  1. No way that's true right? I looked at that picture and that sign looks photoshopped in there.
  2. Sorry if it's already been posted. First I've heard about it. buckeye lake sold
  3. I just take the cap off and let the car run then top it off and call it a day. Some cars will also have a bleeder on the stat housing. I see you're in somerset....I'm up near Lancaster on Rt22.
  4. for the 5.0 a carb was available? I can only find option codes for a carb'd 3.8L
  5. I wasn't aware of that.....I thought 86 was all efi. Thanks for the info though, I'll remember that from now on.
  6. 85 was the last year for carb's in the stangs the carbs were made my holley. You'll always hear arguments on both sides as to which is better. I personally prefer efi but I've owned carb'd cars too and it's all a matter of what you're used too. I had a 75 cutlass with a quadrajunk on it in high school. One of the best running cars I've ever owned.
  7. I remember once my dad told me if I brought my math grade up he would buy my buddies dirt bike for me. My buddy was selling a little 90c honda or something like that. I had like a D in math. I studied my ass off and got a B- the next quarter. Asked dad about the bike and not only did we not have the money for it, he'd forgot about even telling me that. I was a little pissed off 10 year old for a while.......still am.
  8. that'd have to be a nice ride on a bike. Last april when we went we took the last 2 days and drove up to zion park and stayed at a little town up there for a night. Absolutely incredible scenery up there. Everywhere you looked was a postcard picture.
  9. I do what I can. My point is they have bigger issues than car color.
  10. if you tint the windows though cali police won't be able to see who they're about to use the taser on before they pull them over. Not to mention it will totally wreck their profiling.
  11. the number 1 reason for horse killings in amish society.
  12. yep, thank god we have Texas to counteract the gayness.
  13. I wonder if N. Korea would give me a bomb if I promised to use it on California? I predict everyone in California will be riding horses before it's all said and done......and they'll still be getting emission tested.
  14. I kinda messed up with it. It has the "turbo" which is the twist style throttle and then the foot pedal. So basically you get 6v with the foot pedal and then twist the throttle to get the other 6. When I was painting it I took the throttle wires and soldered them together so now the foot pedal gives her all 12v. What I wish I would've done was wired it the other way so that the throttle gave all 12 and then reversed the brake wires in the foot pedal so that she had to push on the foot pedal to apply the brake. It would help her get used to riding the real thing a little easier when the time comes. That's been one of the challenges with my son riding the real thing. Getting him used to using the foot brake. He's pretty much got it now though after a month or so on it. I still don't recommend stepping out in front of him though.
  15. I've been threatening too for years. Just haven't got around to it and now my daughter needs a little more practice before I would up the juice. I know some have had luck running 24v through it but I've also read where 18v was much easier on them. My son rode the shit out of that thing for 3 years and now my daughter has it. Very good investment. I've been amazed at how durable they are.
  16. Got my boy(5) a 110 a month or two ago and my daughter (2) got his old 12v electric. They have a blast in the back yard on them. Ride them pretty much every day. When they get older I'd like to buy one for me and the wife and then we can all go riding. Growing up I always wanted a dirt bike or 3 wheeler ( back then 3 wheelers were the shit) but mom and dad never had the money. I swore that my kids would ride if at all possible so I made it happen. both together http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/008resized.jpg had to make the 12v hers so a couple cans of paint later and she has her own now http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/019copy.jpg
  17. you can buy a momentary switch and led and wire those in. As far as the other reasons I don't know what to tell you....either you want it or you don't I guess.
  18. My brother stopped into a dealership to get floor mats for his truck and was talking to someone that has a cobra. Wondered if it was anyone from here. He was in his red 06 GTO.
  19. you can maybe look into the throttle body with a flashlight and see if the intake walls are washed down with fuel. Those spiders are notorious for leaking. I agree with gearhead though, fuel pressure is the first thing you need to check. The stock pump in my 97 highrider sounded like another engine running back there. They're just loud. Have you fixed the intake leak on it yet? Pretty much all the intakes leak too at some point.
  20. how old is it? Is it a 6 wire or 7 wire ( the 6 wire has the serial connections)? I just installed mine last week. Do you have the calibration switch and led wired in (the kathode and pushbutton ground get tied together to ground and then the anode and pushbutton source get tied together and connect to the black calibration wire)? It's a pretty straight forward install but the grounds are very important. I made a junction block to ground everything in the same spot and then grounded that to the passenger side head. What gauge are you running with it? I have the db gauge. Blue to brown (analog 2), purple and black to ground, and red to 12v switched source. The analog 2 output is already set up to work with the db gauge ( 0v = 7.35 A/F and 5v = 22.39 A/F). If you have it hooked to your analog 1 ( yellow) wire that could be why your gauge is reading wrong because it's set up for narrow band out. You can always connect to it with logworks and program the outputs to whatever you need for the gauge.
  21. supposedly this picture goes with it.......it's the internet so who really knows. http://appledaily.atnext.com/images/apple-photos/apple/20090215/large/15cj5p.jpg
  22. well, I bought him one a couple weeks ago. I couldn't get past the price tag on the chinese quads. Bought this one new for $485....if it tears up I can buy 3 or 4 more and still be cheaper than a honda. He's been riding it for a couple weeks...just enough to have the yard tore all to hell. Loves it. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/023-2.jpg
  23. in defense of the good ole 4.3 trucks....mine has been put through hell for 11 years and still runs great. I just wouldn't recommend one to tow 5k lb trailers with. It's just not big enough for that. As far as the other stuff I don't think there's a vehicle made that doesn't have it's faults...they all do. My truck has 120k really hard miles on it and it's been a good truck.
  24. I would think if the explosion was violent enough to rip someone a new ass and kill them wouldn't there be blood on it?
