Speeders What gear do you run? (Detectors/Jammers/Waze/Escortlive?)
Berto replied to thorne's topic in Passing Lane
I usually run 5th gear, unless my vehicle has a 6th gear, then i'll run that when speeding. -
I've had both metric and standard of these forever. Got them on black friday at Sears for $29.99 a set. So its a good price. I've wrenched all kind of stuff with these, they are great.

I am with you. I had a water heater go out just before we had family over for thanksgiving. I didn't want to mess with it. Its a tight spot, it was full of hard water deposits and probably weighed 300lbs, and required a gas connection. If you make a bad move and have a gas leak and a resulting 'thermal incident' good luck on getting any insurance coverage. I bought my water heater at Lowe's also had them install it. It was very reasonably priced, and a certified plumber did the work. Truth be told it has a 1 yr warranty (everything) So if they have to come back to do work its on them. Which was great because my new one kept popping off the relief valve, turns out it needed an expansion tank. I usually do all my own work, but this wasn't worth messing with.

So I posted this on facebook, so sorry for those that are seeing this repeated but figured this was a big enough deal everybody should know. As you know years ago emissions regulations made fuel cans go to a new style valve in 2009 which are a pain in the but. The damn valves leak when you are pouring and are in general a pain in the but. I had 2 old style cans with cracked spouts over the years. Well I was strolling through rural king looking for something unrelated and stumbled upon these which are the old style. They have 2 different pitches included in the kit so it should work for just about any can. I was so stoked. I am going to go back tomorrow and pick up a few more. http://www.ruralking.com/ez-pour-replacement-spout-kit.html Enjoy.

You're right on that. I have 300 ft-lbs at 2500 rpm. if it were a turbo car then my opinion may be different.

I'm pretty content with 330 rwhp in my RX7. At one point I was looking at a cam, intake, and long tubes which I was hoping would get me around 400 rwhp in 2800 lb car. I would be pretty darn content with that. I like that the car is very very streetable and isn't breaking all the time.

I really enjoy OBX. I didn't think it was overpriced and I enjoyed the boring part. Especially since I walked on the beach for an hour on a Sautrday afternoon and didn't see a single other person.....that's what I like! I stayed in a decent place on Ocracoke Island (only accessible by ferry). Drove the scenic highway. There are 3-4 lighthouses to check out, the most famous one is on Hatteras island, its pretty neat, I think the tallest in north america? Also they move it due to erroding coast line so there are some cool videos of that. Also in Kitty Hawk is where the wright brothers did their first flight. Worth a trip there too.

Not sure if I'm crazy about the post processing stuff I tried on these. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Car%20Photography/042713_7517_edited-1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Car%20Photography/042713_7516_edited-1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Car%20Photography/042713_7515_edited-1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Car%20Photography/042713_7503_edited-1.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c192/BertoBizkit/Fred%20Miranda%20Forum%20Entries/Berto%20Photography/Misc%20Car%20Photography/042713_7492_edited-1.jpg

Nice truck, didn't realize that they didn't offer manuals anymore, thats really depressing. I wouldn't recommend rhino lining the wheel wells, if its not done right gunk and water will get behind (faster rusting than leaving it alone) it and rust away before you have a chance to do anything. Get the real rust proofing if you're going to do that. Also for the dodge they had a rear fender well option. I like it because it keeps crap off the metal and also keeps gravel from jumping up and chipping the paint. Not sure if the Chevy has that option. Rhino line/ line-x is a must. Just don't get any oil or fuel on it, it'll eat it up.

Great pictures and a good way to volunteer doing something you already like. Might inspire me to do the same although not as good of a result! My Fiancee works with child protective services. She tells me some families can't afford family pictures (never had any) etc etc been thinking about helping there.

My Parents have two of them. And they love them. I don't mind them at all. Mom drives hers around in pick-up truck mode (seats folded down). You can fit a LOT of stuff in there. Very practical and economic. If I was looking for an economical daily driver this would definitely be a front runner. Both of theirs are manual transmissions, my only gripe is their gearing. I think they turn like 3,500 rpm at 72mph. You can imagine in Indiana with 70mph speed limits is not uncommon to go 78ish, and its really screaming. Thats my only real caution, other than that they are great.

You have a very narrow point of view. I agree their intentions are likely for their own benefit and advancement of their career but at the same time there are plenty of people helping. Additionally video and photographic footage are a paramount source of evidence as to what happened which could lead to justice. Everyone on here wants to act like they're Chuck Norris, but if not one...but 2 bombs go off, most people's reactions are to run away.

In my opinion, whatever you do get a manual. If you don't want a rusty truck, get one from Texas. I got mine a 'north texas truck stop'. Also, I added the factory wheel well option for the rear to keep the salt and junk out from the underside of the truck

Tell you the truth I was a bit dissapointed, maybe I just didn't get it. I'm a big Denzel fan 'he can do no wrong' but the movie just didn't do it for me. John Goodman was better than Denzel. That same night we rented 'Argo fuk yourself' which he is in too.
