  1. Nickey sent me that Blipshift shirt. I geeked out like a nerd and ordered one instantly. Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. Was out of town this weekend and the last two days were cray. Hope to get some updates in the next day or so...have all the parts I need...
  2. Mitchell's is garbage. Was there for Fathers Day and the service blew goats, especially considering the supposed pedigree and pricing. Eddie Merlot's or Hudson 29 are great for me. Love that I can get a great piece of meat at H29 and an awesome sushi roll to start with at the same meal. I'm curious how the Avenue Tavern is...
  3. Thanks, man. I appreciate it... Since following your build thread I had a bookmark in my head just in case you put it up for sale. I absolutely love 944s, but I need working A/C and my 318 is a great beat-about 4cyl car already. GLWS!
  4. AWESOME PROGRESS! Love following these developments.
  5. I've done brake lines on the Lincoln and my old trucks, as well as cars in my college days for myself and my friends. Thanks for the points, guys. As much as I appreciate doing things myself, I'm just not going to come down to FL to lie on my back and redo brake lines. If it was a kit...then I'd definitely get some flare wrenches and go to town, let the shop bleed the brakes. As such, I'll have the shop do it all. Will wait until Monday, as I'll be back in OH and let my wife deal with it.
  6. I got an even more redneck idea.... In a city where I don't ever go over 60mph, can I just cut the rear drum brakes off and crimp the hard line? Drive it with use of only the front disc brakes? It's a beach car...just covering all the options
  7. I have an '04 Cavalier LS Sport 4dr I bought from a neighbor in UA and drove down to FL to stay at our condo. It's only got 110k Miles and runs great. While visiting in April, a rear hard brake line burst and leaked, but slowly. I drove it to a shop where they repaired it for $100. Unfortunately, he said all the brake lines are very rusty, and to replace everything would be about $500. Is there any good website that offers either pre-bent brakes for a Cavalier, or at least all the hard lines and I can bend them myself? Or from experience, is it better to just have a shop do it for that price? Obviously, I hate to spend that much money on something I should've done myself when I had the car in OH. However, my tools down here are limited. Thanks!
  8. So.....just another normal day for Goodale Park, then? Lé Gabe Face. :gabe:
  9. I know a guy with a dead Fiero... Any chance you can get the ECU and engine/trams wiring harness or is the car gone?
  10. By the way, did anyone notice episodes of Roadkill are now on Netflix?
  11. I may have to get a Stubby Bob T-shirt (or that Nascarlo one). I was doing it to the wife last night and made her call me "Stubby Bob". That's when things got REALLY weird. :fa::fa:
  12. I find that list interesting - some of the protests are at government buildings? This stuff all sounds wacky. At least Columbus' will be at the same site as Comfest
  13. As a kid who grew up Atari 2600 > Nintendo (NES) > Super Nintendo (SNES), I'd first like to say that Sega can suck it. Secondly, this is an adorbs throwback loaded with some great games that I'd love to play. Lastly, I have no desire to own one of these things, though it may be cool to have one for my kids. However, any gaming I do is through my phone these days. http://gizmodo.com/nintendos-new-console-is-just-adorable-1783661792
  14. That was brought up yesterday... They think it was a Chinese satellite?
  15. Well, was your compressor 20' behind you in a trunk? Because my Lincoln is fucking huge.
  16. The only thing I'm hopeful for around vibration (since I've already mounted the compressors) is that there is a s**tton of insulation around the carpet and rubber Dynamat-like material. This thing was well-insulated from the factory in 1978 and everything is in great condition. May just get some more Dynamat and mount it around the compressors...see how that works.
  17. Holy shit...I didn't think about going from 4 into 1 BIGGER line...I've seen people who did 4-2-1 holding onto 3/8" or 1/4" line, and I would think that restricts CFM at least up to the switches. I know 1/4" is small, but I did the 4 lines figuring at least the switches would get maximum volume. I also didn't think about the isolator mounts. It would make sense given the difficulty we had in mounting them to the Lincoln. I was on my garage floor for almost an hour for 8 bolts If I did the Isolators, I could swap out compressors without laying on the ground. I bought 100' of 1/4" line, but I'm realizing I will probably need all of that just for the switches to the bags, at least 60' assuming I don't make cutting McSteaks. :fa: Thanks again for the idea, I may see if I can get some adapters and 1/2" line. Good call about the water seperators as well, guys. I'm assuming you're talking about in-line between each compressor and the tank, on right and left sides as seen in the picture?
  18. These are great shows to pop in for on a Friday night. My kids love it.
  19. Can it wait until next week? I've done front wheel bearings (axle-through), spindle-mount bearings...I have new bearings for the front of my BMW E36, can do yours as well I guess...I'm just not available until next week.
  20. http://imgur.com/sT4yC1al.jpg http://imgur.com/VJk7Y1il.jpg http://imgur.com/BRZX2TQl.jpg Andrew, I totally hear your complaints. Was getting a little nervous about all the tubing needed to make all of this work over the weekend. I priced some Accuair V2 systems, and determined I'll stick with the manual valves for now. I have a 50' reel of DOT air line...which would be fine if I was 'bagging a Smart Car. I ordered another 100' so I can get from the tank to the switches (all 4 bags will get their own dedicated line from the tank to their switch), then to the bags themselves. Also ordered 25' of 4ga wire to take power from the battery to the trunk. This is a LONG CAR, so I want to make sure I'm not dealing with too much voltage drop over 20' of wire to the compressors! Next up will be cleaning up the trunk, laying the carpet back down, and permanently bolting the tank and compressors in place. Then, running power/air lines, and testing the system for leak-free pressure to the switches/gauges. After that, I'll be measuring the cups for air-bag installation.
  21. Man, that Vizio sound bar went from 96% claimed to 100% in a few minutes...
  22. Let me go shut down our office servers and turn them back on again, Rymer...
  23. http://www.autotrader.com/ Not that I'm in the market for another car , but Autotrader seems like a serious site to be experiencing downtime mid-day. Anyone else seeing this?
  24. I know we seem very clique-ish, but Joe did a class just for myself and my extended adult family members. He was awesome. My SiL spoke to Joe a few times afterwards when she was handgun-shopping. I'm not saying Joe and Howard are the best, but I absolutely recommend them to anyone I respect...they will do a wonderful, thorough, personalized job training you. It's clearly a passion of theirs as intelligent, responsible adults.
