Since you're equating the Dems to Trump's outrageous claims, I would say the burden of proof is on you to produce articles/data that supports your side. Quite frankly, you're back-tracking by saying essentially "well maybe it's not Joe but it's his handlers!!1!1" I'm not a fan of Biden, but in all the attention I've paid to this crucial election I cannot remember Dems so concerned about ballot process like Trump and his surrogates have crowed about. ...and if there's anything the last 4 years have pissed me off more as a Trump voter, it's this sort of gaslighting, dog-whistle shit that gets people fired up with no support of evidence. Even now that Hunter Biden is in the spotlight, his offenses PALE in comparison to what the Trump organization has done with his enterprise and properties since Donnie's been in office.

Yeah, that's a stretch. People were upset by the Trump victory - even after Hillary won the popular vote - but being upset at a loss and "questioning the results" is just not true. Many of my Dem friends have never sowed seeds of doubt in the political process, just trying to learn from it to beat Trump in 2020.

I clicked on Jalopnik just now for a Torchinsky update (first time I've gone on the site in over a week) and they must've done something with both the layout, and the ads. Much easier to navigate and read articles without too much ad interference.

Nope, i'm calling you out: show me EXACTLY where I've posted what you're describing. If I pile on anyone, it's Trump. Supposedly, he's a tough guy and can take it.

LOL @ Trumpers still talking about Hunter Biden. "Lock HER Up" didn't work either. :gabe: My wife gets multiple emails from every campaign surrogate of Trump's...it's ridic. Sarah Huckabee Sanders just asked her to send $$$. They are getting desperate. Sad! https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-vs-obama-better-record-213240065.html https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-fans-left-stranded-by-the-hundreds-at-freezing-nebraska-airfield-after-rally

The factory '75 dizzy is already inductive pickup...I guess that should work as long as the Mopar ignition modules hold up.

Thanks for the quick responses, guys! https://www.speedwaymotors.com/shop/holley-sniper-chrysler-small-block-v8~131073-11665-9 Is there a distributor option that's worth waiting for, like the SBC/BBC kits? Kinda sucks to spend $1300+$400 for an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold and still have the factory dizzy.

The '75 Dodge RV is going under the knife this winter. Wifey-approved for some interior and mechanical upgrades to make it more enjoyable and functional in the coming years. Three big powertrain problems with this thing: 1) oil leaks, 2) R12 A/C needs converted, and the Big 3) The Holley 2245 2bbl carb is a piece of junk. I'm always trying to keep things within a reasonable budget, but this long-term family hauler is OK for some $$ upgrades if it makes sense. I am going to have to install a new fuel tank to get better range, and if I'm going to make a carb-to-EFI conversion I want to decide that beforehand in case the new tank needs fuel-return provisions, in-tank fuel pump, etc... 1) Keep the 2BBL + cheapest, easiest mod. Just get a more common Holley 2300 or similar, no fuel mods, throttle mods, etc. - Low HP, no towing/elevation improvement if we get a tow-behind or go out West (both conversations we're having) 2) Go 4BBL carb + Solves drivability issues over 2BBL, Boost in power (40hp) with not a lot of other mods. - Fuel economy, big step-up in cost, full intake changes 3) Go EFI + Best drivability/efficiency improvement, should be ideal power relative to air-fuel ratio. - cost,cost,cost...and maximum modifications (engine intake, fuel lines, tank, wiring, etc) I had a 1st-gen Holley ProJection EFI that I sold, as the P.O. had it on the RV back in the '90s for less than a year and went back to carb. This is not a classic musclecar; i'm not driving it often and I don't know if the cost for EFI is worth it. If I can get a good Edelbrock or Holley 4BBL carb/intake setup for less than $600-700, that definitely seems to make the most sense to solve 2BBL issues and add power. To put away the nuclear option: the 360 runs really well and the P.O. put some good work into it over the years, including long-tubes. An engine swap is out of the question for this stage of ownership. :gabe: Just curious if anyone out there is swearing by the Holley EFI or FITech systems over carbs for a weekend cruiser enough to recommend them. We've certainly gotten to a great place in the aftermarket where EFI and max tunability can be had for less than $1500.

No. Abolishment of the electoral college is too extreme considering we still have basic issues with voter turnout, whether it's sufficient polling locations or ambivalence by eligible voters. If this much passion around an election, as shown so far with early voting in 2020, highlights issues with the electoral college that can be fixed through bipartisan work AFTER the votes are tallied, then I'm all for it.

