile the way the FIAT did". Hell, that R32 owner was driving around for 2 months with a vanity plate before he got his FIAT Prima Edizione. That plate? "ABARTH".
  3. C'mon Jones, you've got to realize by now I'm not gonna get mad at your trolling. Its a sad attempt at best.
  4. If you can prove residency somewhere in Ohio, you could keep your car registered here...
  5. They use the same 1.4L Multiair in the Alfa MiTo which is rated at 170hp 180 lbft. The Abarth Punto Evo Esseesse puts out 180hp which I think is from the same motor but I'm not 100% sure. Also, pulling out a random metric like 0-60 for a small car meant for quick handling is just silly. I've seen slalom figures for a base 500 Sport between 67-68.4mph, skidpad figures .85-.86g. The Abarth undoubtedly improves on that.
  6. I would hope there's still a little more room. I dont know if it uses a different turbo, but I think there's a couple variants of the 1.4 Multiair turbo that put out 170 and/or 180hp.
  7. I am going back on my answer of Ray Lewis and frankly I'm ashamed of Buckeye nation for not bring up my favorite LB, who has the best offensive stat line in the history of football. MIKE FAWKIN VRABEL. 10 catches for 10 touchdowns and 14 yards.
  8. I thought you were talking about the Italian style of the regular 500 not the Abarth, my mistake. If we're going to talk style though, it's hard to properly convey the kind of attention this car gets. There are few cars that will elicit the same response from a group of SCCA racers as a random crowd of people at Gallery Hop (I've done both events with the FIAT). You may see the SCCA crowd get excited for a BR-Z, but the Gallery Hop crowd couldn't care less. They will, however, love the Nissan Cube and Toyota Yaris, cars which the SCCA crowd lament. I hope I don't seem too defensive; I welcome all criticisms, as it will only help me do my job better. EDIT: It's also hard to explain, but car guys will know what it means when a car wants to be driven. Its something that I feel when I get behind the wheel of a Mini, or my dad's old M3, or most sporty cars. Its a characteristic that defines the 500, and its IMO the only car that you can get that in for the price.
  9. Ray Lewis no doubt. Reading articles from this years shortened camps, I read about how during scrimmages he'd run sideline to sideline before the offense snapped the ball screaming "FLAAAACCCOOOOOOOOOO, FLAAAAAACCCOOOOOOOO". That seals it for me.
  10. Come drive one. I've got a 2010 Honda Fit manual on our used lot you can drive right before/after to get a feel for the difference.
  11. Those numbers are misleading. Those numbers include all models, so its FIAT 500 and 500C versus Mini Cooper/S/JCW, Clubman/S/JCW, Convertible S/JCW, Coupe, and Countryman. FIAT is absolutely behind their prediction, but no one actually thought they'd do 50,000 in year one. The slow rollout of dealers up til this point has hurt us, as FIAT didn't jump start their ad campaign until nearly 100 Studios were open. I most often find myself competing with $25-$30k cars, and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. The fact that people looking at a Rav4 or a Chevy Cruze or similar cars consider the FIAT 500 the ONLY small 2-door worth a look I think says volumes about the car and the brand. Its easy to compare spec sheets and features and say that a Fit or Yaris gives you more stuff for your dollar, but until you actually get out and drive every one of the cars (as Clay has done, and I very much respect his opinion of the FIAT vs other cars), you're unable to grasp what a unique combination of features, driving experience, and the panache that the FIAT represents.
  12. I haven't seen it in any leveling guides so I'll just post it here. I didn't do it for very long since I was out of resources, but immediately after murderizing a blood dragon in Morthal I accidentally hit a guard with a fireball blast. I happened to have a powerful magicka regen potion in effect, so when all the Morthal guards were destroying me I dual-weilded a low level healing spell. In about 2 minutes my Restoration and Light Armor had jumped several levels (both are still very low for my current level), I had lost no health due to constant healing, and my magicka was still regenerating faster than I could use it on the low lvl healing spell. I assume this'll work with heavy armor as well.
  13. no. dont spend perks on lockpicking, whatever you do. you can pick top level locks very early on. i've mostly filled out Sneak, One Handed, and Destruction at lvl 20 and im starting to have difficulty with some of these enemies. I recommend leveling combat and smithing more than I did.
  14. Not saying it doesn't have any of those things, but IMO the COTY should be something that inspires the entire automotive world to get better. Never once have I heart someone say "man you have GOT to check out that new Passat dude! Its fuckin awesome!" Give it to the 5.0 Mustang or something. You'll be happy to know the #1 manufacturer people in Cbus are leaving to get into a FIAT is VW. I feel like my manager is apprasing a used Jetta or Golf at least twice a week.
  15. This totally in no way sarcastic (why would you even think that? Don't be a pessimist) analysis of MT's COTY pick made my day. Fuck VW and their bland, boring bullshitmobiles. I've got no issue with the rest of the companies under the VAG umbrella, but the direction they're trying to take the auto industry in disappoints me greatly. http://jalopnik.com/5860185/motortrends-2012-car-of-the-year-is-an-epic-win-for-mediocrity
  16. This. I had a random dragon encounter in Riverwood last night. Decided magicking and archery was boring so I got him in a clearing all to myself and one-hand-sworded the shit out of him. it was more challenging and fun. a couple time the fucker snapped at me trying to chomp me, but I jumped under a bridge. Again it showed off the AI in the game as the dragon searched around and under the bridge for me. I tried to take on a dragon priest last night. I've been able to take on Frost Trolls and bears solo but that dragon priest fucking destroyed me.
  17. we need a freddie mercury rage face
  18. Post your character names ITT. My Dark Elf is named Professor Facerape. He rapes faces...with a PhD.
  19. You're just not patient enough with the lockpicks. I've been doing adept/expert easily with 17/18 skill in lockpick, haven't encountered master yet. I had a lot of practice with this lockpick style in Fallout games though. and Re: boobies, the nude mod was released on the day skyrim dropped iirc.
  20. I loved my XDm 9mm fullsize, I would suggest that or an XD. Easy to own, shoot, selling mine was a tough decision. I haven't replaced it yet, but I highly doubt it'll be my last XD.
  21. I did this too. I was tempted to build a new pc for this so i could mod it, but i figured i'd probably get more obsessed with stupid mods than actual gameplay and ruin the game for myself
  22. this can result in unbalanced leveling so make sure youre not leaving your offense/defense too weak in the name of armor crafting. this is a great way to make $$$ though. I've actually had some trouble leveling after 10, but I'm somewhat of a wanderer. I've probably got about 60 open quests right now, I just fast travel from town to town talking to people and picking up quests and then I'll hit the wilderness and complete a few. right now I'm focusing on the thieves guild/dark brotherhood quests in lieu of main plot or mages/companions quests. I fucking love the sneaking in this game, its a lot more logical than oblivion.
  23. Or how about the Sparkle Time Butterflies and Unicorns Happy Fun Room and have a constant animation of rainbow colored snowflakes falling down the screen to make it infuriating to navigate. edit :dumb:
