  1. Also, was it really a matter of your insurance not covering it, or had you not hit your deductible/coinsurance limits for the year yet. If it's a matter of not hitting those limits, next time wait until after the new year so you're not paying towards your 2017 deductible in December and it's just going to reset in January. I broke my femur on Christmas eve a couple years ago and was fucking pissed because I knew all of my follow up visits would be once my deductible reset and I had to start paying towards that new $3500 again.
  2. He put me on a daily allergy/asthma pill (singulair) and I do daily nasal spray. Things have been insanely better since I got on them. And generic singulair is like $20 for a 90 day supply (your insurance may be different) and you can get 5 months of the spray at costco for like $26. Autumn used to kill me with ragweed and whenever temps changed cold to warm or warm to cold my asthma was bad...I haven't had issues in years. I'd say it was worth it.
  3. So did they do the scratch test on your back with that thing I linked above? Also, did you see Bagenstose (the dad)? He's who I see. I like him.
  4. Lol. It really doesn't sound like there is anything to contest. He went in to find out what he is allergic to, and they did a full panel of tests. I'd have to go see if my Aetna page shows what allergy testing cost me back in 2013 but I want to say it was like $900 before any insurance adjustments/payments. edit - in 2013, billed charges were $892.50, after insurance adjustment it was $587.32.
  5. update - they used 8 of something like this to test you for 64 allergens. https://adclinic-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/mt2-7-dev-in-hand-side-view.jpg
  6. Funny...I'm studying coding and billing now and have CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM books all around me as I write this. From my own experience a few years ago, did you get the scratch test? when I had mine, there were 8 "scratches" but each scratch had 8 allergens on it. basically they're testing you for 64 allergens. They mark your back in pen to outline each 8 scratch panel and from there see what reacts. On mine, I reacted to 11/64, and from there, they did an injection of those 11 into my arm to confirm. Sounds like you hit positive on 21 of 64 and got a shit ton of shots in your arm...and I thought 11 was high!
  7. Just replaced my OEM battery in my 09 Legacy this summer at ~115k miles. It was a trooper!
  8. Not usually my style but that's pretty slick.
  9. I had some amazing carbonara at Cooper's Hawk a few weeks ago. Going to Black Point in 2 weeks. The Barn had some good prime rib but they only had creamy horseradish (bleh)...if they had fresh, it would've been a 9/10+ prime rib.
  10. Where can I get the finish on my 870 redone? It's almost 20 years old and been driven hard and put away wet. I would like to get it refinished if the price isn't too crazy.
  11. Email me your resume and I'll get it to my brother in law. He's a director at an IT company up near Polaris. evan9381@hotmail.com
  12. Update - didn't realize the forecast tomorrow was shitty. Don't ride bikes unless you want a wet ass all day. On nice days, this is a great idea.
  13. 13C, row 14, aisle seats. Brother in law and nephew were gonna use them, but don't want to go due to the forecast. Text me 614-374-7741.
  14. Do you have bicycles? If so, park at one of the parks up the Olentangy trail, ride the mile or two down, and put your bikes in the free bike corral by the stadium. I did this for the Oklahoma game. I left the stadium at 11:05, got my bike, rode 2 miles north, avoided all traffic and was back home near Easton at 11:40.
  15. I smoked a bird last year and roasted one and everyone said the smoked bird was 10x better. Brine it for at least 24h before hand. I smoked it low and slow. Took about 9 hours. Best turkey I've evee had, and I've fried quite a few.
  16. Roy Burnham - 614-735-6420. Tell him Evan sent you.
  17. I've got a treadmill you can have if you come take it from my garage. Got it from someone here a while ago and girlfriend never used it (surprise). I think he said the display is finnicky but the rest works. It's been a couple years so i can't remember.
  18. Now I can put a face to all of the "which one of XXX should I buy" threads. lmao.
  19. We came south on Watkins California...a road that any other day we might see 4 cars...there were probably 25 coming north and turning on Harriett. We were wondering wtf was up.
  20. Yeah...it didn't look good. I saw one person getting loaded up on a backboard as we rolled up on it, and someone was sitting on the road in a neckbrace by the 2 cars once we were through it. I'll be interested to hear how it happened once they release the accident report. We ride up Wells often going northbound and getting across 42 is always sketchy. We usually have to get across in smaller groups and just wait in that parking lot for everyone else to cross and then regroup. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if someone was trying to cross 42 and didn't look to see someone coming...or even had the sun blinding them from traffic coming from PC...it was about that time of day where that could've been a possibility. I think we passed by it around 6:30ish and sunset was at 7:11.
  21. I was cycling out that way with friends last night and came up on it..EMS and cops were already everywhere. It was getting later and we didn't have a ton of daylight left so cops let us walk up 42 a bit and cross away from the bulk of the accident so we could continue on Wells back to Dublin. I run a gopro while riding so I go most of it on video. A truck hauling a boat was in the cornfield on southwest side of intersection, smaller crossover SUV and maybe a civic at the stop on wells, black suv fucked in the road infront of battery shop. I've got some stills from the video I'll upload in a min. Gallery - https://imgur.com/gallery/LHbJF
  22. If you have state farm, pull it out onto the road, call them, tell them you don't feel safe driving it and want to get it towed home, pay the tow truck driver, take your receipt to your insurance agent, get paid back...my agent cut me a check in about 30 seconds when I took my receipt in...thought I was gonna have to wait for it to get processed, corporate to mail me a check, etc. Nope. She was like "give me just a second to write it out."
  23. How long does the room need to be cleared out to use one of these? my girlfriend moved in about a year ago and her dogs sleeping in the bedroom have caused the room to smell like piss (they're house trained, its just from where they constantly are). I'd gladly trade someone some quality IPAs to borrow one long enough to do a couple rooms.
