  1. The pit at Norwalk is much bigger than Trails. It covers both sides of the track, you probably have never been there for an IHRA divisional event or a National Event when they have both turn-offs open.
  2. go to start-run and type CMD type ping <whateveraintworking>.com and see what it does. It should resolve the URL to an IP address and then you should see the results of the ping. Try that and post your results. 3. My OHP buddy told me 7 over is his breaking point. Really 72mph is about as fast as you need to go. You want to drive faster, take it to the track (it really is fun).
  4. I disagree. They have been running the same class of cars up there for years and no one has gotten hurt. I love being that close to the cars, nothing like being right next to Force when he gets on it.
  5. I went into the military straight out of HS. I got out of the military with some good experience and started working in the computer field at a help desk. Within 1 year I was making 40s and have enjoyed about 12 - 20% raise per year until last year.
  6. When NHRA isn't present the track is run by the owner. Whatever the cost is determined by the ownership (Bill Bader). But when NHRA is there, it is a totally different deal, NHRA runs the track. Prep (which they suck at), running order, price, all of that. When they took over Trails they did things like, taking out drinking fountains so they could charge for water. I don't think the Bader crew will be able to fix NHRA, during Natls the track will blow. The rest of the year we hope it will be fine.
  7. I have raced at Norwalk for a while, I still know many people that run IHRA and run at Norwalk. We know that NHRA is seriously beating the bushes for sponsors for a national event there. John Force LOVES that track and his recent success with A&E that puts his mug in front of a non-ESPN camera means he has loads of pull. Force cannot stand Trails and probably has been telling NHRA to remove that race for years.
  8. This weekend's national event at Norwalk will be the last IHRA National Event. Next year it will be NHRA, the only move that makes sense for that is to move the Spring Natls from Columbus to Norwalk. NHRA has the unique ability to ruin a perfectly good track for the fans and racers (not the corporate sponsors). I would look for Norwalk to go downhill quick, forget about the pound of icecream for a dollar next year.
  9. NetJets is usually looking for ground support folks. Take a look at places around the airport.
  10. It is very quoteable and funny, you might not get the Whitesnake reference unless you are a certain age.... I recommend a bit of a buzz when seeing it. I saw it at Rave Motion and it was out of focus (or maybe I was really hammered). Anywho, it had nothing on Old School but it was pretty good.
  11. I guess I would start by narrowing your search a bit. There are plenty of "computer jobs" available in Columbus. What is your particular forte? Hardware support, OS support, Java, C#? I have a computer job but it has to do with networking them together.
  12. You do need one, but inferring you are taking them to that level will get them to act.
  13. Actually you need to write them a letter. Give them 48 hours to fix it or you will be forced to pay your rent into an escrow account that can be collected once it is repaired. This is a perfectly legal way to go and really pisses them off. Or, dig thru your contract and see what repairs are contracted.
  14. I am currently travelling for work and waking up this morning to "we are at yellow alert for domestic travel" was kind of fun. Tomorrow I think I will get to EWR about 5 hours early... My corporate travel policies don't let me use MY credit card for travel, I have to use the corporate negotiated card. I have certain hotel chains I am supposed to use and only one car company we can use for rental cars. However, if you haven't heard of Thrifty Parking Perks out at CMH you should sign up. You get parking for like $7 per day and it is valet, having a warm vehicle to get into in the winter is nice. Plus they do a points program so when you go on vacation you can get free days.
  15. Ruth's Chris, Mitchells.....
  16. Free room after 15000 points (I earn about 7500 per week). It is more if you want to go to vegas, but Hilton does bonus points for higher tiers... Plus I get executive suites due to status.
  17. Let me clarify, who fly's for work, stays at hotels a bunch, that sort of thing. I am a US Air frequent flyer (Silver Preferred) but don't like their program and was wondering if someone had a good experience with a FF program. Also I am a Hilton Honors member and they RULE!! I only stay at Hilton properties and it really is nice to see the points adding up.

  19. Superhawk 996 is almost exactly a Duc 999 (not S or R). Put some aftermarket pipes on it and a little suspension mods and given the Honda motor/clutch system you are looking at a better bike. The Duc is sex on wheels but the parts/labor for simple things is outrageous and you have to wait months just to get an oil change.
  20. I think anything is better than the relationship we have now. Raul was the first to recognize the country would fold up when Russia pulled their support/funding for the nation. Raul organized free trade for things like produce and I feel that he recognizes the need for a system more aligned with China's as far as trade goes. I just don't want our neighbor to suffer under a dictator when they could be one of the most prosperous nations in the carribean.
  21. Fidel will die someday, and then we give Cuba back to the mob. Just so long as I can open a dive shop there, I am happy.

How much for the ass in the background?
  23. Looks like Fidel is pretty sick and handed power to his brother Raul. I wonder if the border will be over-run with Cubans trying to flee the country. The US Coast Gaurd is standing by for it. I think that the US should be a good neighbor and help these poor people out. I know I wouldn't mind going 60 miles from the US to the largest island in the carribean for some diving (not to mention cigars). http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/americas/08/01/cuba.castro/index.html
  24. One of your first problems is that you are already into a workout and basing everything off of weight. Muscle is heavy, if you gain muscle you will gain weight. If you want to burn fat you need to do cardio, more output of calories than input. More reps, less weight as lean muscle takes more energy to maintain than fat. Fat is pretty amazing stuff, it takes almost no energy to store and little energy to open and use. People will tell you that they noticed once they started losing fat it just melted away. The reason is that the more lean muscle the more calories you need to keep it.
