  1. FIL agrees with you. He said its not worth it, even at the low low cost of FREE.
  2. We got a Keurig last Christmas, and between work and home I love the convenience and choices you get. Plus, my wife doesn't drink coffee, but does enjoy chai tea lattes. Therefore, we can get two different choices at the same time with hardly any waste.
  3. He would trade it in to Bobby Layman, or Papaw Bill will buy it from him. Maybe I'll get the '85 Corvette Papaw's got in return It's a Corvette extended family.
  4. For what my FIL currently does with his Z06, the 436hp Grand Sport will be more than adequate. He's got 70k miles of DD duty less than 4 miles each way between UA and Riverside Hospital. 400hp in the Z06 and I think I may have been the only one to have taken it above 130mph ONCE.
  5. http://pickocc.org/publications/natural_gas/Comparing_Your_Energy_Choices_COH.pdf I've been getting letters in the mail, enticing me to "hedge" my natty gas prices through the winter. Is anyone else doing this or looking into it? For a medium-sized suburban home, I use a good amount of heat. However, current rates are around $0.41- $0.42 a CCF, and IGS Energy for example want's $0.589 per CCF??? I can't imagine the way NatGas is being extracted and inventoried in this part of the country that it's going to go THAT high. Truthfully, I don't know what I'm currently paying through Columbia Gas.
  6. Came here to post this. ...and networking. Call buddies that you remember from way back, see if they're hiring or know anyone who is. Often, really good jobs are given to those that keep in touch with internal sources and employees. I may or may not have gotten a job in the past, even though it wasn't posted online until the day I was told to look for it, and apply! Many major decisions are done before the job even posts to a public forum like job boards or company website...
  7. Where's the diaphragm? Fuel injected, no mechanical pump?
  8. My grandfather in law is having problems with his 85 Corvette I referred to in another thread. Apparently, it sat for awhile and the fuel went bad. The fuel pump was replaced three times before my GFIL realized bad gas was likely killing everything. A shop eventually got the thing running, but it naturally ran like shit. He noticed after driving it that the oil level got really black really fast, and the oil level actually rose. It smelled like gas, and he's convinced that raw fuel is making its way into the oil. The only way that I think raw fuel is being dumped into the oil, is from an intake manifold gasket that had been replaced...if it is leaking somehow, then maybe more than one fuel injector could be stuck open from bad gas, and the combination of problems is allowing too much fuel into the intake runner and past a bad intake gasket, into the lifter valley and crankcase??? He had the heads milled and some "porous" parts of the heads welded and fixed. Sounds like a fucking mess of a maintenance job. Any thoughts how gas gets into oil would be appreciated!
  9. M father in law is looking at a 2011 Grand Sport convertible to replace his 2002 Z06. Very low mileage but he wants to make sure he's not buying a problem year. It's got the magnetic suspension, fully loaded...very nice ride. Anything to look out for?
  10. aUGGH!!! Engorged for the CTS-V wagon. lOVE IT!
  11. Good to see you guys. Some nice cars on your side of the lot!

  13. If Kevan (1cebtn Viper) is there early, I think he'll bring cones to mark off the first row or so. I'll try to get there early as well...depends on when my daughter wakes up!
  14. Since 2006, the only three Jeeps worth anything are the Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, and Patriot. Compass, Liberty, Commander, and all other Chrysler platform variants DIAF. I'd almost say the Liberty CRD would be cool but it wasn't available in a stick and you would still be driving a Liberty. Yes, drove a co-workers on a long trip, as well as a couple of rentals over the years. Shockingly small amount of interior room. Only use for Liberty/Nitro is for poor soccer moms that insist in form over function, wanting to own an SUV at any price though they can't afford a better ride. Minivan FTW.
  15. http://www.worldcarfree.net/wcfd/ I hope this catches on! Less traffic for me as I own the road. :gabe:

  18. I would emphasize the most basic of tenants which is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Another good thing to check out is property millage rates by school district: http://tax.ohio.gov/divisions/tax_analysis/tax_data_series/publications_tds_property.stm Of course, school districts matter for your family, as well as anyone who may want to buy your house down the road. Dublin, UA, New Albany are always top performers in Columbus... http://www.dispatch.com/content/pages/data/school-education/school-rankings/school-district-rankings.html?appSession=577322334197871&cbSearchAgain=true

    Chick-fil-a

Chick Fil-A has delicious, freshly-prepared chicken sandwiches, fries and milkshakes, and I've always been treated really well when I go there. Plus, the kids' meals are healthy with fresh fruit and educational toys. I still see gay and straight people using Apple products...apparently the blatent human rights violations going on in China aren't important to them. HYPOCRITICAL SOCIAL-AGENDA CRITIQUES LOL.
  20. Would you could you? http://www.autoblog.com/2012/09/20/2013-fiat-strada-first-drive-review/ I love the idea, and this would probably be a very successful niche for the U.S. I know Chevy is bringing their "global" unibody-based Colorado to the States... Not for me, though. If it realistically got 45+MPG with a diesel/stick powertrain, I might consider it, as you could put a hitch on the back and tow bulkier loads with a HF trailer. However, cheap pickups rule.
