these are the ones she ended up picking out. The fact she could get them in red and can buy different band colors to swap out was a selling point for her........even though she wants some that sounds good she's still a 10 year old girl. The other selling point was the fact she could use them as wired or wireless. The computers at school need the wire so this kills 2 birds with 1 stone. They will be delivered tomorrow so we'll see then how they sound. The reviews on them were all pretty good so I suspect she will be just fine with them. Thanks to everyone for their advice and links. We spent quite a while looking at headphones and reading reviews and what not. I let her make the final decision though since it was her money she was spending. I even left beats as an option the whole time. It came down to the sol republics for $109 and some cheaper skull candy which I think were around $80ish. The skull candy had quite a few reviews where they broke multiple times on people so she ruled those out.

I read on the tablo last night. Seemed like it had it's pros and cons to me. Not a big fan of it all being wireless...wish it at least had an hdmi out option. I also just wonder how much we would use it since it's basically a dvr for over the air only and if you're streaming say a sitcom those episodes will all be available on the stick so now you're basically talking about $200+ to record the news. I still have some reading and learning to do about it I think as I didn't spend a whole bunch of time on it last night.

We have the same internet (60/5) through Warner but pay $80ish. Who do I need to blow to get it for $45? I read those links Mitch but they're getting fairly old and this stuff changes pretty frequently. This is gonna happen in the next month or so. Tired of paying so much for something we don't really need. I've also just came to terms that we'll have to give up some things but for the money saved it's worth it.

Well....direct tv to be more specific but close enough. Looking for your experiences after having done this and what you used. I'm just starting the research process and history has shown I'll be doing this for awhile before actually doing anything about it. Few things I'm not sure about. How much am I going to miss just hitting the guide to see what's on and picking something? It's not real often I sit down to watch something specific. I just surf until I find something or watch something I have on the dvr. I do know I'd miss the guide....just not sure if you get used to not having it after a while. I spent some time reading tonight on dvr's and streaming boxes and what not. It's a ton to take in and compare. Going to have to break it down into chunks. I do like the idea of a dvr you can connect to the internet to see out 14 days and set things to record. Pretty much only works for stuff over the air as far as I can tell so hard to justify the costs. I currently have a fire stick with kodi and use it sparingly because frankly it's a pain in the ass to use and the streams are hit and miss. Football games this fall were a trainwreck on it....I think only twice I had a decent stream that didn't buffer constantly. I know the streaming would probably be about the same but I'm curious if skystream (https://www.skystreamx.com/products/skystream-one-android-tv-box-cable-cutting-package) is more user friendly. Any of you guys tried that one? Also kinda wondering if something like sling tv or something like that wouldn't work better for me. Still a subscription service but much cheaper than direct tv. Any and all advice/experiences appreciated.

that's what I was thinking......I mean look at how his toes point outwards. That's never good. a video of this thing when it's done is going to be awesome but if there's anyway possible I want to hear it in person.

no....you were correct the first time. Our entire healthcare and insurance system is broken beyond repair. The only real option you have is to not get sick. If you can pay your premiums and not get sick it works great. Anything other than that though it's a clusterfuck.

I have trouble relating to any of those issues really. I don't know any unsuccessful women or minorities. I'm sure there are a bunch of each but I also bet it more comes down to lack of drive/effort on their part than their gender or ethnicity.

of all the things I've seen Trump do my favorite has been his open support for police. Something that's been severely lacking lately. Those guys have hard shitty jobs and it doesn't help when they get zero support and let citizens declare open season on them. I've gotten tickets over the course of my life and yes it pissed me off but at the end of the day I was in the wrong and they were doing their job.

yes, no, maybe on lamps? -
dog rescues another dog....That's the title they went with? I would've went with dog grabs stick as another dog hangs onto stick.

