If I were to suggest one thing is every kid needs to go hunting. Shooting someone on a video game is one thing but to take a life, any life, is a huge thing and definitely gives you a greater appreciation for life and the gravity of taking one.

Why do people on the left type out novels and always make sure to get in the personal attacks? It's a common thing I see from most every liberal.

That's where it loses me. If you ban AR's now it's only a matter of time before other rifles get added then shotguns then pistols. Everyone wants to add the "except hunting guns" clause to the ban to get the hunters on the ban side but the truth is hunting calibers will get added. A properly motivated individual could do just as much damage with a 30-06 or 30-30 as an AR. Hell....a .22 and pocket full of magazines even. So when these whack jobs can't get an AR but can get something else what are they gonna use? How long before another gun gets banned....then another....ECT ECT. That's why I can never support the banning of any firearm. Personally I have no use for an AR because I can't hunt with it but just because I don't doesn't mean someone else shouldn't have one. For every nut that uses one to kill someone there are thousands of people that get enjoyment from just target shooting with one.

It bugs me when people lay so much blame on "kids these days". There are no bad kids....only bad parents. A kid only knows what they've been taught. If you want a certain behaviour from a kid then teachit to them. I have 3 and they are all 3 very good kids. I'm strict with all 3 and I do spank but honestly very rarely have to. My oldest son is 14 and it's been years since I've spanked him. My youngest is 5 and he gets one about once a year. It's a tool to teach. You don't have to beat them....just the act is enough. Think of a newspaper to a dog. Example. A month or two ago my 5 year old marked on the table with an ink pen. I gave him a little swat on the pants because he knew better. Later he told my older son the spanking didn't hurt and my older son told me. Not a big deal. I asked the 5 year old about it and he lied to me saying he didn't say that. After a few more questions he admitted to lying. He got another spanking only this time I made sure he would remember it. Not for saying the first one didn't hurt.....because he lied to me. I made sure he knew that was the reason. Bragging about something not hurting is no big deal....lying to me is something I won't tolerate. Tell the truth and all is well. I want my kids to tell me the truth no matter what and as long as they do that they have my support....always.

I won't be needing this after all. I stopped by my brother's after wrestling this evening and he actually had a really nice one in his basement he gave my son. Never knew he had it. Sorry.

there's a propane place out here I'm going to stop in and talk to......I usually fill my tanks at tractor supply because they're cheap and I've asked those guys. They had no idea. I'll go to surburban propane out here as they would probably know more than anyone. Just checking here to see if anyone has had it done or welder tanks recertified. I still have a year on the big tank to figure it out.

Yeah...that's what I do when my 20's get old and Trac or supply will swap 30's but I know of no place that will swap a 40. I'm just thinking someone somewhere has to recertify tanks.

Just out of curiosity.....is he sure the head gasket popped? Not that it doesn't happen but those motors are notorious for the intake gaskets leaking coolant. Just making sure he didn't see coolant and assume the head gasket is done. Edit....my bad. I saw 4.3 and was thinking the v6. I think you mean the 4.2 inline and I can't comment on those as I've never had one.

Anyone know a place that does that and roughly how much it costs? I have a few tanks that I need done. Two 30's from the camper and a 40.

It's single elimination and their first match is at 1:15 so in theory they could be done around 2:30. I wouldn't want to plan on that though so unless you're already going to be there I can wait until next weekend.

I would like to have that weight bench for my son. No way I can get up there this weekend. He's wrestling state all day tomorrow at OSU. If you still have it next weekend maybe we can get together then. If you get another taker before then by all means let them have it.

I'll do my arguing at the polls. I will say that the left and media has never given the guy a chance from day 1. Seems he's the only president I've seen in my lifetime that has the balls to do it and he's getting blasted for it. I voted for him and will do it again. The left and media (one and the same) keep telling me how shitty of a president he is. I don't see it. I haven't seen him do anything that's made this country worse off than it was the previous 8 years....no matter how much people try to convince me otherwise.

Truck prices are just out of hand. I would love to have another 2500 but at their prices I'll never own another one. Just can't swing a $75k truck.

those china gens aren't bad....just loud as hell. It's been a while since I've read up on them so things may have changed but when I bought my 5k one about 12-13 years ago there was only 1 or 2 china companies that built them under a whole shit ton of different names but the hardware in all of them was the same. I've had good luck with mine. Like I say....it's 12 or 13 years old and still runs like it's brand new. I've taken good care of it though and do the maintenance religiously on it and make sure it runs a couple times a year. Ideally you want to run them monthly but who has time for that shit? I'll run it every 6 months and that's about it. For the first 10 years I had it I put a ton of hours on it running my camper. It's so damn loud though I had to put it at the end of a 100' extension cord and then build a sound break in front of it. I got tired of that eventually and bought a champion 2k just for the camper. The bigger one is just for outtages at the house now. You can wire in a transfer switch for your main panel into the house to power whatever circuits you want. This is the way it's supposed to be done and probably the only legal way to do it. That being said......I've never done that. I back feed the box through the dryer breaker and send 110 to each leg. I throw the main to the house off so I don't back feed out to the pole. Like I say....not legal. Everytime I do it I swear by the next power outtage I'll have a xfer switch. I've even looked at them before but then start adding up costs and put it off. Those switches can get expensive.

Yeah....I read that too. Everyone here seems happy with the choice. There's really not a ton that blows you away.....it just does what it does really well. Fast as hell and Google assistant is not something I would've thought I liked or would use this much.

Ended up getting a pixel 2xl. Liked the note but wasn't a fan of the curved screen edge. My wife liked the pixel also so we got 3 of the xl's and the smaller pixel 2 for my daughter. Think we will be happy with them....time will tell. Definitely much faster than the turbo 2 I had but I imagine any new phone would be. I'll spend the next day or 2 setting it up and getting used to it. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to reply with advice and suggestions.

Thanks for taking the time to type all that out....very helpful. I did a lot of reading last night about it so I have a better understanding. I'm going to go look at them today. It's between the pixel 2xl and the note8. Sounds like I can't go wrong with either so I'll just have to hold both. We missed the BOGO deal for Samsung's so price will be a factor too.

I worked with a guy years ago that would split a roll a couple times a year with his brother. He said usually they'd see about 40% return on a roll. Those were $1 tickets and about 20 years ago.

Thanks....my wife was the one that saw that. Not sure how far she read into it. I'm going to look at it tonight. We're upgrading 4 phones so if we can buy 2 get 2 that'd probably be the way we'll go but I'll have to look at it.
