Nextel rules but costs $$. Verizon has really good coverage but their phones as of late kinda suck. I have Tmo cause I have 5 lines and it costs $110 per month for all 5.

That sounds like a bad regulator. You shouldn't have more than 14 volts at rev.

Ok, so I didn't pay attention to that...thanks for the move.

Paul is looking to dump the whole thing and take up boating. FS 2000 23T Spitzer Altered certified to 7.50 (it could be a 6.50 car if two tubes where put in the roll cage). 572ci DRCE Motor with Dart Ported heads, Ron Olson Zumi headers and Ron's flying toilets. This motor is perfect, titan oil pump, big pan, jesel valve train, you name it. Mark Williams 9" rear end, Dedenbear SFI case with TCI power glide, Wildwood brakes, the list goes on and on all quality stuff no expense spared. The car runs pretty consistant 7.7x but ran a 7.6x in really cold weather. $20,000 ready to race $15,000 without the motor. He also has a 41' gooseneck trailer with living quarters in the front, generator, bathroom and shower, fridge, two beds and all of that. Not sure what he wants for the trailer, PM if interested and I will give you his number.

The guy I race with has been driving for 15 years, 3 years ago we finished in the top 10 for IHRA division 3. 2 Years ago we finished 12 in same. Last year we where invited to run at a race at trails to prove to people they had a good facility. So when I say we have some experience I am not blowing hot air. In the 15 years our driver/owner has been racing, he has never crossed the center line. It happened twice on sunday. In addition to the fact that the Altered kept getting all crazy out on the track, there was a B A D wreck with a dragster that rolled and burst into flames. But apparently none of the officials wanted to believe it was the track. There was a bad oil down in that lane earlier in the day that probably caused the draster crash, but we will never know for sure. After the first time we got twisted up I told the lady at the timing shack, and one of the officials with her that the track prep team sucks. After the second time, when the car was at about the 1/8th and got all crazy I was shocked and amazed to see the safety crew rolling in the next set of cars. Not so much as a check to see if anything was on the track. So I gestured that the track was crap and they should just keep them coming. So the guy running the tree runs over to me and gets in my face and tells me it is the drivers fault the car got crossed up cause he got out of the groove. He tells me a car ran right in front of him at 8.90 and it was fine. He blames it on the driver, I asked why he thought the car ended up out of the groove and he tells me "I don't know" but figures it is the driver. Not needing to start fighting with an official and holding up racing I walked away, plus I needed to tow the car back to the trailer. We showed up to the track at 830, they did ZERO prep work and started calling cars to the lanes. After the oildown they sprayed VHT on the track be never dragged it in. After the crash and fire, they put some kitty litter down and sprayed VHT but never dragged it in. I am not sure they have a clue what it takes to put on a good program there. There, I feel better......

That'd be 3 Litres. I say go for it. Simpsons had a thing about Tuborg, "the beer of turkish kings". Personally I don't like it but it could be because I drank it in Sweden....

Um, cohibas are the best (yellow band - actual cuban). If you are looking for cheap head up to Easton to the Tinder Box, the short guy with the goatie will hook you up with some Olivias. They are really good and pretty cheap. Other than that Stogies and Stix in Dublin/Murfield rules.

You need to know that he died doing exactly what he expected to be doing when he died. That guy did not live by any rules we are familiar with, he was a true freespirit and it is something most folks only wish they could feel. Some people think they achieve it with drugs or alcohol, Indian Larry did it with loving life and building kick ass bikes. The world is worse off because his talent has been taken from us.

Wow, FWD running 7.50s. That is amazing. Hats off to whomever put all that work into a car that can flat out fly!

Stationed in Groton Ct. I was on the boat with this guy that had a huge head. We called him HEED, cause of the huge melon he carried around on his neck. So one day Heed hears about this place in Rhode Island where the girls are as easy as the money you pay them. Heed, having no car, gets a cab from groton to the place, the cabby knows all about it, $75 round trip with him waiting for 30 minutes. So Heed gets to the place and orders up a chick, there is a menu and everything, he reads the price on the service he wants performed. Enter semi-skanky woman, she sees the money, counts it and knows what he wants. So she comes over and starts rubbing his shoulders and whispers in his ear "maybe you would be more comfortable if you took your pants off". Heed not ever had this type of contact with a woman says, "no, i'm good". She doesn't quite know what to do so she warms him up with some more rubbing and takes a few items of her clothing off and says "it looks like those pants are getting to be a bit uncomfortable, want me to take them off?" Heed says "no, I am good" This continues for a while, the girl leaves and Heed rides back to base. He tells me that she wasn't as easy as he thought she would be. I slapped him on the back of the head.

I just graduated the Motorcycle Ohio course, if you don't take this course you are nutz. They teach you the fundamentals of how to ride, things like panic stops, cornering when going really slow, stuff like that. It is all usefull and has improved my riding tremendously.

Ice chips is probably the best. If you dehydrate, you die. Call a Dr. and get a script for Phenegrin (this is spelled wrong) it is anti-puking meds. It works really well and will knock you out. Basically your body it trying to reject whatever it has in it, then it will reset.

Need firsthand experience with XM satellite radio
Akula replied to Total Sign's topic in Passing Lane
I have XM in my honda (manufacturer installed). I haven't ever had a problem. I have had reception in lower floors of parking garages and in places where I shouldn't have signal. They moved to no commercials in Feb and that made it even better. -
Chevy crate motor tec questions...Please help!
Akula replied to ChevyMan1972's topic in Tech and Tips
Go with a bigger motor, you drive an olds and don't have a DRCE? Seriously, if you switch to alcohol you will see a huge difference (once you get it tuned). Might I suggest Ron's Flying Toilets? -
Maybe the G force on the corner cause the sidewall to fold.
