  1. 355-series is definitely the widest street tire I've ever heard of.
  2. There are a couple of modded Caliber SRT-4's that show up to CC&C, so there is a fan base out there. However, Calibers are HORRIBLY engineered and packaged vehicles. You'd be better off finding a PT Cruiser Turbo for dirt cheap and modding that.
  3. I'm reminded of other products/services that know their role, but warn against it anyway...
  4. Rick, sorry to hear this as we talked about it over the weekend. This thing has spiraled down in price to the point of pulling it from the market and relisting it once vacation season is over (give it a month). Any reason why you wouldn't just keep DD'ing it, aside from thinning the herd? I realize you'd have to store it over the winter as you drive your truck... EDIT: I'm with you in loving the Impala SS. This was an attainable "dream-car" of mine back in high-school (where I also drooled over the Syclone/Typhoon in addition to the Japanese supercars of the mid-late '90s) that I'd still be very interested in myself had it not been for the CTS-V.
  5. It was Saturday night. I was surprised that NO ONE I knew went to it.
  6. Isn't dry-firing a big no-no? Are you saying to practice handling your gun around the house, unloaded of course, to make sure you're comfortable retrieving it and moving around? I hardly handle my gun outside of a range!
  7. Jay said something that made me think... As cool as carbon fiber is, is it really worth $70K+ to get rid of 600lbs? Can you not get better suspension/powertrain/braking/tire mods to get the same benefit? Like, I see how the carbon fiber wheels greatly minimize unsprung weight. That's why Ford developed them. But, for a few thousand would carbon-fiber control arms, or strut tower bracing, etc...be a good blend of lightening for not a lot of $$$?
  8. Wow. Sorry to hear. EDIT: not to be insensitive, but your S10 is a pretty loud truck, I take it. Did no one hear it when it was fired up?
  9. I appreciate that sort of thing, where existing metal can still reign supreme on the street/track. I forget where I read the article, but in conjunction with the release of the new XC90 last year, Volvo retested an original (first-gen) Volvo XC90 for 2016 crash standards. It still scored 4-5 stars, better than all of the competition except for the Tesla Model X. You know you've got a great vehicle when it's still kicking a$$ against new-comers.
  10. I just saw a black Civic Type R in Cleveland on I-90 Friday morning...then saw one at CC&C and a blue one on Fishinger and Riverside. Looks like Honda's making deliveries! I will say, it is the busiest styling I've ever seen on a production car, but it really does come together well in person. I'd like to drive one sometime as it is a bit of a letdown knowing it's FWD. Similar to Benjamin's Mustang, I'm guessing that some 5-10mm wheel spacers would do wonders for the factory wheels making the car look better. Nice pics! I like the little details captured in your shots.
  11. Anyone from Columbus area driving out tonight to the Newark meet? Cruise anyone?
  12. Wow...Photobucket is fucking with a lot of people... Anyway, Roadkill made me think of your car....
  13. It's 2,300 sq ft...that's about right for our neck of the woods too!
  14. I had Fidelity and it was a good trading program, but I realized over the last couple of years that I don't want to be picking stocks anymore. Just switched to Merrill Edge. Guided Investment (robotrade, low fee) platform will hopefully do a better job in equity/ETF picks. Super easy to set up and fund via transfer.
  15. Brian, I remember when that failed at City Council by a 5-4 vote, and I gave one of the guys crap for it. Not sure if the state trumps city. I'll do some digging as I have time.
  16. Ever since we missed out on this>>>http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125193&highlight=bounder deal last year, my wife has been dropping hints on doing a motorhome trip out west. She loves the idea of walking around the RV, sleeping, eating, doing all that stuff while we're rolling down the road. Craig has some great points above. I also agree with JP: we're looking at renting something in 2018. Unless it's a decently-maintained RV for sub $15k, it just doesn't make sense to buy one unless you use it at least once a month. If your lifestyle affords you the ability to get by with a pop-up or a teardrop, seems to me like a solid investment. If anyone was at Crowne Plaza parking lot at Goodguys last weekend (or last year), there's this local guy named Mike that set up a "tiki hut" using an LED-decorated 2015 Shasta trailer like this... http://roamingtimes.com/2015/11/10/2015-shasta-airflyte-16-reissue-travel-trailer/ He was a SUPER nice guy and let me look around inside. It was really well done, looking retro but with all the modern conveniences. I think he said you can buy one for less than $15k. Seemed super cool. Good luck! Keep us in the loop on your decisioning! I camp 3x a year with each of my kids for Indian Guides and Indian Princesses. YMCA cabin stuff, but I do love the wilderness Ohio has to offer.
  17. Thank you. In Cleveland through tomorrow but will try to check it out.
  18. Makes me nervous that the fiberglass body is cracked in multiple places and hasn't even been INSTALLED YET. If you did this, you'd have to commission Tinman to make equal-length headers for that LS1...
  19. Please don't lump me in with everyone else. I made a short-sighted comment about how I feel the ACA is viewed in my social- and business-circles, and Kerry ripped it apart. I'm good. No more comments out of me.
  20. No one is going to deny Obamacare is garbage. The only thing supporters tout is the "millions of people now covered through health insurance", despite sweeping the huge impact to insurance/medical providers from a profitability and servicing standpoint. However, for Trump to imply that his team had a better plan through Repeal and Replace was a boldfaced lie.
  21. Seriously...if John Oliver and his staff are wrong, how do they package it so deceptively alluring to watch and believe?
  22. Trump supporters will focus on the attorney NOT being a "foreign national", or that no material information was exchanged. The fact that T Jr. tweeted the exchange? http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/559/963/385.gif
  23. First off, GREATEST. CL. DESCRIPTION. EVAR. Secondly, well played, Kerry....well played. Thirdly, I find it interesting that THAT THING is in Columbus, OH. It needs to come out to CC&C stat.
