  1. Tuesday, August 16, 2044 I changed it from smoker to non-smoker and it said I would die sooner I'm never quitting now
  2. stonehenge builders is hiring 730-330 m-f its a laborer position think it pays 8.50 or 9.00 call mark gableman at 374-6560 to set up an interview tell him Dave told you to call.
  3. fuel pressure won't drop at the rail cuase the regulators at the end of it any pressure drop would be after the regulator and by then it doesn't matter cuase its just flowing back to the tank
  4. engine mount most likely. have some one watch while you push the gas car in gear foot on the brake look for the mount thats hitting the safety catch
  5. wouldn't be hard to undo all the "custom" body work with the motor and other goodies its worth it if your a good body man. Still hard to believe someone would put that much time into something that ugly.
  6. restrictions don't drop pressure they raise it the FPR is right before the return line as long as its the same size or bigger it doesn't cuase any extra pressure build up. the reason the line nedds to be larger with a crazy fuel pump is so that the regulator does all work. the regulator should be the only restriction in the line. with an adjustable fpr you change the amount of the restriction and that varies the pressure, if the return line restricts more than the fpr you get too much pressure and you can't accuratley control it. ( I broke down and went and bought some books about high performance fuel injection so I can do this motor swap without having to stop and ask a question every six seconds) smile.gif
  7. 94 mph is good for mid 13's its all about traction and driver if its street tires and the guy wasn't used to rowing a six speed its easy to run real slow.
  8. ok so a 1/2 inch feed with a 1/2 inch return line I'm going to use an aeromotive pump regulator and filter and I'm going to put the computer in the glovebox so no problems there. that about covers it now its time to rip out all the old low pressure lines sump the tank and replumb it all. thanks to al who replied I appreciate it. I'll take some pictures of before an after
  9. Its not really the shop you use, but the guy doing the work, everyone has bad day at work and in the machining business a bad day for the operator can be a heart stopper for the customer. Like has already been stated whenever you have any kind of work done you should check it all over thoroughly to make sure its dead on right. every motor problem I've ever had has been from an assembly problem not fualty machine work if you measure out a clearance and it isn't right or your not happy with it call the shop and have um fix it. for mustang stuff I would recomend Fox Lake I went up there with fowler to pick up some stuff and that place is so clean inside you could eat off the floor thats the kind of machine shop I like to use. Earick Racing is also the same way (newark oh) all sunnen equipment and very clean inside. I would get ahold of napa you shouldn't have a problem with them making it right if its their fualt. I've only dealt with the shop on the east side , but they always took care of any problem or concern I had without incident. good luck
  10. graemlins/thumb.gif Signed! This is somthing any automotive enthusiast should support. if one guy sells out to a developer it could start a trend that ends up closing down drag strips, road courses , and mud trails everywhere especially if the developer is offering the owner of the track enough cash to live comfortably for a long time without all the work of running/owning a business my .02
  11. 150 an hour? how steady is the work?
  12. I'm doing some getting ready planning for my new motor and everything is going to need replumbed for high pressure fuel. I'm planning on running 1/2" fuel supply from the tank to the rail. On the return side does the line need to be bigger/smaller/or the same size? on my carb setup I have an electric pump already so I just have to switch it out to one made for FI and I'm good, but what I'm not sure about is the fuel filter where is a good place to get a canister type(like an oil filter) rated for high pressure? Are ecm's very susceptible to RF or other electric noise interference? does it need to be sheilded somehow or ist it all built in? (stock gm/delco computer) all help appreciated thanks
  13. the spacer will help a little I wouldn't buy it unless you can get one used/cheap

any of the clubs that don't serve alcohol are 18 and over theres 4 or 5 of them around town the names are escaping me at the moment though
  15. army surplus stores usually have good ones some cover up to 10,000 square feet
  16. thats an eighth mile car with 5.13's its all out of revs unless the motor will do like 10,000 rpm you can run an 8.0 1/8 and run anywhere from 11.0 to 13.5 depending on how much the car picks up on the big end
  17. did you check for spark yet? pull a plug wire stick an old sparkplug in it and touch it too ground then turn the motor over if it doesn't spark that gives you a place to start from if it smells like fuel you most likely don't have a fuel problem unless its way rich all the time and fouled the plugs
  18. its a bad ground pretty common third gen problem the third brakelight is grounding through the defrost turning it on then the defrost stays energized and it grounds through thte brakelight and makes it stay on
  19. heres the easy way. very carefully heat ONLY the bolt with a torch untill its glowing orange then use an air chisle with a punch attachment or a hammer and punch and it will come right out. next time. when you replace the bolt coat it with anti sieze so you don't have problems if it needs to come apart again. hope this helps
  20. what bulb number does it use I'm sure Hella makes an 80 or 100 watt replacement bulb check out J.C. whitney for good deals
  21. AH good old reynoldsburg Zoning code No gravel driveways in the city limits unless its existing or temporary during new construction the loophole is there though you can't have the boat in the front or side yard, now if you can get it into the back yard and you cover it with a tarp there is absolutley nothing they can do about it. don't start a pissing match with bored neighbors we tried that and ending up with the fucking zoning guy over here every other day for awhile try talking to your neighbors maybe invite them over sometime you'll find if you get along with them ok they may decide to call you first for a loud car instead of the cops. if you don't want to make friends with the nieghbors the easiest parking solution is pavers or poured concrete I don't remember weather you own or rent if you own just make a little driveway extension you will have to go to the building department and get a permit but you shouldn't have more than 300-400 bucks in the whole job if you do it yourself. I have all the tools and floats to finish concrete if you decide to go that route your more than welcome to borrow them and/or me to help with the job Good luck
