  1. LOOKIT ME! I'M DRIVING NORF ON 23! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d7/Hard_Drivin_arcade_flyer.jpg/256px-Hard_Drivin_arcade_flyer.jpg SOOO REEEEAL!!!
  2. LOL @ "Hard Drivin'" video simulation. I predict 50 years from now, our children and grandchildren will look back and wonder why the hell we built all of these roads. At least 50% of them will work from home. I guess the population center of Columbus is moving further and further northward anyway.
  3. Awww...LamboPower finally wisened up and made their forum password-protected.
  4. If you guys are still going to HD on Sawmill Fri/Sat nights, this is damn near next door. Watch the pre-gaming, ladies...I was told that Dublin PD and private security will boot out anyone (paid inside or not-yet-paid in line) that even looks like they'll be trouble. EDIT: If you DID go to a bar afterwards, it's right around the corner from Donerick's by the Dublin AMC 18 theater, Applebees is across the lot, and Flanagans is across Sawmill. Just to show I'm not such a stick-in-the-mud.
  5. Hope to hear reviews from those of you that come out. They're on Facebook (even though I'm not!), so like them for discounts and updates. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I'll be working tomorrow night and Sunday!
  6. Between vodka in the eyes and alcohol enemas, I'm officially grossed out. I like the more "natural" absorption of plant-based alcoholic beverages from consumption and filtration in the digestive system. Call me old-fashioned.
  7. http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.net 8am to 12pm - Cup O'Joe, Lennox Town Center We're still going strong, 70degrees and sunny... Looking for a great turnout without the OSU gameday traffic!

    GOON

Holy fucking shit...I'm dying. My older brother recommend this movie. I wish I was drunk. Funniest movie I've seen in awhile. HIGHLANDERS...GAY PORN HAAAARD!!!!
  9. Hate to agree with Paul, but I had another fun-filled conversation with Papaw. He's full of fun sayings, and unrealistic expectations of a Corvette that has Target seat covers and faded black paint. It's free or not at all now...
  10. Impressive to say the least. In on page 1 before people make D.Wiggs comments...
  11. I remember the red one...the paint was in rough shape and the bumpers were cracked. The engine was in dicey condition as well, funky wheels, and it was an automatic. EDIT: Plus it had the dookie Cross-Fire V8! At least the '85 in stock form has better suspension, a Dana 44 rearend, and TPI V8... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91954&highlight=1984+corvette
  12. If I can get it up here (price and shipping) for $750, I should be able to flip it in the spring for $1250 as a runner/driver that needs engine work. I'm already putting it out there, CR! Or...do an LS1 swap! After rebuilding the inline-six in my Ford F-100, I'll probably never rebuild again. The idea of a used 350hp (w/ bolt-ons) LSx in a 2,900lb car sounds like something I can have fun with while I still look at doing a Factory Five Cobra down the road...
  13. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106590 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106862 I just got off the phone with my grandfather-in-law, Papaw Bill, down in St. Albans, WV. He's got my FIL's old 1985 Corvette, and as referenced in the threads above he's had quite the time getting it running right by a shop he can trust. My mom-in-law enlisted my help. Long story short, the 150k-mile 'Vette likely needs an engine overhaul at best. It's been in the family since new. Capital Towing quoted me less than $450 to go grab it from WV, but I'm wondering if it's worth it, even if I could get it for FREE. I do love me some black-on-black Corvettes, though... I look at it from the standpoint of an LSx-swap candidate to keep, or freshen it up over the winter and flip it in the spring...
  14. http://www.hollywoodcolumbus.com/Casino Go twice with $250 at a time, enjoy free food and drinks, and you might get out ahead! At least you'll enjoy fresh oxygen pumped into the gaming rooms and have a good time!
  15. WHAAAAT??? Who is this smart guy posting earlier in this thread? My wife wanted a Ford Flex in a bad way, and I loved the Ecoboost idea. Awesome ride. Still love it to this day. The problem is nothing touches a minivan for all around versatility. It just does everything really well (cargo hauling, people hauling, fuel economy, comfort, towing, ease of driveabilty, cost of maintenance) in one vehicular solution. I took a tandem jogging-stroller to the New Albany Classic last weekend. I was pressed for time, and I couldn't figure out how to fold it down. FUGGIT, I said, and threw it in the back of our Odyssey...bish swallowed it whole and I still had room for a few kids from church. You can't do that in a CUV!
  16. +100. If your wife is going to be hauling cakes, kids, cakes+kids at the same time, cakes+workers at the same time, just get a minivan. In fact, get a cheaper Chrysler T&C, and use the money saved to do a vinyl wrap on it. Advertising and transportation??? tax-deductible business expense writeoff!!!
  17. The Journey is a better vehicle...much better than a Nitro.
  18. Wow. I'm not a drag race fan, but that pass was badass. Hat tip and a golf clap to you, sir!

  21. http://www.columbushauntedhouse.com or http://www.scareatorium.com After having a great time last year visiting this place on more than one occasion... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96954&highlight=scare-a-torium ...and much to the enjoyment of my daughter, I auditioned and will be working for the Scare-A-Torium this year. If you're planning on visiting a haunted house this year, please check us out! I'm very impressed with the quality people I'll be working with, and the couple that runs it are great as well. Can't say that being an actor in a haunted house was on my "bucket list", but my daughter is really happy that her daddy will be scaring people. It's a family-friendly attraction: Unlike the Hoochie, no one touches you. If you're nervous about going through for the first time, there are "flashlight tours" where the actors won't jump out at you if you want to go through and see both haunts at night. Otherwise, you can do what we did, and go on Sundays for a totally "lights-on" tour and see the decorations and meet some of the actors. It's definitely not the haunted houses that I remember from college...and that's a good thing! If you like to be scared, there are numerous enhancements that will definitely get you. On any given night, there are over 50 actors in 55 different scenes! This weekend is the season opener, and keep an eye out on Fox 28 for a feature. Also, next weekend's Columbus Dispatch will have a cover story in the weekend insert. Thanks for letting me plug my new part-time employer.
  22. I was expecting a Scooby variant. It's ST1, as in ONE.
  23. Bought our Passat new in '00. 15 more years and your Camaro will be eligible for HISTORIC PLATES: the new standard of ownership by which I measure all vehicles in Ohio.
  24. There is a class action suit going on against CAMCAR and Shamrock charging ineligible fees (payment processing, etc...) that you might look into. That said, $143 sounds about gape.
