  1. Anyone old enough to remember any of these....? Pretty neat to see how it was back then, and where we are today. TONS of pictures. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/338226/an/0/page/0#Post338226
  2. How was he not the previous owner if you bought the car from him? Did you verify who he was? Dude you better lawyer up quick, otherwise you just bought a pile of scrap metal. Better plan on keeping that thing forever.
  3. THIS, they are under $20k with decent miles, like under 40k miles, it'll save you a lot of headache and have more resale value when you're done with it.
  4. I took the opener apart to replace the battery and there are no switches/buttons other than the 3 for the 3 buttons for the doors.
  5. Are you guys saying re-adding a keypad like its the same thing as changing the password on the keypad? because if so there is a "learn" button on the actual garage door motor thing and I followed the directions on how to do that, and it includes pressing buttons, and flashing lights. If we're not talking about the same thing then I will go check it out again tomorrow when its light out and see if I see any directions as to resetting the openers/pad to the actual unit. Thanks
  6. The other day I went out to my garage, used the keypad to open it like normal, got what I wanted, and went to close it on the keypad and no dice. The button on the wall works fine though. Also, I tried my garage door opener today and it worked a couple times, but then now it won't work at all. So yeah, any ideas? I changed the batteries in the remotes and tried to set a new code for the keypad, but it still doesn't work. The INSIDE button ALWAYS WORKS though, so I have a feeling there is a connection issue, something wireless. I cannot trace any wires to the keypad unit, so maybe its wireless too? Any help appreciated. Everything is less than 3 years old, but was done by the previous owner just before I bought the place.
  7. While this may be true, I'm surprised his credit union (OP's) gave him a check w/out collateral. I mean if its a personal loan that's one thing, but every time I've bought a car from a personal owner and used my credit union for a loan they required the title up front, or that they sent the check to the lien holder and the lien holder sent them a clear title. GL OP. Too many shady people out there nowadays.
  8. Wait, did you take out a loan on this car? You mention yours/his credit unions, as if you took out a loan to pay off his loan when buying it? If so, shouldn't your credit union have covered yours/their asses and be responsible for locating/collecting the title?
  9. Congrats, post up pics for sure! Its just a cobalt to some, but if you're happy that's all that matters. I didn't get a new car by any means, but I went from a 97 pontiac to a 03 focus w/ low miles and am happy as a pig in shit. It handles much better, rides nicer, is quieter/has more features, and is so far, knock on wood, reliable. So i know the feeling.
  10. Um, this sounds like its all your fault. People shouldn't HAVE to instruct you to read things you are signing. That's strike one. You shouldn't RELY on anyone except yourself. That's strike two. And as for strike 3, well, you figure it out. As far as the parking attendant knew, it was your first time, so therefore he was correct in stating that you can pay $4 tomorrow, as you said you have previously. It's not his fault you didn't read the paper, or that you forgot your wallet.
  11. According to the comments he put it into a wall already.

  17. I think that if a person wants to make a Petition like this they should either know how to spell beforehand, or use a spell checker. "sighted" "in stead" Hiya Scott.
  18. There is an 05 R6 w/ under 2000 miles for sale on here for $4000. I think that's a pretty good price and you could probably get it for under $4k. Look in the corral.
  19. How much was the cabin and atv rental? Sounds fun.

  22. While I agree with you somewhat, they have got to pay for all the R&D somehow, and aren't you glad to have another Camaro around, glad enough to pay a couple thousand dollar premium over not having one in production? Also, god knows that car is probably going to see $5000 in rebates sometime soon, so it'll probably get pretty close to the same price as the 2002 model. Just my .02
