it's hit or miss with me and parts guys. Some know their stuff and some don't. I usually try to do all my homework prior to going if it's something I'm unsure about.
-
I had already left when all this happened but I'm curious......how much did the cleanup cost? I ask because at some point in time it could very easily be me.

that was a 12.10 pass. I ran that car a couple of times. He tree'd me pretty good one time (his r/t was .120 to my .469)and we ran door to door for most of the track and he beat me. Best run I had all day. I'm not sure what he ran most of the day. I think the 2 times he ran me he was running 12.4's.
-
when he came back with the camera he said " I'm not sure how much of it I got". I knew then I wasn't looking at feature film quality but damn......at least a few seconds on the car and board would've been nice. I've been laughing about it for 2 days now. I'm going to burn it to dvd and give it to him for x-mas.
-
I'm going to start calling him "tripod" as his new nickname.
-
my brother. He ran the camera for me on one of my runs. I'm not sure if he had a seizure or epileptic episode right as I staged but this is what I found when I got home.

you'll need the coolant crossover pipe and coolant plugs for the rear ports. thunder racing carries them.

Copied this from a website. Coca-Cola used to be made with sugar, but is now made with fructose corn syrup—except for Kosher Coke, that is. Kosher for Passover Coke is usually only in stores around Passover time. During Passover, the Jewish custom is not to eat food that contains leavening or leavening agents. Corn is on the list of prohibited foods. Passover Coke has to adhere to specially produced observing Kosher food preparation rules. A rabbi oversees the whole process. Many non-Jewish fans stock up on the Kosher Coke because they like the “original taste” of the sugared drink more than the taste when it’s made with corn syrup. Coca-Cola, however, says that there’s little or no difference in the taste. They sit in the middle of the expansive kosher section inside an area Kroger supermarket. Two-liter bottles of kosher for Passover Coke — and they're quickly disappearing from the shelves. "They're quite popular not just with Jews, but non-Jews as well," said Rabbi Alan Schwartz. (usatoday) I used to work for coca-cola (syrup plant). There's actually quite a bit of coke out there with sugar instead of HFCS. A few specific franchises get only sugar due to a lawsuit a bunch of years ago. I'm not sure what franchises get sugar sweetened coke but there are a few. HFCS is the bulk though, we went through 12 rail cars a day of the stuff. Diet coke is sweetened with aspartame.

12.02@113 with a 1.69 short time. Disappointed yet again. That cam is coming out over the winter and a bigger one is going in.

count your blessings and move on with your life. Glad it worked out for you.

what I meant was she was the prosecutor's main eye witness and I figured the defense would tear into her when they cross examined her.
-
I'm not a legal expert and only have my opinion really but I'll toss it out there. The prosecution is going into this case thinking they have an excellent case because they have an eye witness testifying that racing was the cause of the wreck. That's a pretty strong thing to overcome for the defense. What you'll see happen is the defense is going to dig through her life with a back hoe and then sift it with a fine toothed comb to discredit her. The fact she testified she lied to the insurance company will help the defense discredit the rest of what she said. Not to mention everything else they dig up on her. I feel bad for this guy. I don't know him but I know that he could easily be me or anyone I know at one point in our lives.

Schwarzenegger Schnauzer owns all http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/worlds-strongest-dog.jpg In all seriousness though I'd love to have a Cane Corso and any breed of mastiff.

We went to that P-51 show they had at Rickenbacker 2 years ago. Great show. I like airplanes but I don't know them enough to point out many. They had an F-22 there and I was blown away when they would do low altitude approaches that by the time you saw or heard it you would've been dead. I grew up near an airforce base down south and remember hearing booms as a kid. They would rattle the school windows.

I have 2...I think that's my nick at the bottom just spelled wrong. My brother just signed up last week as torridred but hasn't posted....he's been to drag days though and will be at the one on Friday. 06 GTO

who knows....there might be some girl out there in a black convertible that has a thing for guys in blue ford trucks, that hang out on craigslist, and can't spell license or convertible. She's probably even incredible gorgeous.

wow, you've definitely worn out your welcome with those things Where are your shift points? I worry about mine and I'm no where near your power level. I was thinking next winter of swapping out my stock bolts for some Katech's. I keep my shift points low because those damn rod bolts are always in the back of my mind.
-
hey Anthony, are you still on stock rod bolts? Nice numbers. I guess I wasn't aware you were still on the stock bottom end. That's impressive.

I thought about that after I replied and if it was the hose most likely it would be a very slow bleed down....any sizeable crack probably wouldn't let the pump prime up to begin with.
-
I also would check the hoses in the tank too. If those are cracked it'll let pressure bleed down also.
-
that's a sign the regulator is done.....it should hold that pressure.
-
I have a real cheap self bleeder. I'd like to get a better one at some point. Pedal is good so I'll see how it goes. I went with an SLP line lock on the f-body.....if I had it to do over again or if I put one on the goat it's going to be an SJM next time around. Not very impressed with the SLP version.

Anyone gravity bleed brakes? I finished up a line lock install yesterday and thought I'd give it a try. I gravity bled it from the master to the solenoid. I've always bled brakes the old fashioned way with someone pumping them. I have a little cheap self bleeder but that things a POS and more trouble than it's worth. The pedal feels fine and the test run went fine but I'm wondering about a bubble being in the line and biting me in the ass later. Should I just pull the wheels and have the wife work the pedal and do it the old fashioned way? Not sure if you guys have your wives help you with the car but mine is a bitch to work with.
-
I did a brake job on a sentra or some POS like that last summer.....one of the rotors kicked my ass from start to finish. I've never had to beat one off that much. I've had to beat them off but this thing was special. I had a small sledge beating the piss out of that thing. When it finally did come off I felt like mounting it on the wall somewhere. I didn't think I was ever going to get it. I knew I was in trouble on that car when I pulled one of the calipers off and the inside pad was gone..... I don't mean gone as in "wore all the way down". I mean gone as in missing. The piston itself was what was stopping the car. This chick hauled her kids around in that car. Anyhow, just soak it with PB Blaster, put a good "beat the shit out of something" song on the radio, pick up your favorite BFH, and fire away. It'll come off eventually.

What about that venturi line? Did you look those lines over for cracks and kinks? Pretty common for those lines to crack and get kinked like Gearhead and Hal said.
