What ozone machine do you use, and what's the max area it'll handle? I've been thinking of picking one up.

Just another update...despite calling 2 weeks ago and cancelling my services, I STILL have Trugreen calling me trying to offer me discounts to stay with them. It's like they don't listen when I say "you guys left my gate open and our dog got out, I don't want you on my property again". Not like that's something minor like spraying the neighbors yard that only costs them time money and me a minor irritation and a phone call. Then I tell her she can refund me a portion of the aeration fee since they didn't do my full yard and I just get a generic "I'll see what I can do". Not holding my breath on that one.

It doesn't have to be custom to have different options, in the same way you can go to the dealership and get a car with a four or six cylinder engine. If I was selling a car and said "it's a Honda Accord, do your research", would that help you know what specs it has? When I look up that bike model, the first thing that comes up is a carbon fiber framed bike. Clearly yours is not because it shows in the pics that it's steel. Good luck getting someone to show interest in your bike if you can't even post pics of the important parts that can make it worth your asking price, or $200 less.
-
lmao. you've got the bike pointed with the non-drive side out. no one can tell what kind of crankset, derailleurs, etc are on the bike. groupset refers to the shifters/brakes/front and rear derailleurs, and crankset. a bike with Sora-level 10 speed stuff is going to make the bike worth a whole lot less than if you have 105 or Ultegra level 11 speed stuff. up close pics of all of the components would help someone determine all of this. go check out the "online swap meet" group on facebook and get a better idea of how to list a bike and attract more buyers.

I'm 5'10.5 and ride a 54cm. You're not going to be comfortable on a 60cm bike. OP should at least post pics with the bike oriented the correct way, or tell everyone what groupset is on the bike.. GLWS

Dusty - 614-551-4656, tell him Evan sent you. He did my AC when I bought my house (stolen while vacant) and just did a new furnace for me in January. I've known him like 25 years.

Nada. before this year I mowed and bagged the clippings. this year aside from the treatments I've been cutting it higher and mulching it, and watering (which hasn't been needed often with the rain this year). I'm planning on a trip to Louisville early October. I'll try to shoot you a text before I go and I'll stop at a couple places

I might have to do this...I remember your yard looked really good when I stopped over with booze.

I should've listened to you. Tried Trugreen. They've been out I think 6, maybe 7 times since early May paid services and a couple "touch ups" that I didn't track and they don't charge for, so I don't see them on my CC statement. 3+ months later, lawn looks about the same as it did in the spring. MAYBE a little better, but not enough to justify continuing to pay for these treatments. And it seems like as time has gone on, they've gotten worse. Last week, Friday I think, I get an email that they did my service. I get home, no flag in the yard, no receipt on the door. Ask my girlfriend if she did anything to them, said no. Next morning she gets a text from our neighbor saying basically "hey, do you guys use Trugreen? We got something on our door that says they serviced our yard". Yep...they've been out half dozen times and sprayed the wrong fucking yard. That's annoying, but I called Saturday morning and they agree to come back out, so whatever. 4 days later (this Tuesday) I'm scheduled to have aeration done. I get a frantic phone call from my girlfriend around 5:30 and right away she says "Trugreen left the fucking gate open and Bella is gone!". Yes, they left the fucking gate open, and our already stupid beagle mix that is a runner has gotten out. And it wasn't like my girlfriend saw her get out and could chase after her. She got home, opened the back door to let the dogs out like always, and went to go change out of work clothes and start a load of laundry, etc. Usually the dogs will bark when they want to come in, 10 min later and nothing so she goes to let them in and only 1 is there. She has to go running through the neighborhood trying to find the dog. LUCKILY someone driving by saw her running with a leash and no dog and pointed her to where they saw the dog, and my girlfriend was able to get her, unharmed. As if this isn't enough, I go to look at the yard after they aerated. There are big sections of yard that don't have a single aeration hole in them. So there is a ~$200 service and they didn't even do the whole area. Probably 80%, but I didn't pay for an 80% service. I call to cancel and this woman thinks that giving me 50% off my next two services (a whole $50?!) is just going to make me forget all this. GTFO. pics below show entire areas where there is not a single aeration hole/plug. I can see them through the rest of the yard too, so it's not like they're hiding in these areas. they just never got touched. https://imgur.com/gallery/UMPmFdJ

If you have winter/warmer clothes, my girlfriend is on the board for Good Neighbors of Columbus. They do a free store every September to prepare the homeless for the colder months. all ages/sizes needed. shoot me a PM if so and I can figure out where they can have someone meet you to get whatever you have.

