Due to some engine improvements and such I'd stay away from 97 & 98 LS1 engines. I paid $2100 for my 2000 LS1 w/ 64k Had PCM, all accessories and wiring harness. If I had to do it all again I'd probably buy the engine and trans together. T56's are pretty salty.

The article I read mentioned the assistant coach taking over next year as interim. I really can't believe this. Hopefully we don't end up like Michigan....in a continuous downward spiral. I wonder what this helps our recruiting AT ALL

Is this legit? No its not a good idea.

Wonder who the guy was that yelped 'oooh oooh' in a girly voice at :36 in the video. LOL

Unless those axles still have the brakes hooked up..... That guy has/had an LS1 RX7 and posted that up on our forum a little while ago.

Outter Banks. Emerald Isle.

Nice I did that on the battery for my car a few months ago. The battery was $99.99 and I had to buy the post terminal protectors for $1 to get over the $100 threshold. Pretty smokin' deal. got the 8yr prorated warranty.

I wonder where an LS1 RX7 would fit....other? lol I didn't even see this up here until Tim mentioned it in a PM. Daily pic might be a bit too much to get participation. Lord knows I don't have time to support that. Maybe weekly or monthly? Anyway I am a noob to photoshop and hope to learn a lot.

I personally did not see any evidence of overzealous cops. First time we went last year there was a cop sitting at the beginning and one at the end. This time there was a cop that seemed to make it way down the dragon stopping at the guys that were taking pics. He didn't really seemed to be concerned with anything. He was standing about 10 ft from his cruiser with his arms crossed talking with the photographer. However, on Thursday there was NO police activity. It picked up towards Fri afternoon and Saturday. I had fun and saw the sights. The speedlimit on the dragon is 30 mph but the turns are so tight that even at 35mph you are having a decent time. Unless you are 'time trialing' like I saw folks doing (gassing hard out of the turn and then jamming on the brakes) you probably don't need to break the speed limit to have fun. When we rode the blue ridge parkway, that was a sights type of drive. I personally think the Cherohala skyway was more fun than the dragon.

Thanks! Not sure what was done to the A4. Suspension stuff for sure. Turbo was pretty loud I could hear the damn thing at any point over idle, even just pulling out of the lot. Last year it wasn't a guy trip but this year for one reason or another no one's GF/wife went. I think mine bailed because her face was green by the time we got done with the dragon the first time! Oh yeah and for the record my truck got 15.6 mpg (hand calculated) on the entire trip, pulling my car and 2 bikes in the bed, and all the gear associated with 3 ppl.

Was awesome. It was a great chance go have Doug meet me out there from Charlotte, its been a few yrs since I've seen him. Trip went really well. No huge issues except for the Porsche Boxer S dropping a half shaft on the Chrohala skyway. I've included a pic of one of the guy's A4 (for the Audi fanboys, Jones). The A4 was actually very impressive, but one thing I learned this trip is the importance of sweet tires (not that I didn't know this but it was very evident). Also, there was a BoxsterS on the trip, and I went for a quick run with him down the dragon. And I will say I have made fun of Boxsters in the past but this thing had just tires and a seasoned driver behind the wheel and it was very impressive. Power band was surprisingly smooth. Trip was great, cabin was great, friends were great. I really can't complain. Here are some pics. There are a lot of pics of my car, but its my thread so I can do what I want. Deal with it. Price drop $2350 on the jetski. Tired of dealing with punks on craigslist.

I was susprised at how well Doug's new 5.0 did at the Dragon this past weekend. never been a huge mustang fan but performance wise its pretty good bang for your buck.
-
I just got a Nikon D3100 a few months ago at Costco. It was the camera with 2 lenses, bag, card, battery. Its been a great starter kit. It was $700

You'd like that, no one to prove audi cars are junk. Its not CR thats annoying, just a select few.

Choke on it. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90381&highlight=%27getaway%27 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88355&highlight=%27weekend+trip%27 This is almost as bad as the 'hay what car should I buy threads' where people already know what they want.

I think this is the 4th time this has been asked on CR this year alone.

I really liked it. I was kind of disappointed that there was virtually no racing or sweet cars or anything, even the one race was anticlimactic, 'we hongry'. I was hoping to see how F&F3 related to anything in this, but there really wasn't, I think the only thing we were going to take out of it was Han. Oh yeah and when dwayne johnson jumps up in the fight scene ninja style, that was impressive. Thats one heave dude throwing his weight around! Tripple edit, if you look at the credits, there is a character in the movie named solely 'Berto', thats not a coincidence. Street cred.

Not sure, it took me forever to get my shifting 'right' and natural on the civic, I don't think its because the rev hang. I think it was because of the drive by wire.
-
I don't mind the rev hang anymore, my synchros probably like it better.

3rd gear/tranmissions stink on the SI's check out 8thcivic.com Mine isn't an SI, but i still love it from a daily driver's stand point. Its not bad in the snow at all. but with the size tires that you run on an SI its hard to find all weather tires that aren't directional. (directional = fail in snow)
