Which is exactly why if anyone was trying to be the pump gas king, they would not choose something like an SCM61. Your definition of fast was 100-110mph on pump gas. A nearly full weight 1g on a stock turbo can do that. A properly setup 16g'd car can go 110-112mph on pump gas with minimal mods.

There are DSMs that have made 1200whp (Obviously only a few). The reason you think that the Ecotec is "the strongest 4 cylinder ever made" is because GM is pouring millions of dollars into racing it and promoting it. This goes a long way. Do you really think Mitsubishi or Nissan give a fuck about drag racing? Of course not. The Mitsubishi guys that are pushing the envelope to hang with Gardella and Lumis are doing it out of there own pocketbooks and don't have the money behind them like GM is providing.

You need a new master cylinder. It is very easy to change.

Is the car a turbo 4G63 or a non turbo 420A? Have you pulled up the carpet under the floorboard and inspected for clutch fluid? Replacing the master cylinder is not hard if this is a turbo car.

The "AWD" version of a TSI motor is good for an extra 20 ponies. You didn't know this?

I won 't be there. I have another project I'll be working on that weekend.

There is a BMW driver's school at Mid Ohio the last weekend in October. Its usually about $350/weekend but well worth it. You'll get about 3 hours of track time total. I have no idea if the school is filled up by now or not.(probably is).

Have you ever been to a NDRA/Nopi event? These guys run million dollar+ factory backed operations, ride out of $250k trailors and have back up race cars. This guy runs a single man operation with 1 or 2 volunteers out of his own pocketbook, actually shifts his car down the track, and his car still weighs about 600 lbs more than them. Trust me, its just a matter of time before the NDRA changes the rules to give the GM cars more of an advantage. I'm sure they are very scared right now.
