Put it on a thermostat and set it to 40ish degrees. If you need help in doing so an HVAC or decent electrician can help, or I can walk you through it if you feel comfortable doing the work. Typically any decent calibrator compensates for all of them.

Electric is great for quick heat on a thermostat if you have the power to support it. Gas is better for longer term heat as run time on electric can add up if you use it a lot or aren’t well insulated.

It was my dodge car not truck, sold it already. I heard the same with some of the newer ram 1500’s though. I’m old school so it wasn’t something I considered until now, especially with the brakes available on many vehicles.

Mini splits are decent but when it real cold they don’t work that well as they are just a heat pump, but they can do both heat and ac. I love my woodburner but it was here when we bought the house. I’d love to find another for the basement.

Will 18’s fit over the brakes? I was gonna drop a size on my dodge but a friend let me try one and it hit the calipers big time. I don’t know the brakes on yours but just a thought as I didn’t even consider it before.

There are a lot of tools that can make the adjustment, just being sure you got that aspect covered before changing the size. I was going to suggest if you are only doing light off-roading I’d concentrate the search on a good all season tire with the appropriate load capacity first, then compare costs across sizes to see if a size change is really worth it.
