  1. wat Only if that kid, 30-35 years later, is still in that sandbox playing dead. In which case, he deserves an Oscar for his commitment as an actor to his craft.
  2. Yes, newer ones are available with a pano-roof. Even the SL-convertibles come with a glass top option. I've always been interested in MB 2-door hardtops because they are indeed phenominal cruisers (especially on a summer/FL evening commute) but none of the modern ones come with a stick. Times have changed, auto-technology has gotten better...maybe one of the 201x's several years down the road after depreciation has taken it's toll on the used price of one.
  3. That picture is the existing Continental, which from the front and side (aside from those handles in the chrome trim) I have a tough time seperating from a MKZ. I would assume there would be a central B-pillar for latch mounting, and side-impact protection. it would be foolish to think we could somehow get a 4-door hardtop out of the mix, but if Mercedes-Benz has been doing pillarless hardtops in 2018-19, I'm holding out hope.
  4. http://www.autonews.com/article/20180324/RETAIL06/180329751/lincoln-suicide-doors-continental-nada-show What the what??!?!??! Will believe it when I see it...but I want to believe it.
  5. Just watched Roadkill Ep. 74 at DirtFish...I like I can still watch for free but YES, the "surprise" ads every 5 minutes is kind of a killer. Will have to live with it.
  6. I'm starting to realize all the Nissan guys I knew on Maxima.org 15 years ago grew up, had kids, became VP's, and leased Infinitis. Car looks great as per the usual, Tim!
  7. I watched that Malibu 2-step thinking “there’s no fucking way that brick is going to win against that Mustang body...”. RRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPP! That is indeed fucking insane. I’ve never seen anything so planted on a drag run. Seriously, are the drivers not BLACKING-OUT on the run? BTW, there was an ad for E3 spark plugs...shittiest plugs ever. I used them on one of my cars, it felt like a misfire, and I immediately returned them to Jeg’s.
  8. GM will keep this new engine “Cadillac-only” for marketing purposes...but develop another engine based on this architecture, give it another code, and put it in other cars/trucks. They WILL amortize R&D for this thing across as many products where it makes sense as possible. Think Northstar V8 for Caddy, then they stuck it in the Oldsmobile Aurora.
  9. "Facebook"?!? Pssh...that's so 2016.
  10. That's funny...I just spent 3 hours with one of their larger corporate clients (this company used Laserflex for their sub-assemblies). Same problem: great workforce with good welders, but employees are aging out. We talked a few times about the need for welders. FYI, this company gave $15,000 bonus checks to their already well-payed employees, multiple generations working for the company (dads, sons, brothers)...and they STILL need more welders.
  11. That Craigslist ad looks like a scam. There are hardly any details and even with a junker engine, a V8-swapped M3 with a widebody kit should be more than $10k, I think...
  12. This reminds me that I need to change the fluid in my V. Thanks for the reminder, grrg!
  13. You've got a license plate light out. "Zip Tie" Racing, indeed.
  14. "Class" left this thread the moment it was created.
  15. I'll believe it when people are leaving after the successful completion of the event, without a police escort. I'm glad Schottenstein is still focused on building something like SPARC at Cooper Park - I understand better than most that after spending $40MM on a unique, limited-use property to establish an even MORE unique property, it truly is a dance of players and whom is going to commit funding when. Carts-before-horses sort of thing; even with a lot of money in play, there are a lot of egos and agendas that developers have to align to get commitments. If the city owned Cooper Park, it would've been a great venue for Fortress Obetz and the Ohio Machine...instead of destroying an already-respected motorsports venue already within Columbus MSA. Even more reason why I hope SPARC still happens at some point... Regarding OP: My only complaint about this happening in the parking lot (aside from Wags' experience in the actual "track" conditions being entirely unsafe for legit drag racing) is that it introduces an unwanted hooligan aspect to this property that has been largely left alone. Think about it: now idiots that forgot about CP still existing are now going to want to do stupid stuff in the parking lot, PISSING OFF the neighborhood. Those of us that volunteered our time for SPARC a few years back know that if it's not people living there to worry about, it's the dead ones at Greenlawn Cemetary and their well-connected relatives that will raise holy hell if sounds/smoke offend a peaceful cemetary after zoning-enforced noise ordianances are violated. It will only take one bad event to set SPARC plans off by several years, if not forever...
  16. Right...David Clark's these are not. Although I'd look pretty bauce walking around downtown C'Bus with Sennheisers around my neck
  17. I trust Tabacchi's word on this... Seriously, what were the guys "organizing" this thinking???
  18. +1. Respect for you audiophiles keeping the headset game going. If I'm not flying a plane, I need my Chinamazon specials to 1) deliver music at a reasonable level, while also 2) keep me able to hear a yelling wife or screaming kids as I'm outside around the garage/driveway/yard.
  19. I'd wait to see how this event goes first. If it's great, better chance of AutoX. If it's a shitshow, wait for the dust to settle before asking.
  20. I'm assuming it's still the Schottenstein's that own Cooper Park...
  21. You're definitely not the only one that's seen this....it's been making it's way around local car-FB feeds. ...and yes, it's already seemingly doomed less than 24 hours of it being announced.
  22. Congratulations! The 5.7 Z06 engine is definitely a great screamer in the '04-'05's. And WELL DONE not finding a front license plate. I do love the front end of 1g CTS-V's and they are fucking. ruined. when a front plate is on them.
