  1. There still remains a significant income gap, but in addition to the items you indicated above (supporting my statement), most cities/states/regions are undergoing a major labor shortage. I personally know business owners that are hiring convicted felons just because of the labor pool where their company locations are in Ohio...something they NEVER would've done in the past. Which, by the way, does also show my support for immigration...we NEED people that want to live, work, and contribute to America's growth. From H1B skilled labor to folks that push a broom and work in a field, America should be open for business despite Trump and that stupid wall idea.
  2. Are you thinking of Magnesium? Lights with a low flashpoijn and creates an intense flame?
  3. From that first pic, it looks more squared off than long...is it for a 6ft bed or 8ft?
  4. Saw that earlier... 3D printing is becoming amazing technology. I'm looking forward to creative minds re-imagining and redesigning engineered products in our lives.
  5. Please! Let me know what he'd want for it as well. Thanks man.
  6. I've been driving my '01 Silverado a lot with the winter/rainy weather we've had since I bought it in January. It's already got a drop-in bedliner in it but I'd like to clean up the looks and prevent water issues by putting on a cover, since I'm not using it that much to haul these days. Doesn't have to be trick (hinged, flip-fold) necessarily...just something that covers the bed. I'm guessing anything from '99-2006 Silverado/Sierra should fit it. It's an 8-foot bed. Also looking for the following: - Taillights - Rear rollpan - Clear headlights/parking lights - Chrome grille - Red-painted or chrome-accented door mirrors (manual preferred, not power). - Bench seat I've looked at car-part and eBay/RockAuto, but thought to check with CR to see if anyone's got used parts from an old truck they had gathering dust.
  7. I would agree that you should give LeVeque a try. I haven't stayed there yet, but just the lobby looks amazing. Plus, it's an iconic part of Columbus so you should go there at least ONCE.
  8. Did I hear on NPR this morning that he called Jeff Sessions "Mr. Magoo"? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-01/trump-loses-key-loyalist-hicks-as-russia-probe-and-midterms-loom Hope Hicks was an up-and-comer...proud of her that she knows she can do better than 5th person filling that role on Trump's team in a year. I've said - and will continue to do so - that because Trump is my President, I wish him well for our country. The economy has certainly benefitted....Still, what a price to pay to have to broadcast his unhinged personality around the world.
  9. Great article. Very cool about the "Golden Nugget" 48RE...drag diesels are absolute freight trains on the track.
  10. Subscribed. I've got All-Ohio Insurance (Bob Adams) in Delaware and while they've been good to me for 14 years on the homeowners'/liability insurance, they've never been able to touch my Progressive auto policy - under $700/6-months for 6 cars and 2 drivers with tickets. Thanks for the suggestions, guys!
  11. https://www.10tv.com/article/hundreds-pack-upper-arlington-high-school-auditorium-talk-violence-gun-safety My wife attended this last night while I went to the CBJ game...and she got home after I did! Props to the Police and Schools as they answered. every. question. that. was. submitted. (except for a few that may have named specific people, out of respect for privacy) With two kids in school, I'm hoping some good comes out of this public dialogue. FUCK any kids that call in and make threats; I've heard a couple school districts have been closed due to "credible threats".
  12. My wife and I are huge Howard fans. If you want a "choke point", the first stop is putting schools on lockdown so you can only go inside through 1-2 doors during school hours. Put a call button with a buzzer lock, and make sure everyone - from parents to guardians to kids - states why they need to get in.
  13. Glad it wasn’t destroyed. Looking forward to updates!
  14. Will it be street-legal? Apologies for forgetting how this can be titled/licensed. Awesome news, and surprised I hadn't heard of this before.
  15. Clicked on the link. Saw said Kia Rio. Thought same thing. Scrolled over more base-model Kia's, Dodge Journey's, and stripper Chevy's than I want to see in a lifetime...and I drove a 4.3L Silverado to work today I like that Mirage angle... Good reminder here is to talk to Jordan at JET out in Cambridge (2hipsi here on the board). Great resource for car shopping.
  16. So, Casto doesn't want any food/coffee trucks to come by for fear of backlash from lessees (Like Champps or CoreLife or Barnes&Noble). Yes, a coffee van isnt much competition, but it opens up a can of worms with other groups wanting in, charities whining, etc...it can escalate out of control and get them - and the group, of course - in trouble. I'd love to tell Tupelo Donuts and other coffee-trucks that they could show up but leave the parking lot by 10am, and I think that would work where none of the restaurants would feel competed against, but I don't want to be responsible for that level of effort/logistics/relationship maintenance with Casto.
  17. Hang on... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/album.php?albumid=1008&pictureid=8950 THAT thing is now $1200?
  18. Is it a dogbone/low-profile one by chance, or conventional style?
  19. Coaster. No need to even post a poll. B3NN3TT...that's a beautiful color filter applied to that gorgeous fall day. Red Beard...you just keep putting that pic up every month, bud. One day the victory will be yours.
  20. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-Kia-K900-Premium-RWD/282782410205?epid=210717076&hash=item41d72525dd:g:IvkAAOSwyXNaSCby&vxp=mtr Friend of mine is leasing a K900...it's unbelievable how much car he got for $400-something a month. Looking at the used market, without even trying, you can find a 400+hp 5.0L V8 with amazing content for less than $25k. These were $50-60k+ cars only 3 years ago!
  21. I'm open to other location ideas. However, Ideally we're not more than a traffic light change from a major highway, and somewhat centrally located. We used to do Easton cruises, from the north parking lot down Morse, onto 270, 315, Lennox. Those were fun and an easy, minimal-intersection route. I'll talk to Casto.