The gaslighting is impressive. Every. Business. Publication. talks about how tariffs didn't work for farmers, hurt the economy, and COVID has gutted small businesses across the country. Tax breaks help in the short term but massively accelerated long-term deficits. USMCA and trade deals aren't working, and U.S. nationalism has isolated us from global business alliances that are leaving us behind. Yet, many people just want to keep believing that Trump is standing up hard against China and Russia, that he's got a healthcare plan, massive economic plans, etc etc. Perception is truly reality in the U.S. today, and Trump is winning hearts and minds over Biden. I believe that Trump's going to pull this off and get a 2nd term, but it's going to be through electoral college (like his win over Hillary in 2016, despite being almost 3MM votes behind her) or by Supreme Court decision with Barr's support. He's NOT going to win by popular vote. It's going to be through heartland states still going for Trump.https://www.nytimes.com/elections/2016/results/president I for one think Trump's pressed every button and pulled every easy string he could grab to keep success going for the U.S. economy. I truly don't think he's going to do much his 2nd term as he'll either be golfing or resilient to do the hard work to reach across the aisle to people he's burned in the past to get bipartisan support on new legislature for meaningful, long-term change. He's going to keep owning easy wins, downplaying problems, and talking about 2016 promises he's still not going to deliver on. Surprised Tim hasn't chimed in, considering the comments of his I see on FB. :gabe:

https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/politics/a25053571/donald-trump-make-america-great-again-slogan-origin/ Trump didn't come up with MAGA...he just weaponized it. Biden should've trolled everyone and started making blue MAGA hats. :gabe:

Holy shit. Anyone thinks this is NOT a good buy? POS with cheap guts that'll break next year?

I like Larry (AMMO NYC) and his passion for cleaning cars. This is crazy how detailed the graphics look, and I can't believe the level of gameplay for a concept like this. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1433570/Car_Detailing_Simulator/ Also makes me chuckle that 99% of people playing this game will either not own a car, or have a dirty/rusty POS out in their driveway while they spend hours polishing a virtual car they'll never own. :gabe:

Yesterday, I drive up to Sunbury, then East on Rt-61(?) past 36 all the way out to Thornville. Today, I drove Post Rd through Plain City. I was amazed at the Trump s igns, flags, banners. Etc...I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Amazing how country folk love their God, guns, and freedom.

I don't see Biden parading around anywhere, especially with the heat on Hunter. A specific criticism of Biden has been his absence on the campaign trail. I'm confident Biden doesn't actually WANT to be President as much as Trump did back in 2016. However, the hypocrisy that Trump supporters are showing right now is laughable, like anyone is surprised at corruption. Right now, there's articles published this weekend that say Trump's organization has received more than $5 million from China while Trump's been prez...let alone all the emolument-lite benefits that Trump real estate and business lines has benefitted from. It's no wonder he's not sharing his tax returns. $HEEEEIT...I see ads for a Space Force $2 bill endorsed by Trump, and FoxNews hypes Trump products on commercials. Politicians make money while in public office, and no surprise "a Washington outsider" like Trump does the same thing. <<<<<Voted for Trump, but sometime we're going to have to pay the piper on taxes. That dented can keeps getting kicked down the road. For a President that said he'd balance the budget and drain the swamp... promises made promises kept LOL. TL;DR: I support Trump as our President, but he's a shitshow and everyone talking about how great he is avoids facts and chooses to ignore the bigger problems we have.

FWIW, Trump has lied on many occasions about his foreign business dealings before and during his presidency.

My '01 Silverado V6 has been a perfect basic truck for me: easy to work on, parts are ridiculously cheap, and modern enough to have ABS, airbags, modern front suspension/steering while still hauling truck-stuff. Plenty of HP/TQ for around-town duties. V8 is great, but if you have a good-condition 6-cylinder I'd rock it all day long.
-
The two I had, the bushings in the shifter linkage were worn out. Even squirting grease didn't help with the binding. The Chevy was super vague as well. At the time, for $50 and a Saturday's worth of cutting a hole in the floor and bolting the 3-speed shifter to the back of the trans, it made a 10x improvement on shifting and whatever fun you get out of driving these old steel trucks. Plus it just makes a bench-seat, rubber floormat base truck look a lot more sporty (a big deal when you're a hundredaire trying to spruce up a $500-900 tee-ruck)
-
So...you want to see change, but you'll vote Trump because you don't want change.:gabe:
-
Having dealt with this concern with both V6 and I6 trucks and thinking about a "simple" V8 engine/trans swap...if you go any newer with a swap kit (which you'd have to in order to get a 4-, 5-, or 6-speed manual) you'll likely have to swap out the Z-linkage for clutch engagement to a hydraulic throw-out bearing. It ends up being very doable, but it's more cost/effort than you'd think and I ended up just sticking with the 6-cylinders as these were casual trucks....nothing I was going to race or be competitive in motorsports.
-
I had an '85 Chevy C10 with a 4.3L V6 and 3-on-the-tree, and '82 Ford F100 that Otis Nice bought. Both of them I converted to 3-speed manuals on the floor. It's been YEARS since I did both trucks but it was a fun project...not the worst thanks to these full-size trucks being pretty open to work on. However, I just looked on eBay and what used to be a $50-100 kit through Hurst or Mr. Gasket is now a $250-300 kit!!!!! F that noise...I'd rather wait until a factory floor-shift manual comes up for sale.

Agreed with most of the feedback here. It's not that I'm a targeted consumer for GMC, but I dig the engineering and GM needs to lease/sell as many as they can build to get the price down and make other products possible for us to afford and drive.

....aaand the $112k Edition 1 sold out in 10 minutes.

The thing most disappointing is hearing adults, with the right to vote, saying they won't vote for any candidate. You are voluntarily lumping yourself in with felons and mofos found incompetent in a court of law.
