leaky valve cover is fairly common. without loking at it I couldn't be sure on the noise. check the power steering pump I've worked on a couple that the pump has failed with less than 80k miles.

you could try it but its kinda light and might get sucked against the pickup tube and starve the motor for oil.

to do it in mandrel you'll have to buy the bends from jegs or summit and weld it up yourself. or go with 3" crush bends and get the same flow as mandrel 2.5
