  1. You don't have to answer my last question. You drive a Challenger...that answers it for me.
  2. Looks like I nailed the "Who is looking stupid" comment. Brandon, I'm sure you're tired from playing with all the little boys in Thailand. Try using that lame shit on someone else. Are you backing up Trump so hard because he's the President of your "small hands, tiny mushroom penis" fan club? Serious question.
  3. There's only on person looking stupid on this page, and he just got back from Thailand. If Trump is such a smooth operator, how can so many people HE PICKS be abruptly leaving their posts under his administration?
  4. Dead cat bounce. $4,027.43....may be time to sell if you still hold positions.
  5. I think Greg meant Trump loves N.Korea... You know, from the meeting with Kim Jong Un where he told us no more nukes....but KJU is building/testing them anyway. It's a "$130k-to-keep-quiet-on-the-bad-things" kinda love Trump shares for many people around him. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-09-05/u-s-trade-gap-widens-most-since-2015-china-deficit-hits-record If China's hurting from the tariffs, OUR economic numbers tell a different story. It's not working if we're still losing the trade war. Be Brandon: never left the Midwest, claim to know something about Communist China's GDP.
  6. I just watched G_10 last night. Didn't watch the Gymkhana Files, but I am a fan of Hoonigan (though haven't watched much YT content in the last 2 weeks b'cuz holidays) and I think G_10 was great. It's well edited, and I pay attention to the tire skidmarks on the road that show he's maybe doing 1-2 takes in some of the scenes and he's getting it right. Granted, Ken is a great driver and his cars are SERIOUSLY set up for these "events". I would spend all day and 2 sets of Toyo tires before I got that reverse-Y turn done in downtown Detroit. Cool video. The slo-mo's showing how close he gets to some of the obstacles are cool. The action close-up of the engines, pedals, overhead drone shots....they definitely do a good job.
  7. Randy, just saw the videos. Really nicely done! Enjoyable to watch and informative, with some touches of humor thrown in. Good stuff.
  8. I was at the YSU game last night...Buckeyes looked turrible in the first half but pulled off a win. Started and ended the evening at Gogi on Bethel. Good times.
  9. Jono, have you tried calling me? I have a missed phone call from Enid, OK yesterday... I've got 59.9 hours...I needed to do my solo cross-country, verbal exam and written exam. Because it's been a few years (2015) since I've last flown I'll have to definitely do a few hours of day/night flying to get caught up as well. My old CFI is ready to go again with me after holidays. Would love to connect when you're back in town!
  10. Came in immediately with "CTS-V Pr0n"... Left satisfied.
  11. https://jalopnik.com/f1-broadcast-soundbites-reimagined-as-life-scenarios-h-1831185718 OMG I'm in tears....
  12. They see me lurking, they hatin'....
  13. Great points. God forbid this wall project gets underway...there will ABSOLUTELY be some swampy, Trump-connected contractors getting the job. That's politics. It'll get weird if there's a bunch of Russians with old Cold War-era construction equipment coming into New Mexico to build the wall. Overthinking Trump's intentions: it's too easy to do.
  14. It dawned on me this morning... The reason Trump wants the border wall - in the face of irrefutable evidence that our immigration problem will NOT be solved by a physical wall - is that he wants a monument to his presidency that he can see and touch, and be evidenced by all. Like the pyramids of Egypt and Great Wall of China, he wants an engineered structure that people will remember him by. Since it's clear that gubmint isn't giving him $5B to start the wall...didn't he say he was going to make Mexico pay for the wall?
  15. As my year-end is completed for work, and Christmas/New Year's plans are coming together for family and friends, I'm curious what automotive plans everyone has for 2019. I'll open it up to pretty much anything with an engine - Fix up BMW, V. - Go to CC&C as much as I can outside of weekend-scheduled events. - Would like to do a couple of local cruises: http://www.windy9.com, some evening driving around downtown C'Bus, Dayton C&C once (haven't been to an event yet) - Finish my student pilot training. No plans on buying/selling vehicles; just want to get the stuff I have running better.
  16. Didn't even notice the lack of him planting the flag, and it wasn't needed. Loved the scene of him making his first steps on the moon. BTW, for an actor that doesn't seem to have a ton of facial changes in his repoirtoire...Ryan Gosling was great in this movie. Definitely delivered. I cannot think of a bad role he's done. Claire Foy's struggles were well done; I think everyone expects a housemom in the 50s/60s to be all "Stepford Wives" so it's unique to see her role as missions are going on and she's running around yelling at the kids. The whole cast was awesome.
  17. If you liked any space-themed films in the past (Contact, Apollo 13, Gravity, Right Stuff, 2001/2010, Star Trek, Star Wars, shit I’ll throw in Event Horizon, Life, Moon...) then you’ll REALLY like this flick. It takes a deeper side-story into the personal life of Neil Armstrong than I anticipated, but as a family man myself I was touched. There are some “action scenes” that left me speechless. I had no idea about some of the other incidents around the early NASA space program in the ‘60s. For as divided as we’ve become in the world today, I do wish we could all get around an event or program that makes us more hopeful for the future. Still great things, but this movie gave some excellent perspective.
  18. The hot tub outside of my house hasn’t been run in a few years after some of the PVC lines froze and cracked. Does anyone know someone with experience repairing hot tubs? Happy to get referrals. Thank you!

  20. That is very cool. I dig how this still looks like a factory Sonic from the beltline up...
  21. While car guys fantasize about getting an ex-cop car...and Uber is a great way to justify that given their reputations as tanks... I can't help but think something that's more fuel-efficient is going to be a better way to go. Kia Optima/Hyundai Sonata? The 2.4DI gets 30+ city/highway...my parents are on their second Sonata after being lifer-Honda people. The things are cheaper but well put-together. Very economical. I'd say used Prius, or Ford Escape Hybrid. Look at what other larger cities are using for their Yellow Cab taxi fleets... https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Ford-Escape-HYBRID-VERY-NICE-ONLY-47K-MILES/202532338133?hash=item2f27de39d5:g:1GQAAOSwjMtcEb3~:rk:4:pf:1&vxp=mtr&frcectupt=true Show me a 15-year old or newer car that's sub-50k miles (you're going to be putting miles on this thing) and less than $7500....
  22. The problem with Uber is the rating system: a driver's pay is now modified based on the rating average they get from riders. If some drunk chick doesn't like you because you're not putting up with some stupid story she's telling you and gives you 1-2 stars, your payout is screwed. Subsequently, if drivers give a rider low stars, that rider may have a hard time getting an Uber in the future, for driver fear that this POS may give them a bad rating and affect their payout. It's symbiotic, but an a-hole can affect your income. All you have to do is be polite: welcome them in your ride, and wish them bon-voyage when they leave. Maybe make a nice comment about where they're going. "High Street? Where are you off to? Cool! I heard great things about Arch City Tavern. Great food there. Hope you have a fun time." Maybe people want to talk, maybe they won't. But worst case scenario that someone goes missing and the Uber driver is called up by police, it's good to know that you knew they said they were going to a certain location. - Sirius radio with some nice, non-commercially pop music station is good, or check Pandora/Spotify for Uber stations. No one listens to terrestrial radio. - A basket of mints or cheap gum is a nice touch. - I don't need water, thanks. I looked into Uber-driving our Odyssey a couple of years ago. It's a good gig because of how flexible you'll be. This as well.