HUGE Props to John Schreck for PDR work again....
evan9381 replied to TTQ B4U's topic in Passing Lane
So I kind of got off my ass today to look in to this some more...is google maps failing me? I'm not seeing a Dent Magic on Sawmill. Also, once I find where he's at, do I need to request for him to do the work, or is he the only one there? I've never done PDR so not sure how those shops are set up. -
Ah. Idk if I want to do that as I really didn't/can't give him a chance to correct it right now. I was on vacation when it got back to the shop here...if I was home, I could have stopped by to check it out and at that point, maybe shipped it back for corrections (even though I would've hated to wait even longer...this is my good bike). to send it back now, I'd have to have the shop disassemble the bike again, ship it, and reassemble it. The disassembly/reassembly alone is ~$225. If I sent it back before, it'd only cost me $60 or so in shipping. Now that the shop has put it back together, it'd be ~$300. also, this dude is basically THE guy to go to for this stuff. his fb page only has 5 star reviews. I think it's just something that slipped past him. I've seen other stuff he's done, and it all looks amazing. I don't think this is the norm or I would've heard about it before. I'll reconsider stuff this winter when I'm not riding as much. I don't want to deal with sending it back out again right now. Riding my winter bike when I want to go fast isn't fun.

The wheel is fine. It's just how they look. That last pic is a bubble/run in the paint. As for putting the guy on blast, I doubt anyone here cares. There are already very few cyclists on this board already, and the number of people that would need repair or have a bike repainted is even smaller. Add in that he isn't local, it's not like he is an autobody guy doing this on the side and I need to warn people about him

So basically one of those situations where the cure is worse than the disease?

Tek Experts on Hudson has done me right at least a halc dozen times now.

How does paint matching work? I sent my carbon bicycle frame to a guy in MN to do a small carbon repair after an incident a couple months ago. Many people on a fb group have used him, all super positive reviews. I asked him about repainting my whole bike a new scheme while he had it. I just gave him some color ideas and told him to surprise me. While I like what he did with it, there are a couple issues that need addressed, and I really don't want to deal with having the bike disassembled again, shipping, waiting, etc. He did one color that is a gunmetal color that he mixed up, so it's not something off the shelf. There is a small mark in the paint and due to the old paint there being white, it sticks out. There are also a few runs in the paint. A couple aren't super noticeable, but there is one that is very visible and I'm scratching my head wondering how it left his hands as it is. It might be able to be wet sanded out, but it's close to a decal that i'm not sure if it's stenciled and painted or vinyl and cleared over (I'm not a paint guy so idk how these things go...i'm also waiting to hear back from him). Just want to see what it might take to get these things fixed locally (and maybe a small bottle of touch up paint for future marks). https://imgur.com/a/0T0XqQr

Mine don't get used as often as I'd like, but still solid as the day I got em. Couple spots I've rubbed the paint storing them poorly but it's not a big deal.

Anyone have a wheelchair I could have?
evan9381 replied to Radio Flyer1647545514's topic in Dumpster
What is that, an urgent care? You saying you fell 30' and didn't go via ambulance (I assume that's what your last post meant) or go to an actual hospital? Jesus. I hope you heal well. Hit up Kirk if you need a name of a good ortho. He sent me to a guy for my wrist that was amazing. -

Which hospital did they take you to? If it was any of the Mt Carmel locations, there's a 1 in 3 chance I'll be handling your BWC billing. -
I did a ton of research on windows before replacing mine a couple years ago. Basically stay away from box store brands (Jeldwen, pella, etc) and shit you see on commercials (Rosatti). I ended up going with a brand called Polaris. I believe LJ has them too. I wasn't super thrilled with the work the guy did when he put them in, so I won't reccomend him (plus I think I heard he had a stroke and/or passed away but is no longer working) but the windows themselves are awesome. Modern Builders Supply by the airport is the local vendor. Email Polaris and they'll get you in touch with someone who installs them. I got the Ultraweld double pane. Great windows, reasonable price.

i have a guy but i broke my phone a couple hours ago and it's getting (hopefully) fixed now. once i can get into my contacts, i'll send it to you. or if you want to look back in my posts a few months ago i recommended him to someone else. his name is Doug

and most of their other stuff is just safelite's glass. I used to do the wholesale accounts at safelite and they were one of our bigger local customers. it's not even that they're *that* much cheaper compared to anyone that isn't safelite, it's just that everyone compares prices to safelite because they're the big name and their prices are fucking outrageous. they've got all of the insurance contracts, fleet, government, etc, and they know they can jack up prices and no one is going to do anything because they're the biggest auto glass company in the world and everyone knows them. most people haven't heard of pilkington, gerber, or PPG which are still big names.

Riiiight...because shooting into that crowd at the rate of fire that was occurring is far less damaging than aiming and taking single shots every few seconds. Not to mention, I don't think "fucking around" is a term that should be used when it comes to firearms.

Gun owner here and I see nothing wrong with banning these.

I think the place I've ordered from in the past is called "scenic seitz". They do delivery and stacking.