I might be interested in a couple 2-3 of those lamps. Where are you located? -
looks eerily similar to how I was taught to swim

At one time I went there a lot when I lived up in Columbus. They used to have a great fishing dept. and that went to the way side. They kinda changed their target audience I think at some point. I do want to get up there this month though because I want some frog legs and that's about the only place I know that would have them. For several years I've been threatening to smoke some frog legs and just haven't gotten around to it. I'll have to make it happen this year.

Instruments make a huge difference. Not everyone is going to be the next Jimi Hendrix or Neil Peart so most aren't going to have the talent naturally. A nice playing instrument can be the difference when learning to play. Example is that alesis kit I bought my son. Who wants to play a cheap ass e-kit where the high hat cross talks to the snare and shit like that? Do you have to buy the best? Not by a long shot but you need something that at least plays well. At 5 I'd say you got some time to ponder lessons. Keep in mind a couple of things though. Lessons will be more apt to keep him interested in it because he'll constantly be learning new things and have goals where as just beating on them himself he may tend to get bored with it. The other thing with lessons is he'll be learning to play properly so it won't be as easy for him to pick up bad habits. Like I say though.....at 5 you still have time to make that call. I do know Mike has or has had students that young. Zach started at 9 and he's came a long way in 4 years. 4 years ago....this was the same week he got his first set earlier this year at lessons...watch him at 3:30 go off on the double kickers

We did music go round up on morse with my son's drums. I started him on an alesis e-kit from amazon first which ended up just being a waste of money.....well....some money. I sold them and the amp and got some of the money back. We then went to music go round and bought him a set of pearl's and go back every so often to add cymbals or something. You probably don't end up spending a ton less money really.....you just get much better shit for the same money. It's been a good investment for him. He plays the shit out of them. If you want a good place for lessons let me know and I can give you the number to the guy we use. He's a good dude and a good teacher.

I actually like the looks of that. I'd like it even more with about 100 more HP.

last spring we stayed at the raffaello right by the john hancock. Nice hotel and would stay there again. We're going back in April and picked the hilton this time because we'll have the kids with us and it has an indoor pool. We've did the trains in the past but this last trip we used uber everywhere and personally I liked that option better.

Did that car come from near Thornville? Looks familiar. -
I really wasn't that bad today. I got up and moved twice so that helps keep some heat in you. I never really got cold though....Just my face for the most part. I have a full face mask but don't really like wearing it so I keep it up most of the time and pull it down if I have to. Truck said 3 degrees when I went it but it had warmed up to a balmy 9 at 330 when I came out.

I screwed the pooch. Saw 4 between 11-1. Had a big doe come in from behind me. She bounded when I tried to get turned on her. She stopped about 50 yards out and I rushed the shot and missed. Sucks ass. She was a nice size deer too. Gonna give it another try tomorrow but have a feeling that miss is gonna haunt me until next season.
-
days like today separate the men from the boys. I'm heading out the door now with the muzzy. It only takes 1 deer dumber than I am although that may be hard to find right now because I'm feeling pretty damn dumb going to sit in 5 degree weather. Like the saying goes "there is no bad weather......only bad clothes."

#2 sounds like the best option to me. I have a pellet stove here that the genius previous owner installed on the uppermost level of our house. It's completely useless up there. I haven't ran it in over 10 years. That room gets to 90 with it on low and since heat rises it does absolutely nothing for the rest of the house. Complete waste of money and space up there. If it wasn't 1.4 billion pounds I would've moved it downstairs years ago or sold it.
-
Thanks for all the advice and opinions guys....I read here alot and trust your opinions. I'm going to give her a few options and explain everything to her but I'm going to let her have the final decision. It's her money so I want them to be the ones she picked out.
-
Yeah....Those parrot's are a little much. She has $200 of her own money but after she shopped some she wants to look at her options. I'm actually proud of her for not just jumping on the beats because that's what everyone else has. She may end up with those but at least she's shopping. I was just curious if they're worth it or if good quality can be had for less.
