  1. tomahawk ribeye.....looks killer.
  2. Thanks for this thread. I had eyeballed that OKJ bandera earlier this year but talked myself out of it. $376 smoker and got it for $89 today. I bought my buddy one while I was at it. I now have 5 smokers....my wife is happy haha
  3. I did some drum sticks for my son a couple years ago. They came out halfway decent. I want to revisit this at some point. It helps if you have a second set of hands around just to help you move the paint to the side when lifting out if nothing else.
  4. I have a 5er that we use a ton. We just got back from 2 weeks out near va beach in it. We're a family of 5 so the bigger the better for us. We leave it on some property my friend has out in PA on a river and go out there 5-6 times a summer then I use it all winter for hunting season. I store it here at the house in between. This is the 3rd camper I've owned. I tell people shopping to sit down and make a list of "must have" things and a list of "would like to have" things and a list of "don't need" things. That alone will eliminate some leg work looking at campers that don't work for you. Next figure out realistically what your budget is. That will eliminate another group of campers. New vs used. Personally I would never buy a used camper these days. For a first time buyer it's probably not a bad way to go but for me I know exactly what I want in a camper and I know whatever camper I buy I'm going to have a long time. Their condition and longevity depends almost 100% on maintenance. I don't want a camper I don't know the maintenance history of. They depreciate but so do cars. When I know I'll have it 10-15 years the depreciation doesn't matter to me. I spend a bunch of time on mine keeping it in tip top shape. Mine is 7 years old but is also in just as good of shape as the day we bought it. Lastly when you're looking remember very few people ever buy a camper and wish they would've went smaller or had less storage. We probably have 1 more camper left in us to buy down the road and that'll be about it for us. After the kids are gone we will get our last one that'll just be for me and the wife.....it'll sleep 2 regardless of how many beds it has. It'll be a toy hauler 5th wheel.
  5. I like that car. Needs some duals with 12" glass packs on it. Rattle some windows.
  6. i think I've about went through all my parts but I can look and see what I have. Might still have my stock 98 cam. Let me see what I have out there.
  7. black ice would kick vanillarama's ass
  8. I personally would kinda pick a couple of favorites to do then go from there. Don't try to pack too much in per day. We took the older kids last trip and stayed on the go all day every day trying to make sure they did as much as possible. Kinda regretted it later because we were walking 6-7 miles a day so by the end of the day everyone was just tired and bitchy so not getting a ton of enjoyment out of the places. After the restaurants and Hancock my favorite place would probably be the museum of science and technology. The field museum was pretty cool too though.
  9. Some good suggestions. I'd add do the Hancock building over Sears tower. Hancock has a bar at the top and makes for a cool sunset trip up. Get there early as it's busy around sunset. We bought the day/night pass the day before so we could bypass the line and you get the 2nd trip up for like $10. We also liked ditkas alot. Pretty good steak there and liked the atmosphere. There's so many good places to eat there you can't really go wrong. I would say that gene & georgettis was a huge disappointment for me considering their prices.
  10. i never stop being amazed at how safe a race car actually is.
  11. Your answer lies somewhere in this post
  12. growing up my dad constantly talked about a 63 dodge phoenix he owned that had a 413 max wedge. I've looked that car up a few times over the years and the only thing I've ever found says it was an australian car. My dad said that the original owner special ordered the car but that's about all I've ever known about it. I know my dad knew what car he had so I'm pretty certain in was a phoenix just have never found any info supporting those cars in the U.S. I also heard a ton of stories about him running from cops in it after racing and a few good ones of my grandma trying to drive it haha. Most of my childhood is splattered with stories from him and my uncles about that car.
  13. I wouldn't want to live next to either of you haha
  14. never a fan and his daughter has a horse face
  15. people are under the impression these days that everyone on the planet is here to accommodate them. You know you have an overactive bladder yet you fly on a plane unprepared? Now it's the flight crew's fault you had to piss in a cup? At least show up with your own damn cup.
  16. My brother owns this one and CBC so I would recommend either.
  17. yep....looks like the accessory area at advanced auto puked on that thing.
  18. I don't know.....seemed to be the answer to me. If not the video would've been longer.
  19. be tough to do on a "few hundred" but Chicago always has a ton of stuff to do. We just got back from there with the kids. Had a pretty good time.
  20. never heard it called a "disease" before but I have a couple herniated discs down low in my back. Been that way for a long time. The older I get the more problems they give me. I'm in the home stretch of surgery because it's at a point where it's effecting my quality of life. I've tried PT and had shots and none of them really were a long term solution. They would help for a bit then stop helping. My wife works at OSU and already has my back guy lined up. Shoot me a PM if you'd like and I can get his name for you. If my wife trusts him then I 100% do because she works with those guys day in and day out. I'm not near as scared of surgery on my back as I used to be. They've come a long way on that surgery to where it's not nearly as invasive. The less invasive stuff though doesn't necessarily mean the best way though. 1 big cut might be better than 3-4 small ones.
  21. pretty obvious that guy's from California. I wasn't aware that not only does a car have to comply with the law it also has to comply with the laws "spirit".
  22. cool stuff.....I would think those stripers would eat pretty much everything in the pond at some point. Any blue cat or shovel heads in there? If I had a pond that's a fish I would have in there just because I enjoy catching them.
  23. I never put in my order but I know I mentioned the lady fishoflage in an early post. I just could never make up my mind what to get then I went out and went through my rods/reels and have 9 set ups so I really didn't need any. If you did order the fishoflage though I'll pay you for it. Basically just making sure I don't owe you money but if I do it's not a big deal. The offer was tempting and I'm a little disappointed I didn't order a few at those prices......I just really don't need them.
  24. damn....that sounds great. The only thing that rivals the sound is the craftsmanship that went into them.
