He thinks it needs that tiny, insignificant lip in order to be tightened correctly. All he needs to do is tighten down the clamp down onto the rubber piece to get it to hold. How many intakes have these lips that are apparently necessary to hold it down -- very little. +1 on he doesn't know how to work on cars.... On another note, I can see his side of things.
