Maybe it is that I am from Minnesota and 3-5" of snow is a normal daily snowfall when we get some weather, but WTF. It is a little snow, not a lot, a little. People start going crazy, driving less than 5 MPH (if you feel you cannot go faster than 5 MPH, don't leave the house), driving like morons and basically panicking about the white death. Trust me folks, this was not SNOWMAGEDDON, slow down and drive. Also, why is it that no one around here plows the roads? They lay down salt and that is that. Where I am from we use big plow trucks with belly blades (blade on the front to push snow, blade in between the front and rear wheels to remove anything the winged front blades dont get) and put down sand. I have been up there in recent years, we got 8" of snow in about 36 hours and the roads were all clear. My street wasn't touched since it started snowing and I never drove on a clear road on the way to work.

I don't like to sound paranoid but.....do you check your system for keyboard loggers (hardware and software)? did you check the headers on the recieved emails to make sure they were legit (and not trying to get you to go change your passwords)? Do you have host entries for ebay and paypal to ensure you actually went to those sites and not a DNS poisoned site? Sorry, I am a Certified Ethical Hacker so these are a few of my favorite hacks....

I was a big fan of IHRA until Clear Channel bought them. Now I hear that Norwalk has pulled away from IHRA and taken all the IHRA signage down. I think Bader is mad at Clear Channel and is trying to get the columbus NHRA race moved to Norwalk. Anyone know about this?

I wouldn't have deleted it, but I wouldn't have gotten the account either. If you want to stay in touch with friends, emails and phone calls work. If these are Ex boyfriends then perhaps you should evaluate your relationship with your husband and reset your priorities. (Gonna be tough to get the answer you want "no he should have never done that" on a forum that consists of mostly men).

I guess that since I am not from Ohio I have never understood the rivalry. I went to OSU, and never really got it. I guess I probably never will but I can promise you this, no matter what happens, a couch will burn (not sure why the students of OSU have chosen this as both a protest and celebration but no matter where you go, there you are).

I am actually in a security class right now, we are using firefox because of the security problems with IE (poor coding that allows for buffer overflow exploits etc...) I would say that MANY of microsoft's products are less secure than Firefox. True Firefox in the early releases had exploits, but 90% of them existed in IE as well. Since Feb. it has become a very stabile, very secure solution. Your security guy probably doesn't like it because he doesn't know it.

There are pay sites for that, but I would first try courtview for franklin county, if you have the ssn you will see every offense. It will list an address, you can use that. I am sure if you have the car's vin you can probably get the plate and that will get you closer.

sitting in the airport, at the bar. I just met two U.S. Marines who were in town to celebrate the Birthday and party with Lima company. These guys helped out with Lima in Iraq. They both said they felt the job they did in Iraq was worth it, and justified. Though they regret the loss of their comrades they said "Iraqies deserve the same freedom I enjoy". God bless the Marine Corps. Though they were on the way to their flight, I would have liked to buy them a drink. Please, the next time you see a service person in the bar, pay it forward and buy them a drink.

I cannot believe I posted a thread about me becoming an "ethical" hacker and you all told me to go to the sears tower and eat pizza. Crazy. Anyway, I am at the airport (free wifi rulz) and my flight is uber delayed. I plan on drinking more when I get there (drinking columbus pale ale now) and getting some of that pizza. I was on a submarine so I probably won't go to the sears tower (I like depths better than heights).

Heck, go buy a USA Today and shove it in a box and mail it to one of these people. I have sent a package to these guys, spices, candy, stuff to write home with. If you have a free magazine subscription, hook one of them up with it. The point is, you can help. Yes you have to take an hour to go shopping, box the stuff up and take it to the post office but I say what is an hour compared to your freedom? Remember, if you can read you should thank a teacher, if you read in english you should thank a service member.
